  1. K'ailia smiled, and then looked at K'ile, "K'nahli makes a good point. We are all family. We should treat each other as such." K'ailia stood and turned to the elders, "I jes got one question. What have outsiders done ta us in the past, that warrants such distrust? No one is sayin' we live under them. In fact, mister Ventus is merely sayin' here's some land, get back on yer feet an look for a new place ta call home." K'ailia walked about the fire for a brief moment before pausing to smile, "Maybe if we understood the outsiders a bit more, we'd be able ta figure out a direction. We are not the only ones who have suffered. Other's have suffered worse." She turned to the elders then, "I met another K tribe member. She is not o' our branch. Her branch was wiped out by the Amalj'aa. What's more, the Garlean Empire has begun a new invasion. So we have on our right, the Amalj'aa who would give us ta their primal god ta temper an' destroy us, an' on our left, the Garleans, who would enslave us. But right in front o' us, an outsider offerin' us succor from starvation an' a chance ta use his lands as a temporary refuge while we find a new home ta better us." She turned to the rest of the tribe, "Everyone likes ta believe Azeyma would test us, ta see if we will stay put till the prey we hunt grows in population once again. But... the opposite could be true. Azeyma could also be sayin' it is time we followed our ancestors who left their original homeland long ago an' settled here in Sagolii. We've hunted here fer generations. We've suffered the calamity tagether, an lost many o' our family. Some ta death. Some who... disappeared" K'ailia sighed, remembering her teacher K'piru and how sad she became when her daughters and mate said to of been killed, "Fire goes where the wind blows it. We are the children o' Azeyma, her fiery will guides us. But over time, we have trapped ourselves in a circle o' rocks, an' believed the wood within the circle will nurture us for all time." She looked about her brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, father... mother... elders, "Now, the wood is nearly gone, our flames are dimmin'. Winds o' change blow, urgin' us ta go where more food is. I think it best ta stop resistin' the wind an see where it takes us. Jes like our ancestors once did. Change is never easy. But change be part o' the world. Everythin' must change over time, an' things that don't change, become lost ta history." From a fold in her pocket she pulled out a shining white crystal that glowed brightly, "Ta the north, I found a temple that enshrined Azeyma. An' with Garden's help, explored it an' found this crystal. The temple was very grand, an' amazin' ta behold... but as times changed, the temple sank under the sands. For it had not changed an' the sands consumed it." Taking her eyes from the crystal she looked back to the elders, "We are a strong people. We are a proud people. But there comes a time when we must swallow our pride fer the best interest o' our people. I've made my case I think. I now leave the decision ta the elders. The elders are wise, they know our history. I'd do anythin' fer this tribe, fer me family." K'ailia smiled and looked back at K'ile, "Yes, even fer ones who have insulted me, fer ya are part o' me family too K'ile." With that, K'ailia took her seat. She would say no more. To her, the decision now rests with the elders.
  2. K'ailia arrived just as K'yohko did his address. She smiled and approached the flames once more, "I agree with father. In fact, since I been travelin' all around Thanalan. I am willin' ta join the scoutin' parties ta show them spots I had seen in me travels." K'ailia smiled and walked towards where she had sat earlier, "I want folks ta know. I am loyal ta this tribe. Yes I aint been in camp fer a while. But everythin' I do, I do fer the tribe." With that, she took her seat and continued to listen.
  3. K'ailia smiled at her mother, listening to her words. After hearing the request and question she rubbed her chin thinking on them a moment, "Well... I can easily introduce ya' ta Ventus. I have a linkpearl an' can call him ta the U Tribe village." She motioned to the new necklace about her neck that looked to of been hand made. On the end... a glowing pearl with... teeth marks? "As for your second question, it's not that I value my freedom over my family. Yeah it's a nice sensation. But I still love my family more. That's why I've spent so much time away. I want ta learn as much as I can ta teach the tribe. But most importantly, I'd love for the tribe to see more o' Eorzea besides jes sand. I want us, as a family ta survive with plenty o' food and not wastin' away into nothingness." She smiled, "If ya got ideas Ma, why not share em? Ya' been workin' super hard, an' I had ta tend ta ya' when ya collapsed. I dun want that ta happen ever again. I want ya' ta be comfortable an' happy. I want ta keep ya' in me life as long as I can." With that she started proceeding back towards the meeting, "But if ya' want ta meet Ventus, I can ask the elder if it be alright ta call him ta this meetin'." and continued on back to the meeting.
  4. K'ailia stepped closer, "I know I've spent a lot o' time at the university, and not as much back home at camp. For that I am sorry..." She signed walking to help unload the supplies, "I must seem almost alien ta ya' now. A lot has changed. But that be the funny thing about fire too." She hefted a crate and sat it down and started inspecting the supplies it contain, "Fire burns brightest when it has somethin' ta feed it. Contained, it burn so long as it is fed by the ones containin' it." She turned to the wagon and began unloading another crate, "But when ya' take away the constraints, fire will travel the direction the wind blows it, an' consume all in its path." Setting the crate down she sate on top. "I am inquisitive by nature. Yeah it's true I stink at usin' spears an' bows. An' when K'piru left us, I also lost a teacher. When the elders sent me ta' Gridania ta learn Conjury, they removed the constraints an' this flame has now experienced stuff outside the tribe." she said almost matter of factly. She stood once more, "I dunno what ya' think be goin' on. But there be nothin' goin' on between me an' Ventus. He jes runs the Garden an his teachers teach students like me, skills that I hope ta pass on ta our tribe." Turning back to the crate she opened it and smiled at the supplies, "Despite what K'ile said, he's no' my master, no more than the Conjurer's Guildmaster was. E-Sumi-Yan was my teacher o' conjury. When I learned all I could from him, I was sent on me way." She turned then to her mother, "This flame has known freedom. It has gone where the winds had taken it. But this flame still loves where it was born. I dun wanna see this tribes fire get extinguished. But I feel it is containin' itself in a circle o' rocks that has very little wood ta eat." She took a step to her mother, "So far we've heard three suggestions. Rely on a market that dun care about us, an' that would take advantage o' us. Do nothin', or my suggestion, move out o' the circle that binds us an' find a new place with lots o' food fer us ta eat an' grow our flames big." She smiled as she gauged her mother's response.
