"......" The Tia didn't say anything as K'nahli walked away. He simply stared at her from the same unchanging position, and he'd remain that way for a bit longer even after she was gone. As long seconds passed, the boy ended up raising his gaze to the sky and breathed in. Slowly. Ul'dah might be at least a sun away. It'd be no short trip. And during all that time, he was expected to spend every minute, every second sharing her space and breathing the same air she did. Behind would remain the comfort of his own solitude, now pushed away by a presence capable of shaking his temper. K'rahto exhaled, and the growing rush of both excitement and discomfort forced him to tighten his fists. Traveling with K'nahli was going to be unbearable for many reasons, he knew. A test, yes. That's what this was. There was nothing much to be prepared for the trip. Some food, some water, and the spear he'd been carrying all along. He was quick to gather everything, and cautious not to run into his sister. He'd leave without saying good-bye to anyone, and so he waited for K'nahli on the same spot he'd been training, away from the rest of the tribe.

How does your RL reflect into your character?
Clover replied to Branson Thorne's topic in RP Discussion
My characters are always different people, none of them is based on myself. However, like it happens with any stranger I might meet irl, we might have some things in common. -Clover: We're both dreamy, weird, and antisocial, albeit we're different kinds of antisocial. Out of all the characters I've played in my different roleplays, Clover is the only one who happens to share my asexuality, albeit she also seems to be aromantic while I'm not. She's quite independent and capable of living on her own while I'm the opposite; she loves reading books while I hate them. I love cute Japanese fashion while she dresses normally, and she wears the kind of colours I'd never wear myself (brown!). -K'mih: We both have positive minds, we both display shy attitudes, and I guess we both like pink *laughs*. Other than that, and despite her occasional shyness, she's a very social and open person while I'm not. She trusts people way easier than I do, she doesn't seem to have personal insecurities while I have tons of them, and she basically belongs to a whole different culture which views I don't share at all. -K'rahto: We both can be obsessive and jealous, albeit we don't display our emotions the same way. He's also antisocial, but while I still try to be friendly, he doesn't try at all. He likes girls while I like boys *sweatdrops*. Overall, he's really unrelated to me, hahaha. -
[SPOILERS not hidden in SPOILERS] 2.55 Before the Fall Part 2

Wilred... ;_; I'm suddenly in the mood for remaking the Ala Mhigan character I deleted a while ago due to the lack of slots. She was supposed to be a part of his crew, so it'd be interesting to see her failing trying to avenge him. -
It is a Japanese game, made by Japanese people. There are games and movies that are released at the same time around the world; it doesn't mean that every dub is actually the original version. As for the listed voice actors, the very first ones listed are the Japanese ones. It is natural to also list the ones from the dubs to other languages, as those are released at the same time, but I still consider them dubs because -again- the game is Japanese.
-
Japanese voices, hands down. Several reasons: 1- Most importantly, it's the original (and therefore, the real) version. The creators wanted the characters to be and sound that way, and nothing really beats the original version of anything. I don't watch Game of Thrones in Spanish, just like I wouldn't play a Japanese game in any other language that's not Japanese. Original voices are sacred to me. 2- It's not just that the original version of anything is better and true to the creators' vision, but also that dubs tend to sound plain bad to me. Many characters just don't translate well in different cultures. 3- Japanese must be the only language that sounds good to my ears *laughs*.

[SPOILERS not hidden in SPOILERS] 2.55 Before the Fall Part 2
Clover replied to Kage's topic in FFXIV Discussion
I don't understand the Alphinaud hate. I'm naturally glad he lived, as he's one of my favourite NPCs. I found his emotional reaction and development both great and necessary, and they only made me like him more. He's a character whose views have been changing as the story went on, so I'm looking forward to see how he keeps developing in Heavensward! I'd also like to mention the eternal forgotten NPC, Wilred. I've always liked and paid attention to him. When he reappeared in the story to join the Crystal Braves, I was excited, even if a small voice inside of me warned me of the possible risk. I was shocked to suddenly find him dead, especially because he was the first death of 2.55 and I didn't expect that. However, after seeing the betrayal of the whole Crystal Braves group (which was a pretty hardcore scene for me), I must say I'm glad he died. At least I know he was clean until the very end, so he didn't have to step over my poor fan heart ;_; As for Crystal Braves... Ugh... I'd been wondering who the traitors were, but I didn't expect almost the whole group to be stained. The whole video was full of shocking moments for me. Things exploded and broke pretty fast. -

Emotional reply ahead. The main quest has killed me in many ways. As I told K'nahli, I feel that several of the friends I've made for the past year and a half are gone, and the world I've been living in is no more. It's an odd feeling. And it's exactly because the story has hurt me that I find it very good. The best I've seen in an online game, in fact. SE did really well. Very, very well, even if they had to step on our feelings for that =A=; -
That's a very good idea! I don't know if any of my Au Ras can actually participate due to their circumstances, but I think this idea will be very helpful to many of the upcoming new characters.

