Personally, I'm sticking to keyboard alone, it works like a charm. the only trick is to get to used to how the Tab cycle targetting works. If you want to move while navigating menu, just autorun (that's R once you started moving). I used a xbox controller in CO because you can't beat two joysticks for air maneuverability and the action style of the game just lend itself very well to controller use in combat. It doesn't seem to be the case for FF XIv from what you said (I haven't tried, myself) and we don't seem to be able to fly, either. If you really want to use the controller for FF XIV, I'd say check if you can set up your buttons like they were set up in CO so that you can indeed just push one (or hold one and push another) to activate abilities on your action bar. If you can't do that, I'd say get used to the keyboard. ^^

According to some shellies (that's like guildies, right? for linkshelles?), yes! You can take a boat from Ul'dah then run the rest of the way to Limsa and I think for Gridanaia, it's mostly on foot? Or something? Anyways, you can. And unless you forget to visit the Aetheryte you only need to do it once, too. My turn! Can we create additional Tabs in our chat window and if so, how? Hey, speaking of puns, am I pronouncing Beseid right if I pronounce it like Beside? If so I could say that it's no use complaining now cause it's done and, Beseid, it's not like some sort of crazy RP-haters were heading there.

So it seems that after going with servers with city names from FF 1 to 10 they added names from other FF's then went back to FF1. The next 5 they add will be FF 2 to 6, then. Simple pattern, they won't run out of names quickly that way. Now if you will allow me, I will put my usual nice and polite personality aside a moment. SCREW Re-votes! Just deal with the result! Seriously the only justification for a re-vote would be if Besaid was locked and full before the RPc members could all get in and it caused issues with LS and stuff. -That - would be worth a re-vote, because it would mean a failure of the RPC to pick a RP server. But even then, even if the worse should happen, I would strongly advise -against- a re-vote. It should be a simple matter of picking whatever server had a low enough population to allow for all to fit in. That, however, is my opinion. The part where I'm not nice and not polite however, I'm pretty sure is the opinion of the majority, correct me if I'm wrong.

Lolvotedrama! Personally, I think a beach is cool. I voted Mysidia cause FF IV was my favorite, then switched to Istory cause it was a funny pun and there was no way at this point my vote would matter cause it was all between Lindblum and Besaid, then I switched to Kashuan at the last moment because I made a pun about cashews on another thread. I'm VERY happy with Besaid however, even if I hated FF X (didn't quite hate it as much as I found it completely uninteresting), because there doesn't seem to be any other huge groups planning to go there, last we heard. As much as I love the name and the game where Mysidia is concerned, it would have been awful for us, considering how many (and what kind) groups were planning to go there. the only thing I can add is that if there had been either a Costa Del Sol or a Black Mage village server, I would've been all over them.

Yay monopolizing the market! I wouldn't worry about server stagnation, though. At least not as much as server overflow. It's easier to just watch people roll on the low-pop not-queues-ever server than to figure out wtf to do when the server gets locked and tons of RPers aren't even in yet. Also, did I ever mention how much I love that server pop is represented by chocobos? :chocobo:

I don't really know either, all I've seen in-game so far are those funny Hamburglar masks some NPC's wear in Limsa and those wooden mask that Carpenters can craft. So... something along those lines. ^^
