I will admit it's a bit odd they are doing it right at the end of the test. They told me 10 minutes ago they were starting the maintaince (in game) but I haven't been kicked out yet.

Yeah I ran my ass to the inn to go retire lol.

They slowly fixed the 3102.. I survivored to play like 2 hours before shutdown. Its all good. I have no fear that my character will be stuck in 3102 upon early access.

They haven't fixed it for everyone.  Before the maintenance, I was still locked out.  :(

If I did my math right, we should have about/less than an hour of playtime after the maintenance ends :\

That's if maintaince lasts as long as it says. If you played FFXI, you would know that their expectation setting can sometimes be a bit off.

Still in game at the moment. Are they really fixing it? I haven't been booted out. Killing Roselings in Western La Nosca. :/

So the servers are coming back up in a little more than two hours... but isn't that around the time beta ends? Or are they extending beta to make up for our missed hours? (LOL yeah right.)

there will be about an hour to hour and thirty minutes left if they come back up on shedualed time.

NA] Beta Test Extended for Worlds Hosted on the NA and EU Datacenter (Aug. 18)

Thank you very much for your participation in the FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn Beta Test.

We are currently experiencing technical difficulties with Worlds hosted on the North American and European datacenter which is preventing certain characters from logging into the game.

An emergency maintenance, taking place between Aug. 18, 2013 9:30 p.m. to Aug. 19, 2013 12:30 a.m. (PDT), is currently underway to address characters experiencing this issue.

Phase 4 of the Beta Test was originally scheduled to conclude on Aug. 19, 2013 at 2:00 a.m. (PDT). However, given the fact that affected characters are numbering in the tens of thousands and the time it will take to address the situation including the time required for the emergency maintenance, we will be extending the Beta Test until Aug. 19, 2013 8:00 a.m. (PDT) for Worlds hosted on the North American and European datacenter.

We hope for your continued participation in the FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn Beta Test.

* The Beta Test will end as scheduled on Aug. 19, 2013 2:00 a.m. (PDT) for Worlds hosted on the Japanese datacenter.

We deeply apologize for the inconvenience caused by this prolonged issue and thank you for your patience.

I'm back in (well, I have been, but I've been busy playing, hehe)! Nice to see that they extended the beta to 11am (EST, anyway), but I've lost too much sleep this weekend, what with work and other general nastiness, so sadly I cannot take full advantage of this.

Still. I got to do a bunch of things I wanted to do - and using a PS3 controller with my PC to play this was one. I am thoroughly impressed. Targeting can be a bit wonky, but all in all, it's CERTAINLY comparable to mouse/keyboard. Gotta give Squeenix credit - on multiple counts. They're doing some pretty awesome things here. <3

well with the numbers the beta pulled I'm not surprised they had server issues. I was fortunate the server reset got me back in game so I could log off in a normal spot + make sure I didn't have the 90000 bug ( I was able to do Leve quests and queue for dungeons so I'm okay ) plus I did a few more bits of testing while I could.

As for the #'s Supposedly over 150,000 log-ons at once which is a new record; and the number going around is over 4.5 million beta testers. There wasn't enough servers even with the additional JP and NA/EU servers.

3102 was probably due to massive server overload + the game lacking an AFK time out. odds are they are going to patch a few things + do some serious server upgrades to get those ping times down and server loads in check.

90000 is a different story and hopefully at launch everyone will be out of error 90000; It probably has to do with the server load as well, just wasn't as easy as "restarting the server" They might want to put in some kind of emergency "abandon" button which drops any activity you are in. Basically you can hit this button and after 30 seconds it force quits any "instanced" event you are in... be it a Duty, leve, dungeon etc. In short... it hard boots you back to your "bound(return)" point with all your flags set back to default.

Just for the record, the 4.5 million thing is some guy that misread something gaining momentum. He thought it was 150k people concurrent per server and then timed it by the amount of servers. There are no actual numbers on how many unique players there were as far as I know.
