Also, for anyone who hasn't done the level 50 Goldsmithing quest or does not remember, I believe this may be how a taller character hugging a Lalafel might work should you be interested. Or perhaps not... but it's something to look at from a bad angle at least! It could just as easily not have been programmed in and animated on the fly but still!

/pet let me down a bit but I don't really see how /hug could do the same..... unless you don't actually "hug" a person but just curve your arms around ahead of you which can be "made" to look like a hug if positioned correctly..... ugh..

Sadly, I think Osric's right. I remember Yoshi mentioning that they don't really have a way for our characters to actually hug one another, but hug emotes would at least give the impression of a hug.

Positioning isn't a problem. You just try several until you get it right; and you will.

 

In fact, I prefer that way to auto adjusted hug, because I don't really want my characters to be actually and automatically hugged by any stranger.

And yes, I don't want to be hugged without permission asked. Hopefully the emote will have a confirmation window like Trade. I'd require one for anything emoting physical contact, from hug to slap and the like.

Agreed. I quite enjoy the bear hugs my man gives =3

 

And maleqo'te touchyness doesn't need to get worse...
