  1. No no, I'm not saying you made statements as to the tendencies of personalities of RPers.. I'm saying you did so for -other- people. Namely, 4channers, 3rd paragraph (can you believe I had to go back like 4-5 pages to find that? ). You defined their personality types from them being 4channers yet you do not define yourself (or any of us) from being RPers. That's the part I have trouble with.
  2. Ohhh so pretty! I really like this last one of Ami Faye! You don't suppose I could ask for one of my masked heroine lancer-cat, do you? ^^;
  3. Welcome to the Kashuan Nut Store! I'm Asyria, your cashew!
  4. @ Verence Pretty interesting views in there. I will say two things. While it may sound like "it's not me, it's him!" argument, I must say that I only started having this us vs them view when I started experiencing major griefing as a RPer. Before that, I was just a normal person who enjoyed spicing up my gaming with some RP. Likewise, I support this whole "RP pride" thing (don't like the name either) only in the sense that people here seem worried about griefers and jerks and that when confronted by those people, we should stand tall and strong. I do NOT advise or support this attitude in general. I simply find it a more efficient defensive mechanism than to hide in a corner rant about them. The other thing I'd like to say is that you seem to make plenty of generalizations, saying that the kind of people who go there and like this and like that, but at the same time you refuse to define yourself by what you do. Why then, define others by what they do? Kind of a contradiction there that makes me hesitant to agree with your otherwise valid points. @ Soren Miren Funny how those are the cities from some of the most popular games. I wouldn't expect anyone to pick the cities of FF II, III, or V as they weren't originally released outside of Japan (or at least not in the US).
  5. That's true and it makes sense but it would defeat the purpose of voting. Since the community's choice was to vote, we have to go through with the vote, and accept the result. All we can do is vote for what you believe is the best option and hope for the best. ^^
  6. No one is talking about a revote at this time, just about being able to change our mind on this present vote. ^^
  7. It would make sense in a way but it has to be the least popular for other people, not for us. Also, oh great forum god, how do I change my vote if I want to? Cause I went there and all I see is the results so far with my choice in white, while the rest is grey, as it's been before. Also, I can be sacrificed if you promise it won't hurt and I can have an Angel Ring equipped (it has Reraise on it... not ReNaise! ReRaise!).
  8. I miss those Lemmings game! They were awesome.
  9. You forgot about that Star Wars mmo! Which I understand even quite a number of RPC folks are looking forward to. o_O
  10. Funny how more people are agreeing with what some of us said from the start about voting being a bad idea. Dooooooooooooooooooom! Anyways. Lindblum's in the lead, there doesn't seem to be any huge server-filling groups going there so far... All's well. My only hope is we don't need an overflow server. Frankly, I'm against the idea of having an overflow server. If we end up needing one, we need to reevaluate our options, I think. The goal of the RPC is to unite RPers, I'm sure it can be done without splitting them (us). But that's just me thinking about the worse. Let's not do that. Let's think about the best. That is, us making our immovable home on whichever server wins and RPing happily ever after.
  11. Oh well, sucks for Mysidia, then.. We don't want a full server to start on! Go Lindblum! Funny fact: I been playing FF IX again, after downloading it on my ps3 and just got out of Lindblum after the Festival of the Hunt.
  12. *raises glass of chocolate milk... then gulps it down quickly*
  13. You mean, beside Blank, Steiner, and most girls?
  14. Keepers are more magic? D'oh! >.
  15. No, it's not 'gm'... Rhio put a finger right on it (hopefully not in it).
  16. Well if you mean in summonable form, then yes FF8 is the first, without a doubt.
  17. If airships win, as I've seen someone mention, Mysidia should get more vote. They had the Lunar Whale! the airship that carries its own Fat Chocobo and could go to the Moon! Go Mysidia! I have to admit though, Lindblum as Oglop-Cid so I wouldn't complain... To go back on what Siben said though... You're the one who started the thread with what groups are going where so don't be surprised if people react to that. On the other hand, I entirely agree with what you said . Whatever server we pick, we RULE it. We're not going over there, to carefully watch the potential griefers and elitists from behind a rock... we're going there to CONQUER in the name of RP. We just need to conquer nicely and in a friendly manner. With a bouquet of flower in our hands. And an army of heavily armed RPers at our backs (in case they dare dislike the flowers). Renaise, I could be wrong, but I think Diabolos in FF8 dates all the way back from FF as Chaos... also found in FFVII as Chaos, as Vincent's last Limit Break form.
  18. Because the RPC's official standpoint is to be nice with our neighbors?
  19. it's very likely that there will be a big community on every server with a nice name. Namely, those that have a significant amount of votes here so far. It,s simply unavoidable. The thing I am concerned with is... if we DO need an overflow server... it will seriously suck for those people who end up being overflowed. I mean, really.. what happens if all of our highest voted servers are high pop? I think that picking a low-pop server is more important than voting, but too late for that. I can only cross my fingers.
  20. I will say one thing: If they put Black Mage Village, I would be voting for that. ^^
  21. And here's to confirm my little theory. ^^
