Some of my HW screenshots (no spoilers, unless you consider Ishgard as such *sweatdrops*). Clover Clover's wand-friend magically evolved to a snowy version! Rune ...With her childhood friend Ezen. Yura ...With her guardian Nhogai Tumet. HW has been a blast so far, except for the past three days where I've been locked out from the new content (¬o¬; (thanks, DHL).

I mostly RP in small circles, so I haven't seen Fantasia cases myself. Personally, I don't accept Fantasia as an IC item. I am also uninterested in characters who lack a well defined background/charisma and will simply change whenever a new race or class is released. I personally like a certain level of consistency in the RP, or a certain level of care from the players towards their own characters' stories, otherwise my own RP could end up being a mess. On another note, I must also add that I am interested in real Au Ra characters who share the real Au Ra culture. Simply placing a pair of horns on a random Eorzean's head isn't going to make them interesting to me, for that's not different than mere cosplay. A new race is more than looks to me; they come with a whole culture and charisma, and therefore a whole new set of possibilities. (This is, of course, just my personal opinion, as people are free to RP Fantasia and I am free to not RP it).

Oh, thank you very much! If possible, I have a small request.

For someone who wants to play a Raen from the nobility, this is a very interesting thread! My idea of her being a noble would simply be reflected in her lady-like manners, really. Unless it's private RP, I wouldn't mention much from it because, like everyone else, I have no idea of how Doma works. I haven't done the ninja quest, so thank you for the information! It's interesting to know that there are still nobles in Othard who didn't need to flee due to their homes/society being destroyed. That gives us room to create other kind of stories, and the one I had in mind didn't really have my character as a refugee.
-
Maybe opinions like mine have been stated before, as I haven't read the whole thread. In RP, I separate IC and OOC. I'm not one to make powerful main characters myself, but I'd consider it unfair if only people with a lot of free time and the will to grind their levels were allowed to RP powerful characters. Back in Aion, a person who RPed a 9 years old noble girl wanted to be more powerful than a 400 years old war veteran. The reason? That his character was max level, while the war veteran was not because his player seriously didn't have the time. The little free time he had was spent... RPing (and he was very good at it). There wasn't any good IC reason for that girl to be stronger; it was simply absurd from an IC point of view. Mixing OOC with IC can create such situations.

Could you add Rune Kahkol to Kahkol tribe? ^^
-
The Au Ra lore is completely crazy and I LOVE it. It makes me sad that we'll miss tons of those cultures because we can't play in Othard ;_; Anyway, my Xaela will be a Kahkol! Possibly an Oronir in the past. From what I see, Xaelas tend to change their tribe more or less easily.
-
Xaela tribes are very, very interesting! They did a great job with their lore.
-
This makes me very sad in the heart... Wasn't it enough that Holy already eats tons of your MP?
-
I can only ignore it if someone releases a mod to mute the main character, and if the story doesn't constantly bring the character's background up. Somehow, I have the feeling that the character is more important in this game, being voiced and having actual scenes. I'll be crossing my fingers for mods, naturally.
-
The game looks good and I was really excited about it, but... the main character has kinda broken the experience for me ;_; This is the first Bethesda game where I can't really choose who I want to be. I can't say I'm looking forward to playing a grown up woman who had a husband and a kid *sweatdrops*.

Xaela Family/Clan: Tumet - Always open!
Clover replied to Michikyou's topic in Chronicled Connections
Your Xaela is supposed to come from a tribe though, even if he left. Perhaps you could consider getting ties with a real tribe, as having a real family or real friends might give him any future plot! -
Xaela Family/Clan: Tumet - Always open!
Clover replied to Michikyou's topic in Chronicled Connections
I was wondering if anyone would do this! I can't join because my Xaela will only be participating in Spanish RP, but I'm still glad to see a real Xaela tribe. -
Au Ra, flying, Machinist, Astrologian, Ishgard, beautiful maps to explore, new glamours... EVERYTHING. The hype is too strong sfgfdgfgfhg
-
I was secretly hoping for this. It gives me time to try drawing an Au Ra fanart!

I only played 3 and every second was worth it. Some people say that New Vegas is better than 3, but I really loved 3, so I at most I imagine New Vegas to be equally awesome, haha. (Fallout 4 trailer made me very happy in the soul, it must be said).

It's open! I just created an Au Ra placeholder.

The part of the lore I desperately need is the Xaela naming conventions. Our Xaelas need to know their names already >_< PS: I enjoyed the FFXIV main quest ending, though I obviously do not imagine that my character is a part of it. In fact, I find the WoL character quite annoying; they're nothing but an overpowered puppet, two traits I'm not a fan of *laughs*.

Little Clover would be heartbroken to see that current Clover is no longer with grandpa. Other than that, she hasn't really changed. She's still the person she used to be.

Heavensward Ilevel Requirements. Strange Design Choice?
Clover replied to Xavieraux Reinardes's topic in FFXIV Discussion
Personally, if I were a new player just coming to FFXIV, everything would be new for me. Exploring Ishgard or exploring Ul'dah would be the same. Old content might be tedious for veterans, but not for a new player (?). I find it quite logical that new content is aimed at people who have already done the old content, while new players still have a lot of things to learn and explore. And still, new players are able to create Au Ras without reaching the Yugiri part, so not everything is locked. Also, if I were eager to explore Ishgard or get any of the new clases, that'd be my goal. Aren't MMORPGs about goals? It can't be helped that FFXIV's story happens to be important, and thus there's no other way to do this than to reach that point of the story. It's like a game releasing a DLC that continues the main story after it ended. Just beat the game, then play the DLC; I personally don't find it a big deal. -
It's simple to me. In my personal RPs, of others aren't motivated, then I simply don't want to RP with them. I'd only be carrying them like dead weights, which is not only draining but it also takes us nowhere. Others must find their own inspiration; it's fruitless if anyone else tries to inject it into them. That's not how inspiration works. Likewise, if I'm not truly inspired about something, I'll let everyone know. For example, it's not a secret that the FFXIV RP has never been a big thing for me, unlike my RP from games I don't even play. I have a Spanish friend who joined FFXIV and hoped to create a huge story with me; from the very first day I warned her that the FFXIV lore doesn't really inspire me, but she ignored my warning and tried her best to inject her inspiration into me. It never worked the way she hoped, so she only got frustrated in the end.

What? I pronounce the former too... It's ラノシア in Japanese, so the former seems the correct pronunciation (unless I'm simply mistaking what "La-No-See-Ah" is supposed to sound like. As I said, I don't really know about English sounds).
-
K'mih is pronounced like Japanese Kumi (like Koda Kumi). I don't know much about English, but I think English speakers write that sound as "coo"? That's how Japanese people said that K was pronounced for miqo'te tribes, so yes. Mih is just a normal English "me". (I don't really know much about English pronunciation. Both in Spanish and Japanese, things simply sound as you write them, so merely writing Kumi is crystal clear to me).

Clover is prepared. My first Au Ra placeholder is still leveling to 50, and my second Au Ra placeholder is still lv 1. My plan is to get both ready before Heavensward, which means I have less than a month to do all that. Must work hard! (In case I can't do it on time... Clover is prepared, at least *laughs*).

[EU] The first great Eorzean Wine and Dine Festival!
Clover replied to Tali's topic in Chronicled Events
That was a lot of fun!! I want to thank everyone who made it possible. Here are a bunch of screens (I tried to take many so that everyone could appear in them). Extra. Poor Lulani got accidentally drunk (x_x)
