Reppu Posted August 21, 2013 Share #28 Posted August 21, 2013 The only code you may have to deal with is the actual game registration code, I imagine? Proof that you purchased your copy and all. I'd be surprised if the early-access code counted for that, considering how, ah, easy those are to illegitimately obtain. Link to comment

Does it make you feel better to know I had to mash confirm like twenty times none the less? :cactuar: Link to comment
Vix Posted August 21, 2013 Share #30 Posted August 21, 2013 For those who received an EU code. Go back to the preorder site (which is probably getting flooded again) and reenter your original code. It should spit a NA one back at you. I got an EU code the first time, but went back and retried, finally getting my correct NA code. Of course, you may very well want to wait til Square gives the 'official' ok. Link to comment

Well my Square profile now has FFXIV: ARR under registered games, I think that means I'm all good doesn't it? Link to comment

This is just speculation, because I haven't seen the info personally, but based off of how other games work, you will just have to enter the physical game's code (well, or digital game's code) when it's released. There's usually a 48 hour grace period after launch to give people time to enter it. Link to comment

You know how people are but this is right.. I got a EU one via email but I tried again and got the US one (Finally) and punched it in. All is well! Link to comment
Dubs Posted August 21, 2013 Share #34 Posted August 21, 2013 Well my Square profile now has FFXIV: ARR under registered games, I think that means I'm all good doesn't it? I originally had this early this morning 2am EST. At noon I registered again after a while 12pm EST and then got my code. I did get a RAAU code but I didn't get a "wrong region" error and proceeded through to the client download which I already have. I think there is just so much redirecting going on SE server side with aligning correct pages and codes. Check again a little later. Link to comment
House Sardel Posted August 21, 2013 Share #35 Posted August 21, 2013 This might sound like a stupid question, but how does one know if they got a correct region code? I finally got past the Error 3 to receive my early access code and everything seems to have been smooth sailing after that. I just want to make sure though. Link to comment

If the code starts with RAAU it's an NA code. If it starts with RAAE, it's an EU code. Link to comment
House Sardel Posted August 21, 2013 Share #38 Posted August 21, 2013 Ah, fantastic! Mine was RAAU and I am, indeed, in the U.S. Link to comment

Moondoggie Posted August 21, 2013 Share #41 Posted August 21, 2013 Don't know what magic everyone else seems to be using but if i punch in my code all i get is error 3 no matter how many times i do it. Edit: The second i posted this it actually finally went through Link to comment
Crow Bookkeep Posted August 21, 2013 Share #42 Posted August 21, 2013 Everything seems to be good on my end but I have noticed that I never got the confirmation email. SE said that some people have not been receiving the e-mails from their auto-mated system, you may be one of the ones affected. I don't know how to solve this just putting the possibility out there. But if you put in the 20 code that it showed when you put in the 18 code it should have been confirmed regardless. Link to comment
Moondoggie Posted August 21, 2013 Share #43 Posted August 21, 2013 I took to printing off the page with the code that comes up. You might not get the email so best just take a note of it. You get the download link for the game on the confirmation page anyway the email just seems to be a back up of every bit of information. Link to comment
shotgunbadger Posted August 21, 2013 Share #44 Posted August 21, 2013 So if we bought a digital copy through Square's store how would we get our proper game code when the game launches? The receipt I got called it a pre-order code. Link to comment
Navarre Posted August 21, 2013 Share #45 Posted August 21, 2013 Yeah, finally got through and got my NA code. Up and registered. No confirmation email yet though. Ah well. Happy things seem to be working. Link to comment
Moondoggie Posted August 21, 2013 Share #46 Posted August 21, 2013 Well most things seem to be working. Registered on my services account and all that and i'll just hope when the day comes i can log in and play without any problems. This may be a silly question but is the early access period free? Like for example the game when it arrives at my door comes with 30 days subscription but i won't have that before early access starts. Do i need to set up a payment before i can access the game or is that just start and play then it'll want me to pay after the official launch? Link to comment
Colyer Posted August 21, 2013 Share #47 Posted August 21, 2013 I think I got everything squared away... I haven't yet received a confirmation email, of course knowing my luck it was sent to the other email address...kept a copy of the RAAU code just in case I need to re-try later. Link to comment

I went to my SE account manager to see if I could set up a subscription but it's still blank. So I guess it's not time yet. Link to comment
shotgunbadger Posted August 21, 2013 Share #49 Posted August 21, 2013 I think I'm derping out but I can't even find account management, just my profile, Link to comment
Moondoggie Posted August 21, 2013 Share #50 Posted August 21, 2013 It's really confusing to find. I had to google account management for SE and i found it. I think it's something like "services management" SE just loves to make everything over complicated. Link to comment
