I also have a Goon friend who I've been RPing with for many many years. Avoiding their server is pretty pointless since, with all the publicity we got, they are the ones who will roll on ours, obviously. As for how they'd grief people in a non-PvP game... they'll just use their free month running around and spam-emoting. It's all they -can- do and it's so easy to ignore. Also that Judge-thing lokos awesome, but I don,t know anything about Judges! My only Ivalice experience is with Tactics as well. I kinda hated the FF XII system. ^^; XIV is gonna be the first I play since IX (I tried X, didn't like it).

Wouldn't worry about the Goons at all. FF XIV REALLY isn't their kind of game. I've seen them playing funny-looking zergling-esque characters they called Goonlings in champions Online but even that didn't last long. If they play FF XIV, they'll probly all roll Midgets or catgirls, play their free month, and move on to something else. Besides, there actually are RPers among them. They just won't RP in front of their Goon buddies.

Also the whole reserving name thing is probably the most silly concern we could have in the whole server issue. Because we have First Name AND Last Name. Only if the two are exactly the same will the name be unavailable. the chances it would happen are extremely low.

Well... Miqo'te legs are -made- for umping and running, it says so in the description. The way she jumps in the vid was nice, though. All acrobatic and made it look easy. However, I'm pretty sure jumping in game will remain impossible, even though it would be awesome to add jumping and falling damage (damn cliffs!). But, you know, there's more awesome stuff in there than I ever seen before in a mmo so... yeah. I'm not going to actually ask or wish for it.

Between Limsa and Bearded Rock, there's a cave leading to a beach from where you have a pretty nice view of Limsa. There's also quite a few dead ends in Limsa where the view is great and there's no one around.

Okay okay... last one! I hope. I just went there anc clicked Refresh a few times for fun and giggles and I simply couldn't resist doing this one. Your challenge is to write crossover fanfiction combining Hellsing and the Muppet Show. The story should use hypnosis as a plot device! It was a dark night and the moon was full, shining through the mist in the streets and alleys of London. A perfect night for Halloween, but also a perfect night for hunting.The Hellsing organization's pet vampire Alucard was out to get a freak who was preying on children . As the freak has targeted mostly goths, it is a concern that he would go after kids dressed as vampire and this could not be allowed. Unaware of the dangers, a group of friends stopped in a parc to decide whether to go back home or continue their run, as it was getting late. Among them was a frog disguised as a pirate, a rather energetic guy disguised as a ghost with a blanket with holes for his eye, and a blue eagle dressed as count Dracula, who seemed more intent on going back home, and a few other weirdos. "The hour grows late, it would be wise to head back." said the blue guy. To which the frog replied "Let's see how much candies we have so far?" "CANDIES!" bellowed the ghost happily. As the friends were making their count, a shiver ran down their spines as a strange man showed up, grinning madly in the night. His gaze was met by the brave blue eagle, the one dressed as Dracula as he defiantly put himself between his friends and the newcomer who looked rather... dangerous. "May we help you in any way?" The man simply gazed into his eyes and soon, the eagle was just staring blankly at him, until the man finally talked. "You want to be a vampire, you poser? Then go ahead and bite your friends, empty them of their blood and sate yourself." The frog looked pretty worried hearing that, unsurprisingly. "Uhm.. Sam? Sam, are you alright?" The eagle named Sam slowly turned toward the frog and raised his hands. "Bloooood!" "AAAHHHHH! He's become a vampire!" The frog started running around in circle, followed by his friends, some of whom were really scared while others simply seemed to follow because it seemed like the thing to do. The hypnotised Sam of course went after them, and all were running around in circle. At this point, another weird man walked calmly toward them dressed in red, his eyes hidden between round goggles. "You dare speak of insults and call yourself a vampire... You are nothing but a delusional freak who prey on the weak. Come find out what a true vampire is made of so I can send your impure soul into the deepest pits of hell." It was all over very quick. The 'freak' attacked, and the vampire punched his open hand right through the guy's chest, turning him to dust in an instant. "Bah, no need to waste bullets on you... That you could even hypnotize anyone is a real joke, that guy must be a real puppet. It should wear off soon anyway..." And without further word or action, the vampire Alucard disappeared into the night, his job done. Higher up,a pair of old geezers had watched the scene from their apartment balcony. "Well I don't know the difference between a real and a false vampire but I know how vampires and this story are alike!" "They both suck!" And the two geezers laughed together. FIN

It does? I know some do have text, I haven't really looked for all of them as I was in a spammy area and mostly looked at the character.

Hmmm I'm pretty sure I saw "malm" at some point, could've been a bug, but I know I saw it. Maybe it was a NPC talking too. Hmm...

Malms and Yalms are how the game tells you how close or far gathering nodes are when you use the appropriate skill to find them so it's pretty official, yes. ^^

That's pretty much how I feel every time I hear negative rumors. I'm amazed that people still don't know the difference between Experience Points, with which your Physical Level goes up, and Skill Points, with which your Class Rank goes up.... It's easy. Xp = Level. Sp = Rank. Basically what this means is your gonna Physically Level slower the more you play. You CAN still play just one class as this is about XP not SP. What this means is that people can't reach the level cap in a matter of days and that those people who do nothing but level like crazy will... not level like crazy.

It's pretty normal that card gets hot, that's why there is a fan in the first place. It's also normal that the fan is loud-ish but it's definitely NOT normal that it would be load enough for neighbors to hear it. o_O I'm gonna go ahead and vote for faulty fan. I will also express that I'm so happy with my heatsink-equipped card, it's so... quiet. But then it's not exactly the best card around. ^^;

Lancer and Archer guild are in Gridania.... does that mean they're not in Limsa?

I think using Eorzean terminology would allow for more immersion but the days simply go WAY too fast to use the actual Eorzean time with any sort of accuracy. So I'd say like. "see you in 3 bells" and it would mean 3 real time hours, for example.
