PSA: Stop wasting money on level IV materia for Novus
Clover replied to Zyrusticae's topic in FFXIV Discussion
Same. Well, I did finish the books, but then I completely pushed Novus to the side because I didn't really want to spend my life savings on it. From what I'm reading here, it seems my life savings wouldn't have even been enough *sweatdrops*. Thank you for the info! -
We'll have to agree to disagree here, as I still don't think Yoshida has lied, and neither do I think that the current house system is bad. As a side note, Archeage has limited land as well. Also, people can plant their freaking gardens just at the entrance of your house (call it first hand experience). So I'll take FFXIV's house system any day. I'm in love with the neighbourhoods and I love how we get our own space. They just need to add many more wards and I'll be fully happy.
-
FFXIV has more than 2million of subscribers, but... -How many people are actually active? -Out of the people who are active, how many people actually want houses? -Out of the people who want houses, how many have more than 1kk to pay for them? Also, the graphic doesn't mention that a single FC house can hold around 500 instanced rooms for people who can't get personal houses. I believe that Yoshida's intention isn't to bother his players; he's doing what he can. Give it time and see how it develops; the housing system is not finished yet, and no one has said that the next wards will be the last either. And just for the record, I will cry many girly tears if I can't finally get a home on time for the next patch, but I sure won't blame Yoshida for it @x@ In fact, I'll have faith that he'll offer more solutions.
-
It all comes down to personal opinion, of course. I must be one of the few people who don't have any problem with the current system, and I very much prefer the current beautiful neighbourhoods to a single instanced home that no one else can see. I'm fine because they will add many more wards, and nothing stops them from adding more in future patches. Prices are also going down as hours pass (or that's what the patch notes said), so many people will still be able to afford a house by the next update. Space is still limited, yes. Not everyone will be able to get a house, and not everyone will have the money for it either. Many games with house systems have limited space (though not all of them have such nice maps as FFXIV does; my Archeage house is a pain). It is a pity that space is limited, but if the only solution is to get rid of neighbourhoods, I certainly prefer to deal with the former. tl;dr: I for one like the current system, and I'm eager to try my luck when the next patch arrives. Just wanted to add my two cents!

I didn't really know you, but... whatever happened, I hope you'll feel better soon. Best of lucks from now on! Eorzea will be here for the day you decide to come back.

I love the new poses and emotes. Best feature from the new patch in my opinion. Clover's wand doesn't really like this though.

That Works for me (>w<) Positioning isn't a problem. You just try several until you get it right; and you will. In fact, I prefer that way to auto adjusted hug, because I don't really want my characters to be actually and automatically hugged by any stranger.

Haha, I haven't even done Ramuh NM myself. Too busy with Frontlines (X_X) *Queues again*.

With a dejected expression, K'mih walked with the rest of the huntresses, albeit she didn't stand nearby K'nahli this time. She needed to talk to her sister as soon as possible, but the fear of meeting those cold eyes again was paralyzing. K'mih didn't need to face rejection right now; she didn't need to feel guilty about something she didn't even know. When she timidly raised her head to look around, her eyes stopped at the figure of her father in the distance, as if he was the only comfort. Not even her mother, who was also getting ready for the hunt; just him. His invitation for K'ile to visit his tent still rang her ears. Had it been anyone else, perhaps it'd been possible for it to have been a joke. But her father didn't usually joke, did he...?
-
What was that? Why was K'nahli directing her anger at her? Whatever had happened to the blue haired huntress, it hadn't been K'mih's fault. She hadn't done anything, had she? Then why? The girl's shy smile vanished, replaced by worry and confusion. She even frowned slightly, as if K'nahli's anger was starting to be contagious. "K'nah--" K'mih started, willing to ask, demand an answer from her sister. Her voice was quickly interrupted by K'iara's as she approached the two of them. Defeated for that moment, K'mih's eyes could just lower to the ground, making it more than obvious that something was indeed wrong. Something was, wasn't it? Even K'iara should notice it when K'nahli decided to take her leave, as if spending any more time with any of the other girls was a waste. K'mih remained on the spot, eyes down, half a frown above them. She didn't add anything to what K'nahli had already said. What could she say anyway?

Ugh, voices... I only like the Japanese ones (1-3). The rest are all really annoying to my ears, even in the creator samples. I wish I could completely mute a certain female voice I've seen around; it sounds like going to a dungeon with Mickey Mouse, and it's louder than anything else (=A=; That one (among some others) really drive me nuts. In any case, I recommend you to make several characters to try out several voices before you decide for your main chara.

