Unnamed Mercenary Posted December 1, 2014 Share #51 Posted December 1, 2014 Oh, tears of joy!! :') Finally!! Use of the limit break for me!! :bouncy: (Sad bard who just stared at the limit break action and went meh... :dodgy: One day, one day I will conquer you and make you of some use! Thank you, Patch 2.45!!)) But there're been so many times a BRD has done the healer LB3 to save the party. (I'm not even kidding here. It was kinda sad, but also kinda amazing). I am totally looking forwards to seeing new LB and new LB3s for jobs though. Link to comment
Kage Posted December 1, 2014 Author Share #52 Posted December 1, 2014 If I don't get that wedding dress I may actually kill someone. The Coil news about being able to help friends but not rolling on loot? Best news in a LONG time. I want all the wedding things. I proposed to my Highlander raid member after being rejected. "Hey, ____, marry you Big Hulking DRG <3! I'll pay for the wedding." I think I was still rejected. I can't wait to take advantage of being able to help friends get accustomed to coil without having to deal with lockouts. But then it's still FCOB. People will still need to clear T9 to get there. Or T5 and T9. Did you ever end up setting up that ls? It'll be quite useful the more people clear T9. No more need to stick with just your team every week. Ughhh yes I have. I have been unlucky to either not be searching at the right times or... not searching at the rugh times. Let me know when I can throw a pearl and I'll make sure to be available to do so if I can! I know a variety of T9 strats now. And some I know don't work very well that people try suggesting Link to comment

Warren Castille Posted December 2, 2014 Share #55 Posted December 2, 2014 I'm looking forward to tank LB being reworked. The level 1 is all-but useless (healer LB would more than make up for the damage resisted, but then again so does medica/medica 2/ basically anything) and the level 2 isn't enough to warrant use over a damage version. Aside from using it to help nudge progression on specific phases and (arguably still, given gear inflation) Ultima HM there's no reason for a tank to ever LB unless they're the last one standing. Only places I've seen Tank LB used are... 1) Ultima HM 2) Titan Hard/EX ...and with the echoness it isn't even done anymore. 3) Central Decks (SCoB Turn 3 /Turn 8) when someone gets hit with 4k or less damage while afflicted with Allagan field (it saves parties, but gosh the healers have stress afterward MANTRA MANTRA MANTRA) 4) When the team is going to win something anyway and the tank uses it because it looks cool ...it really does look cool But meh, there aren't many situations where it would SAVE a party. Damage and healing level threes are so valuable in its place. Link to comment
Kellach Woods Posted December 2, 2014 Share #57 Posted December 2, 2014 Y: Something about tomato ketchup… (spicy tomato relish?) We’ll be making it easier for crafters who are behind to somewhat catch up. Ye shrewd motherfuckers you kept this from me. Mah tears, they are of joy. Erik Mynhier Posted December 2, 2014 Share #58 Posted December 2, 2014 Q10: In a previous interview, you mentioned that we will able to tackle instanced dungeons by ourselves. Are there still plans to implement this feature? A10: Yes, there are still plans to implement this feature. While there isn’t too much we can reveal at this time, just to give you a preview, we are currently discussing a new type of content where you will control your own unit for your grand company, add NPCs in your unit, and take them to dungeons to level them up. O_O All of the yes! CAPTAIN MIRKE IS GONNA BE A THANG! AN IN GAME THANG! /grabby hands This was my favorite thing in this letter, I love military stuff, and leading a unit in a dungeon sounds like a blast. Link to comment

Warren Castille Posted December 4, 2014 Share #61 Posted December 4, 2014 Collision from Gilgamesh apparently used Tank LB on Turn 13's Teraflare and nabbed a World Second. It has its uses. Aside from using it to help nudge progression on specific phases I actually included that bit specifically because I knew folks were using it in Final Coil. Prior to this patch, there hasn't been a "need" for tank LB since Ultima, an i80 fight. Lower, given the gear rewards. Edit: This sounds snappier and jerkier than intended by a mile, but can't think of how else to explain it. I come in peace! Link to comment
Kage Posted December 4, 2014 Author Share #62 Posted December 4, 2014 So according to a reply Yoshi-P made in the JP section of the official forums... The nerfs for Ninja... Aeolian Edge: 50TP -> 60 TP Shadow Fang: 60 TP -> 70 TP Kiss of the Wasp: increase damage -> increase physical damage Kiss of the Viper: increase damage -> increase physical damage Link to comment
Melkire Posted December 4, 2014 Share #63 Posted December 4, 2014 Oh, understood, Warren. I'm just saying, it sounds a little odd to go "well, tank LB isn't useful... except in all these cases where it is!" I was all "...wat." So according to a reply Yoshi-P made in the JP section of the official forums... The nerfs for Ninja... Aeolian Edge: 50TP -> 60 TP Shadow Fang: 60 TP -> 70 TP Kiss of the Wasp: increase damage -> increase physical damage Kiss of the Viper: increase damage -> increase physical damage One day I will understand why Shadow Fang doesn't cost the 80 TP that is standard for most DoW DoTs, especially seeing as how it gets a combo potency of 200. One day.... EDIT: Figures that my 1000th post would be about ninjas instead of monks or warriors. *facedesks* Link to comment
Kage Posted December 4, 2014 Author Share #64 Posted December 4, 2014 because Ninjas be ninjas. TWO DAYS AFTER MY BIRTHDAY AHHHHHHHH I hopefully will be working on T10 then and not still trying to get the rest of my static through T9. @)@ Link to comment

I'm just saying, it sounds a little odd to go "well, tank LB isn't useful... except in all these cases where it is!" I was all "...wat." Yeah, that explanation makes sense. I was just thinking of the comparison where Healer LB is technically useful in any fight anywhere if people are wiping (which can be any single fight in the game, in any dungeon, on any boss) and DPS limits are useful in any fight where the goal is to deplete the enemy's HP (aka every single fight in the game, in every dungeon, on every boss). Tank LB's got maybe half a dozen useful applications in a couple hundred instances. RARGH TANK SE GIVE MY CLASS MORE STUFF Ninja TP costs baffle me. Link to comment
Kage Posted December 4, 2014 Author Share #66 Posted December 4, 2014 Personally, the tank lb would be -much- more useful if the % was higher for all levels. Sometimes that o-shit moment isn't enough when you hit it. (Remember when people hit Tank LB during Garuda? lol) Link to comment
Aldotsk Posted December 4, 2014 Share #67 Posted December 4, 2014 Why is there never an answer about more level 1 vanity glamour gears? I've asked this question like every Q&A thread and had plenty of likes by players, but it is never answered at all. I wish Yoshi-P would at least give more hint for us that there would be more in the future. Like be dyeable and only be used for outfits. Sigh... :C Link to comment

Kellach Woods Posted December 4, 2014 Share #71 Posted December 4, 2014 Kiss of the Wasp: increase damage -> increase physical damage Kiss of the Viper: increase damage -> increase physical damage Makes a lot more sense now - I was wondering how putting poison on your blades helped you do more damage with your ninjutsu mudras. Honestly, I love Fistfighters and Hussar's Jackcoat set but only different dyes I've seen are Skywatchers. And most of these gears dont drop a lot except bunch of cokes and pot-ashes. ;-; (and people barely do these dungeons to farm the gears) Link to comment

Whatever you don't want is likely to be armorer/blacksmith/goldsmiths and those are my desynths because I like hating myself apparently. ^^ Link to comment
