  1. A mini scene at Clover's home. CLOVER: F'yue... You mustn't climb the kitchen shelves. F'YUE: Why not? I can get a nice view of what you're cooking from here! CLOVER: *Sighs*
  2. "Oh, is that so?" K'mih's smile lingered, unchanging, soft enough not to make her inner relief visible. She'd heard what she needed; now she could focus on her task as a huntress, whenever she remembered where she dropped her axe for the ritual. "Li, do your best," she smiled to the half stranger warmly, having accepted him from the beginning. He'd been a good and helpful miqo'te so far, K'mih had no reasons to mistrust him. "I'll be joining the hunt now, we'll meet again afterwards." With a playful wave of her hand, K'mih departed from the males. Her chest still felt tight and she couldn't even tell why. Maybe it'd been the unprepared dancing, or the fire, or K'nahli or the Nunh or this strange land. Maybe she just needed to find her sister and talk to her, and the pressure would be gone with a smile.
  3. As K'ile spoke, K'mih's smile displayed more shyness than excitement. For some reason, her uncle didn't look like the same person he was the previous sun. He felt a bit closer, a bit warmer. He was no longer just the uncle who spoke venom of her father and warned her of the tribe laws-- laws, there were many laws; he knew them all. Now K'ile was someone she'd start sharing something other than blood with, meeting him every morning while everyone else's eyes were closed. 'K'ile will never be Nunh', she told herself, and that alone helped her to keep smiling. With a Tia, she could dance. So she nodded emphatically, her attitude in the right place, where her mind was not. "Thank you, uncle!" That was all she could say before Li gathered the man's attention, filling K'mih's eyes with innocent curiosity. They had work to do together, so K'ile said. She did too, actually; the hunt had started, hadn't it? The huntresses were leaving the camp and so should she. However, the plots K'ile had been weaving in the shadow against the Nunh had made K'mih more nervous than what she should, thus she couldn't help an apparently innocent and curious smile, followed by an equal question. "...Work?"
  4. I'm very happy that Clover got her house ;w; This has been the best update for me.
  5. My new character! Finally, the day I could join the lalafell ranks has arrived (I've been waiting for this hairstyle in order to make one). The new dress is very nice.
  6. The dance was over, it died with the flame of the staff. K'mih left the spotlight as soon as she could, albeit it weren't her insecurities pushing her away; she felt strangely fine, in fact, like floating on any sort of cloud. Performing had been scary at first, but that uncomfortable feeling didn't linger for too long. Starting was the hardest part, the rest flowed on its own. Now she was just eager to hear the words of the one whom had placed so much trust on her. "Uncle!" She called as she approached K'ile, her smile innocent, her eyes full of shy excitement. It was the expression of someone who wasn't really expecting a bad answer. "D-did I do it well?" [...] Among the shadows projected by all the huntresses around the fire, a silent Tia did nothing but watch. K'mih Yohko, the closest person to K'nahli Yohko... She really was nothing like her elder sister, not even with the flames reflected in her eyes. After the traditional ritual, his own eyelids stretched slightly, his grip on his lance tightening. The hunt was starting; he could almost smell his prey. The path to Nunh might as well begin that night.
  7. Thank you for the link. The time bubble is what I've been assuming too, as time obviously doesn't work the same for every character. Some people like to imagine that their characters have aged, others don't. My characters could happily be stuck in a single scene for weeks, so it's not that a day irl equals to a day in Eorzea. The flow of time is a personal choice, thus it shouldn't be imposed; in order for it to work with everyone, I believe it simply shouldn't be mentioned.
  8. That's a very interesting information, thank you for sharing! I'm glad that they're revealing more bits from the lore.
  9. I have mixed feelings about this. I do think new levels are a good way to ensure that we explore every inch of the map, all while doing quests for levelling. I like that. However, couldn't they have raised the cap when they're not adding several new jobs and a new race as well? ^o^; Now I'll feel the urge to level my main and explore the new maps, but at the same time I'll be dying to test the new race and/or the new jobs. So yes, we can't have everything at the same time, I guess *falls*.