Some things went well. A few worries had lifted from K'mih's shoulders. For one, they seemed to have found a place that provided everything they'd been lacking. For another, K'ile had been found badly injured, unfit to carry through with his challenge. By the time he'd recover from his wounds, if he ever did, the Nunh's own injuries should no longer be a problem. K'mih had no doubts that her father would easily beat the daring Tia by then. He was younger and stronger. He was the best. Other things, however, didn't go as well. Whatever had been troubling K'nahli during the trip, it'd ended up affecting the way she even treated K'mih. The proud huntress had been acting cold and distant, as if she wanted to push the whole world away. This time, K'mih wouldn't be the exception that managed to bring her some peace of mind. Furthermore, the first hunt in a completely unknown territory was about to start; K'mih feared she couldn't do this alone. "K'nahli..." She approached her dear sister again, her axe safe and ready behind her back. Albeit she tried to smile, she still looked nervous. "Could we... go together during the hunt?"

Screeeeeeens! K'mih at the celebrations. The Twin Adder, likely running to their own doom. I love this place. Andre.

The three nations are at war, who wins? Not the Adders. Call it personal experience (=A=; In all seriousness, from a canon point of view... not the Adders *nods*.

Come celebrate the 3rd Beach Party Festival and Date Auction!

Another fun event I missed due to timezones *sad*. Oh well. The screens look great! -
From a certain distance, a pink haired miqo'te had been observing the joyful scene. Her father was playing in the water, leaving some of the weights he'd been carrying behind. It was a very unusual, yet very beautiful sight. K'ile's intervention didn't feel as nice, however; it erased K'mih's smile and made her heart pound faster. Was K'ile planning to drown the Nunh? Why wasn't her father coming out of the water yet...? After seconds that felt like ages, the sensation of relief when her father's face emerged to breathe still left her weak. She wanted to think that K'yohko'd had everything under control, that he'd simply allowed K'ile to do as he pleased in order to humour him. The Nunh was still stronger, wasn't he? K'mih smiled again, albeit lightly, and approached the lone figure of her sister. K'nahli had been observing the scene as well, apparently. "K'nahli..." she called her, warmly as she always did. Her sister had been too serious from the moving; perhaps she needed to relax like her father was doing. "Why don't we bathe with them too?" There'd been a brush of shyness in that last sentence. K'mih's unhealthy weakness for the Nunh wasn't easy to hide. That had been, in fact, the main reason why she preferred her elder sister to come with her. Before K'nahli had any chance to reply, something else demanded K'mih's full attention. Her eyes grew wider at the sight of K'ile and K'yohko moving in too close, closer than it was safe. Closer than she'd ever been. Unconsciously, she tightened her fist. Ah... What was that feeling twitching in her stomach...? [...............] K'rahto Tia had been a bit too far from the springs to get wet. He did hear the splashes, the laugher, and the complaints. For a miqo'te who enjoyed the peace of silence and who had so much difficulty in the art of having fun, all the ruckus was nothing short of an annoyance. The only good side was that, judging from her angry yell, he knew K'nahli wasn't planning to get into those damn springs. The mere thought of another Tia looking at her was maddening, and there was no way K'rahto could even approach the place without raising questions about his true intentions.

"Did you call?"

How does a Roe petting a Lalafell work? If anyone can do this, please take a screen! I'm personally waiting for personal houses in order to place my chocobo in a stable. I don't know how gardening works in a FC, as I doubt I can plant anything I want in a shared and limited space. Anyway, I love how they keep adding more details and emotes to the game. SE gets my eternal respect.

I'm currently not so worried about RP as I'm about endgame, since as I said, I don't play tavern RP. I've decided I'm mostly going to RP over the forum or privately with my friends; private plots seem the best way to get actual plots running. I will love to attend any RP event, however. And of course, I'd love to be in contact with other EU players interested in endgame as well!

It was very useful to me, as the big news were posted there first. So I've voted "Yes". If possible, it'd be nice to have it back.

It might have been half a second, maybe less. With her face still slightly lowered, only K'mih's eyes raised for a small fraction of a second to look at K'ile. It was like an ephemeral sigh, like a blurry vision you couldn't quite determine if it'd been just a part of your imagination. It was like stabbing him, like a deep declaration of hatred. And it was gone as soon as it appeared, hidden behind innocence and fragility. With her gaze lowered again, K'mih simply nodded, submissive and apparently understanding, and turned to take her leave. There was nothing more to add.

For a moment, there might have been a pang of melancholy in the girl's eyes. Both Andre and Xydane had made it clear for her: she wouldn't be allowed to come while they risked their lives. Naturally, their concern about her well being was tied to their lack of faith in her abilities, which meant that she could end up being nothing short of a burden. A burden wasn't what she wanted to become, and she couldn't deny that, maybe, she was unprepared to be otherwise. She did feel unprepared at that moment. Lowering her gaze slightly, Clover tried to be reasonable and not get in the way, for there was no time for stupid arguments. Alerting the Adder was actually a very important matter; it was crucial, in fact, and someone had to do it. If she could at least help this way, then she supposed it'd be good. "Understood. I will inform the Adder of the current situation..."
