Glamour Requests

Recommended Posts

I want to be able to make use of bulky armour on all classes. My biggest pet peeve with the game is how fans of the classic 'warrior' archetypes are forced to be held hostage by playing a tank if they wish to indulge in playing a character with a sword, shield and thick armour.

I think it'd be fun to be able to wear my culinarian outfit to battle. I mean, a fisticuffs chef or a singing chef in battle? How cool would that be?

No need to answer. It'd be real, real cool. xD

You can totaly use the Valentione set for that ♥

[Edit] I updated the 1st post, please try to most here to talk about the glamour you would like, avoiding the "I would like everything on any class" so we can progress ♥ .

Don't forget this topic if you wanna rant : http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/207332-Yoshi-your-reply-to-Q22-in-the-XVIII-Live-Letter-was-false-and-dishonest !

Also question, because I only just realized that this can be interpreted differently, do you know if they mean that they'd consider them individually and implement them for everyone, or if they would consider them for individual people? I'd assume the first one because the second one would seem like way too much effort on the part of their GM staff, but I wanted to ask anyway.

Clearly to impement them for everyone :)

Shirt of Divine Light to DOM or DOW. As long as it gets opened to something other then Bard.

I add this to the list

Are there any overcoaty like heavy armors around or anything that looks like plate? I enjoy my current glamour but! I wish I had something a lot more flowy.

There are a lot of piraty sets, I encourage you to have a look on the Limsa hunt rewards and sets such as Buccaneer which drop at Dzemael :) .

Because I want all of these things. :U

In general, I would like to make glamors only check if the specific job requirement is a DoW job or DoM.

For example, I want to glamor the Shirt of Divine Light onto a Dragoon. The Shirt is for BRD which is DoW (lvl 50). A DRG is also DoW (lvl50), and can then wear the Shirt.

So instead of using the strict job requirement for wear, the glamor is only restricted to Disciple!

The arguments, for me at least, drop completely flat.

In the case of pvp, it's a moot point because it states the class over everyone's head. There can be no confusion.

In PVE, there is a list to the side of every player, and their class icon, and super convenient color coordination. Again, little room for confusion.

But, if I had to compromise, I would break DOW/DOM down into Tank, Physical Dps, Caster. Done.

Another route for compromise is that if one has leveled the class, they can use the items for glamour. This could be spun as rewarding player participation.

Yes we all want that, though I would do another type of group to fit more to the "we wanna keep the appearance" blabla :

WAR, PAL, DRG -> Together as they are supposed to be able to wear some heavy like armors.

NIN, BRD, MNK -> Together

Disciple of Magic -> Together

This is how it should be. You earn the gear, you should get to wear it however you want. But good luck getting SE to see that kind of obvious logic.