  10. gloW53jUBjY Edit: I know someone who has been RPing a miqo'te who has been trying hard to become a Dragoon, from the moment FFXIV ARR was released. He's going to die when he sees this trailer, and perhaps it might be ICly possible for his character to finally fulfill his dream and become a Dragoon! Since the main FFXIV character is supposed to be a stranger there, and yet he could become one.
  11. Clover is ready for All Saints' Wake. K'mih thinks she's ready too.
  12. I was trying to play FLs when they suddenly aired the trailer that right moment, and I'm very sorry about my FL mates because I think my eyes couldn't look back. No words for the hype. No words. New level cap makes me nervous though *laughs*. But yes, my FFXIV life is a very happy life right now.
  13. I have a tumblr for all my characters, mainly Clover. http://clovermemories.tumblr.com/ I don't post RP scenes, though (?).
  14. Her heart could have stopped at that moment, but it didn't. It pounded furiously against her chest, blurring her vision for a few seconds. It was alright, her mind tried to tell her; it should be easy, she just needed to move the fire, to make it glow against the wind. Their gazes would be on the flames, not on her. K'mih tightened her grip on the staff and frowned slightly. Her eyes travelled to K'ile one last time, only to give him a nod. Then, to the indicated spot. She walked, not too fast and neither too slow. Around her, a collection of familiar eyes seemed to have been placed on her figure, waiting, expecting something for the first time. It was odd, but none of them looked as familiar now. Time was scarce then. K'mih searched for her mother first, then K'nahli, albeit her gaze hardly lingered there for a full second. She shouldn't look at her sister at that moment, it'd only destroy her. A deep and brief inhalation made her lips part, and the unprepared dance started with the rhythm of the drums. The young miqo'te danced for the first time, played with the fire like it was an enemy. She was fragile against the flames, against her own thoughts. Her father was watching her, she could feel it; yet, another miqo'te might be his choice that night. Did she even know about the things that happened in the darkness of closed tents? Did she even want to? As the drums echoed inside her chest, K'mih's dancing raised. It was imprecise, inexperienced, lingering between delicate and raw. And as her gaze finally found the figure of her father, she felt naked in front of everyone. 'Please choose me...' her eyes seemed to beg, even if she didn't know everything her own infantile desires might entail. 'Please choose me just once...'
  15. Cousin love is nice. If only Andre didn't do that to everyone.
  16. Cinnamon and Clover >////< On a real romantic side, albeit completely platonic: K'rahto and K'nahli. K'mih and K'yohko Nunh.
  17. Not using it. Fun as it looks, I'd never use any of my characters for such a thing OOCly, and it's more than obvious that it won't happen to them ICly either. I'll be happy to see other people enjoying the system, though!
  18. Nervous and embarrassed, K'mih accepted the flaming staff from K'ile's hand. She held it carefully, clearly wary of the flames. How could she dance with them when she feared them so much? "I'm sorry, I'll do my best..." she said, as determined as she could sound. The only time K'mih ever had some sort of real responsibility over her shoulders, it'd been during her adulthood trial. Even that task couldn't compare to this, for the trial was something she had to do for herself, while this... this, she had to do for her whole family, both alive and dead. Failure wasn't an option now. Her eyes fixed themselves on the Tia once more, as fragile as they were focused. When the melody of the elder's words reached her ears, K'mih fought the urge to lower her gaze. The weight of responsibility felt too heavy; as a firedancer... as a female.
  19. Haha, even I have dealt with this kind of problem. The case I have in mind was about a girl (not from this community) who was very defensive/possessive about her boyfriend's character. She hated other female RPers whose characters might be friends with her boyfriend's character (not even in a romantic level, just good friends). None of my characters was close to his, but this girl also seemed to take it personally when one of them lost respect for him ICly Luckily for me, I haven't encountered this kind of case often.
  20. K'mih's eyes fell on the small wooden staff that K'ile placed on her palm. She looked at his hand as his fingers touched hers briefly; bigger, stronger than hers. The hands of a male, one who could become her Nunh someday. The girl tensed slightly more at the mere thought. Looking at her uncle had become difficult, but she managed to raise her eyes and try to observe his movements. The ritual was important. She needed to empty her mind of anything else for now. With a more focused albeit not any less nervous gaze, K'mih paid attention to what K'ile did. Then, she tried to imitate the same gesture. Not even knowing what would happen could prepare her for the shock of the sudden fire. "Ah!" When her stick ignited magically, her first and unavoidable impulse was to throw it out of fear. It only took her half a second to realize her own failure, but it was too late already; the fire staff was in the air, about to fall down onto the not so dry terrain.