K'nahli wasn't the only one who caught the other's scent. It almost broke K'rahto's concentration, but he didn't stop his training. It wouldn't be the first time he noticed the huntress' presence nearby, anyway; it never meant anything, nothing more than a mere coincidence, for the two of them lived in the same tribe. This time, however, proved to be different when her unexpected voice called his name. The Tia froze his movement, albeit he didn't turn his head to look at her, nor did he change his stance to a normal and relaxed one. He had merely paused what he was doing, an indication that he was planning to continue after hearing what she had to say. His eyes were slightly narrowed, focused on an unimportant point in front of him. And as much as he mentally cursed himself for it, there was a very annoying, very stupid tickle in his stomach. She hadn't come to talk to him on her own accord, he knew that much even before she spoke further. There was no reason for her to seek him out unless someone wanted to deliver a message through her. What he'd never expect was a message like the one she voiced next, spoken so carelessly as if it lacked any sort of importance. It made the Tia's eyes open wider. It forced him to slowly adopt a normal stance, for his training really was over. Then, not less slowly, he turned his head and half turned his body towards her, observing the female with surprised eyes under a slight, perpetual frown. "...Why me?" He dared to ask in disbelief. Were the elders aware of his feelings towards the huntress? Even if they were, sending him to Ul'dah with K'nahli was an odd decision. Perhaps it was a test; it sure felt like it.

Back in the Sagolii, K'rahto used to train every morning in the same spot. The trip to the new land wasn't going to change that habit, even less after the events from the past night. The look in K'ile Tia's face as he choked in his own defeat, watched and judged by every single huntress from the tribe, it all was hard to forget. K'rahto wouldn't, couldn't allow himself to suffer the same humiliation. He needed to be patient, become stronger, strike at the perfect moment. And that moment wasn't now. That morning, the first one, he found himself a nice spot away from the rest of the tribe. It was just like the Sagolii; just he and his lance, with no one that might witness his weakness or his mistakes. Holding his weapon tightly, he swung his lance quickly, practicing all the movements that might save both his life and his honour someday. His eyes were fiercely focused on the imaginary enemy he visualised in front of him.

-K'mih has a crush on her father K'yohko. It's partially her mother's fault, as she's always talked to K'mih about how K'yohko is the best Nunh, the best man, etc. Granted, a Nunh isn't exactly like a normal father from our culture, but still... -My Tia K'rahto developed a crush (more like infatuation) on the huntress K'nahli right after the Calamity. It was all "thanks to" the Calamity, I guess. -My main character Clover has never had a crush on anyone, and I doubt she ever will. -My lalafell Nonopi... ????

It's been a super long time since we were in the same FC, but Jana would probably still be interested in seeing the K'tribe shaman magics. Maybe we could set something up? Ah, I guess you mean K'zhumi, I'm sure she'd be up for it! ^^ Two members (K'rahto and K'nahli) are going to visit Ul'dah soon, so it might be a good chance for other people to get in contact with the K tribe (though, generally speaking, the elders seem very wary of strangers, but anything can happen).
-
Yeeees! I'm still waiting for the lore, but as soon as we learn about it, maybe people could start plotting some background stories together. (EU players, are you willing? ;_; )
-
I don't really know anyone, so I'd be glad to RP with everyone in any RP event (as I don't tend to engage in casual RP).
-
Brand new characters for me. We're getting a completely new race with its own lore; not experiencing it would be a huge waste.

Um, if Clover visited me, I think I'd love listening to any of her grandpa's tales. I might even have a weird story or two I could tell her. The rest of the time... neither she nor I are good at socializing, and we have different interests too. She loves reading books for one, while I loathe that. Maybe she could read a book while I play FFXIV, so we wouldn't bother each other much *sweatdrops*. If K'mih visited me, I guess she'd be very interested in everything and that might make me distressed. I'd have to try to be as friendly and social as I can, which is really tiring, haha. -
Ah, so you don't plan to ever return to FFXIV? >_< In any case, I wish you the best of lucks. I enjoyed the scenes I played with Xydane, it's sad to know he already met his end. Clover will keep remembering him, and from time to time she'll wonder where he might be.

A travelling Tia definitely makes more sense than a Nunh, as the Nunh is supposed to fulfil a very important task within the tribe. As for the consequences about leaving, I believe that every tribe has its own rules beyond the basics. Since that's a tribe you've created, deciding how permissive they are will depend on you ^^ The K tribe I'm in seems to allow for its members to take short trips, albeit they aren't fond of people leaving for long or embracing any other sort of lifestyle. We've had members who were exiled for this reason. I personally enjoy the conflict, opposed to everyone being too permissive and everything being easy and happy, but that's my personal choice. So yes, I think you have plenty of freedom to choose your tribe's rules and do what's the most convenient for your RP. Edit: K'mih would be happy to meet more tribal miqo'tes!

Thank you for this post! I've left comments on several threads. I don't tend to post in the official forums outside of screenshot contests, but now I'm finding reasons to be more participative there *amused*. I hope SE will take some of those suggestions into consideration, they're definitely very nice things to have (especially the head turning feature, which has been in my wishlist for ages).

I posted as well to support this. Perhaps I should start becoming active in the official forums.

If it counts, I drew this very bad sketch of my lalafell Nonopi, back when she was 15. I hope to draw her properly someday...

From what I understood, the wedding had been advertised as an event where everyone was invited, friends and strangers alike. Clover was curious after seeing the announcement and decided to see what a wedding was like. She also asked her good friend Andre to come with her. I hope that works ^^

Whenever it happens, I'm not ready *nervous*.
