Well I already told her in PM, but I'm gonna say it here too.. I loooooove the pic! Also... Avatar is now colored! Thanks! <3 And... as bad ass and heroic as she is, she still looks cute, I think! She also looks flat-chested but I'm not gonna complain about that one thing when everything else is looking awesome. ^^;

Not a whole lot of interesting content in this one, I must say... but the whole point about encouraging us to set out on adventures by ourselves might be related to the somewhat limited amount of hard-coded quests there seems to be. While there is a storyline, I feel there's also a part of sandboxyness in this game. Sandboxyness: Related to a sandbox type of game. ^^

Tricorns win, because pirates wear them.

It being cross-platform is why XBox isn't getting it, I believe. Anyways, I'm not in your boat, but I wish you clear waters and much wind, or something. ^^

@ Zyrusticaie You say people have been less than courteous. You also have been less than courteous, but seem to find it excusable because those who are honestly trying to help are not giving you "real" answers. You seem to believe it's your right to "shut them down" for that reason. Well it's not. How is anyone suppose to assume the sum of your crafting knowledge if all you do is describe an unsuccessful experience? This lead people to believe you need help. If you had wanted to lay a trap for people who know less than you to try and help out just so you could show them better, you probably couldn't have done it better than that. I'm sure it wasn't your intention, but think about it. It would be nice if people would assume that others have the best intentions and react accordingly, instead of always assuming the worst. And that,s not me returning your own phrase in your face, this is something I ALWAYS end up saying because it seems that people never learn that the internet would be so much more peaceful if people just stopped assuming the worse. Just so you know, I re-wrote this 3 times in an attempt at taking sarcasm out of my post, because I'm not normally a sarcastic person. Only when I' get mad. I believe I was successful, but I could be wrong so just, in case.. No sarcasm meant, here. @Vond I'm not entirely sure what Facilities do, but what I do know is that some recipes have a minimum level. I believe that minimum level only means you can attempt it, but your chances are probably extremely low. I'd suggest trying to get your rank up a bit before trying the crafting again. I dunno what logic is used in these Crafting things, but it seems many things which we would perceive as basic are somewhat hard to do in the game. Like planks out of logs and nuggets out of ore.

Well, sorry to see you go! As I've been saying though, if you don't enjoy it, not playing it is the right decision! forcing it upon yourself would be the worst move ever. Have fun whatever you play! Cause playing is meant to be fun.

And your question-asking is completely ruined by your apparent determination in bashing every answer given to you, and you have been doing this from the start, which I guess explains Tadir's tone in his latest post. Not that I said "explain" not "excuse". Now I am no Moderator, but I ask you anyway. please, either be willing to see each others good will, or take it to PM's.

Bleh, the RP Bars Progression myth rears its ugly head again... A shame there's no PvP in FF XIV, or I'd race to demonstrate how wrong that idea is. Unfortunately, RPer or not, I was never too hardcore on PvE progression, personally. Sorry you won't be coming along, Zane. @Sky Amen Any "friend" who tells me how I should play or with who I can play with is no friend at all, because friends respect each other, and that includes each other's preferences and choices. And if they're not friends, well.. you know.. why would they even matter?

Heroes die so that others may live, but it would be great if the whole sacrifice thing didn't always involve death. If this guy believed in Heaven, he's clearly gone straight up there on a red carpet with confetti.

Laguna and irvine were about the only things that made FF VIII bearable to me. But yeah... while I greatly enjoy FF IX, Zidane is a friggin supersayan and so is Kuja. Srsly. >.>

Z! That's the key! I don't know how I forgot that! Must be because I had stopped playing with the DoM's at the time. >.>

They said they would wait before implementing an AH. Also, once and for all, this game is not your usual sit-and-wait-for-the-goodies mmo, we have to earn things, and lots of us like it that way. We also have to keep in mind that this is not a grind-to-cap-ASAP-and-raid type of game. the way SE made it, we are meant to take our time and enjoy every aspect of the game. Leveling 3 crafting classes for example seems like horrible work, but if you do it over a year or two, it would be a piece of cake. Not only that, but the way the economy is made to work, players are encouraged to trade with each other. You don't -have- to level Alchemy, you just have to have an Alchemist friend or acquaintance to trade with. I don't think, even in the long term, what they mean for us to do everything by ourselves, even if it certainly is possible, with time. More than any other mmo I played, FF XIV is a social game, a community game. Yet so many people seem to think only in terms of 1st person. It kinda baffles me.

FF VIII didn't feel much like a FF to me either but that's because I started with the very first. Things change and it had changed too much for me to enjoy. Others can take more change and appreciate it, and other ssimply started later with the serie. It's only a matter of letting go.

Now I know why you have a Kefka laughing maniacally down there in your sig... he represents your sanity!

Zyrusticae, shards don't come exclusively from mobs, you also pick them up from gathering. As for the inhumanly hard crafting, there's a trick. We, the players, are meant to discover these things by ourselves but luckily for you, while many have tentatively succeeded in making things work without really knowing how, there's this one guy who figured out The Secret Of Succesful Crafting! Ta daaaaaa! http://www.ffxivcore.com/topic/12420-try-this-my-theory-of-blacksmithing/

This isn't about the vote, this is about new servers and what you said has been said a dozen times already. You kinda just beat a dead horse by attempting to beat people that you thought were beating it, or something. o_O
-
Then there are conflicting recipes already. o_O I've seen it listed as requiring Crystals. Either way, the thread I made back then that you linked to could have simply been bumped, the databases are already linked in a sticky post and, all in all, I've seen very very little interest in crafting threads so far around here, which surprises me.
-
I didn't forget anything at all. I simply meant to say that people will always make mistakes, no matter in what environment there are. It's not a matter of escape or anything. Those are influencing factors but ultimately not the core of the issue. After ShatteredSoldier's 2nd post, I understand his position better, avoiding RP Relationship because he perceives them to be the most potentially influential negative factor sure makes sense.
-
Why multiply the threads about the same topic? Also, you need Crystals, what you likely have is Shards, a lesser form of Crystals, that's why it's not working.

I guess distance does make it different from meeting in RL... *gives sake* Sorry, don't have wine. This is good stuff, though!

Some Silver Anvil folks seem to be interested (myself included) for obvious marketing reasons. Or something. ^^

You know, to take your story into perspective, it would have been the exact same thing if those two people had been going out in bars without their husband/wife, met their regularly, and started a relationship. It's only the medium that is different. RP Relationship gets the blame because that's how it happened, but it could have happened in a bar, a gym, a bowling club, at work, anywhere. In truth, the fact that it happened through a RP thing has absolutely nothing to do with how it turned out for those two in RL. They weren't happy with their couples, met someone they liked more and, voila. Life happens.