  21. I'd draw more often, I guess... It'd be quite a sad life, if you ask me.
  22. Standing among all the huntresses, K'mih's head had risen to look at the elder as this one spoke. She heard the words and watched the fire, but her mind was with neither of them. Troubled thoughts were reflected in her eyes as they burnt with the reflection of the flames, until the brief touch of a hand over her shoulder put an end to her trance. She blinked. Before she could even turn to see who was trying to catch her attention, a male voice rang close to her ears. She didn't know if the shiver that ran down her spine was due to the proximity or the reminder that she was the firedancer. Slowly, she finally turned to look at the Tia, all doubts and worries and submissive silence in her lowered head. Her eyes, however, looked at him as she followed. It wasn't a moment to think about K'nahli. She needed to stop wondering. [...] Armed with his spear, K'rahto's serious and focused gaze remained glued to the fire. His eyes only danced briefly to the side, to a far away figure he could still recognize among thousands. K'nahli's position was never unknown to him, even when he feigned not to pay attention. He'd be a hunter today, he'd try to be the best. But today, too, he'd continue being a Tia.
  23. Really good screen! I love how FFXIV character can display real emotion towards other characters. You did a beautiful work here. Some screens from the scene I RPed with Luc and Andre.
  24. Comments like this suggest that you, too, haven't understood a thing the other side is trying to say, or aren't aware of how all the negativity your side is throwing looks from a different point of view ^^; Anyway, so the problem is that Yoshida said was that personal houses would be in a different map than FC houses, but right now they are together. I don't think that sharing a map with FCs is going to make personal houses any less awesome or different, neither is it going to make the neighbourhood any less beautiful. If prices are the problem, prices are going down and will be half of what they currently are in a month. I believe that buying a small house for 2million doesn't sound too bad for someone who has actually tried to save up. It just requires some effort, as does farming for equip. As for the limited number of small houses, remember they're working on it. What I mean with all this is... this is not about worshipping Yoshida; it's about seeing a huge drama blown out of proportion, all because of problems that are only half truths. What's more, some people are offended that some of us don't see a problem with the arrival of personal houses (if anything, I'm thankful, mind you). In the end, this whole drama is getting annoying for all sides.
  25. I have to agree with most of the things K'nahli said. The way people are handling this matter is sounding kinda malicious and out of proportion, as they seem to be doing efforts to *try* to discredit SE. This is reinforced when I even see people who no longer play FFXIV (because they don't like it), complaining that they can't have a house now. This is what I see when I look at the situation: -Yoshida said we'd get personal houses. We did. -He said he'd add more. 2.4 will deliver more. -Kage pointed out that Yoshida's working on finding the way to add as many houses as possible, which means he's aware of the demand. -Prices are also going down, so they shouldn't be a problem in the future. Now, I'm genuinely lost here, so please excuse the obscene amount of questions. Where did he lie? Did he simply not meet the personal expectations some people created on their own? Is it about people wanting brand new maps and getting the old ones instead? How is that even a big deal if we can still have houses in such beautiful neighbourhoods? Where did he even promise that such a thing would be definitely delivered? In case he did, who says we aren't getting that in the future, considering that the housing system isn't half done yet? Or is this about the *current* lack of wards, completely ignoring the fact we'll get more and that they're working on ways to add even more? I'm genuinely lost as to where all this strong anger and complete lack of hope is coming from. What's more, in case Yoshida limits himself to simply add thousands of new houses and there are *still* players who can't get them, this is still how most MMORPGs with housing system work. Aion has limited space. Archeage has limited space. Black Desert has had limited space so far. The other games I've played don't even have house system. I don't know how Wildstar works, but if houses are completely instanced, then I personally wouldn't like them (and if they're not, the few screenshots I've seen weren't of my liking either). So it always will come down to personal preference. People who are feeling strongly against the current system, even when they're told that the currenty system isn't final, are free to leave. I personally will be enoying my house when it's released, and I have no reasons to think it won't be @_@