  5. K'ailia shook her head and rose to her feet, "No need sister. I will to talk ta her. I've said my peace. I am gonna trust in the elders now ta come ta the right conclusion." With that she worked her way around the fire and squeezed passed everyone following the trail of her mother. Her part of this meeting was done. She knew this. There was nothing more for her to say. She followed K'luha's footprints, though her expression was blank, she felt hurt by K'ile's words. She had devoted everything since her failure at the hunt, to learning skills and other things on behalf of the tribe. She was heartbroken at the suffering her tribemates have been enduring while she was learning conjury. Yes she hadn't been spending much time in the tribe camp, but she wasn't sitting on her rear either. She had saw an ad for Ul'dah garden, that promised to help teach her new skills, and refine old ones. She had even found a temple of Azeyma that had sank beneath the sands of Southern Thanalan that she believed held the teachings of Azeyma. At last she found her mother, just outside their tent unloading the large sacks of water and crates of food, "Hey ma. Can I talk ta ya fer a bit?"
  6. K'ailia listened to what K'ile said, along with K'deiki and even her own mother. Was she furious at K'ile? Of course, but probably to the shock of everyone there, K'ailia remained straight faced as she stood once more. "K'ile, it is true, I am no good as a hunter. But my strengths lie elsewhere. The elders, an' even everyone here could see things have not been right in the tribe. You say there's food a' plenty in the desert? Then why do we look at our huntresses, and other youngling and see starvation? Even the very beasts we hunt have been few, an' starved themselves." She paced around the fire, approaching K'ile, "I was sent from the tribe ta learn new skills for the tribe. Ta learn ways ta help save the tribe. What have ya done ta help find a way ta save this tribe? The answer is nothin'! Ya sit around playin' with yer lil flames an' dream o' becomin' Nuhn some day." She then turned to the rest of the tribe, "I've learned stuff about the rest o' Eorzea. An' I've evaluated our skills an' our current levels o' survivability. None o' us are miners. It takes time an' strength ta go diggin' up the ores an' minerals. An' those that do it be exhausted afterwords, even when they be well fed. Our tribe is in a state o' starvation. Time I do not feel, is a luxury we gots." She then turned to the elder, "Azeyma is the goddess o' inquiry. Her teachin's is about adaptin' an' learnin'. I have been dedicatin' myself ta learnin' as much as I can. I've gained skills our shaman never dreamed o'. An' I did it all fer the tribe." She turned back to the rest of the tribe, "An usin' my learnin's, an' seein' with me own eyes the state we are in, we wont last long under these conditions. Ta survive, we must have food. If prey has dwindled ta a state that we cannot properly feed ourselves, an' the condition is the same in all our usual camp locations, then it is time ta find prey elsewhere." She took a deep breath and steadied herself, "But our hunters and huntresses are ill fed, they can hunt yes, but their state is not what it used ta be. Outsiders have offered their aid ta us, so we might grow strong again an' live on." She turned back to K'ile, "Ventus is not my master. He is the headmaster o' the school. It is a title, much like Nuhn is a title depictin' someone important. I have no master, an' ya would be well ta remember that. I follow only one, an' that is Azeyma." With that she returned to her seat and sat, her tail quite fizzed out but wraps it around onto her lap.
  7. K'ailia stood and held up the scroll for all to see, "I speak to Azeyma, an my family. This scroll I bare, comes from the Headmaster o' Ul'dah Garden, a school I have been attendin'." She walked over to the elders handing the scroll over to them, "Ventus Zeruel offers ta us, a temporary refuge so we can get back on our feet, an' if need be, find another home that can better support us. Or if we deem fit enough, return ta Sagolii ta continue livin' once more." She turned back to the flame, "All o' Eorzea was hurt durin' the fallin' sky called the Calamity. But in me short time amongst the other races, I seen them come tagether ta rebuild an' help each other stand on their own feet." She looked about the gathered with a smile, "We are Azeyma's children, but we are also part o' Eorzea. I think it be a good idea ta accept the open hand that seeks ta give us aid. We'd still have our privacy, we'd still be able ta practice our traditions. We'd jes have breathin' room ta get back inta a shape that will ensure we survive." With that, K'ailia bowed and returned to her seat. She had made the proposal. It was now in the tribes hand if they would accept.

  10. K'ailia was anxious. She knew in her heart, what must be done. She had even been approached by the headmaster of the Ul'dah Garden, that she was enrolled in with an offer for the tribe. Peaking outside her tent, she saw the elders moving through the camp. It was time. She untied her bandana, laying it to the side and pulls out a little circlet with a bright Tourmaline gem embedded into it's center. She then pulled from her pack a very old necklace that looked to be a string rung through small stones. The central stone itself having the symbol of Azeyma on it and gazed upon it with a smile before stuffing it behind the vest of her new clothes. Then she pulled from her pack yet another item, this one a rolled up scroll, the proposal from Ventus, the headmaster of Ul'dah Garden. With a deep breath she opened the flap to the tent and stepped out into the open. She could see othe tribe members starting to head towards the meeting. She hurried along and upon arriving, gave a smile to all three elders before taking a seat near the fire. She was still small compared to the rest of the tribe, so she chose a spot where she might better see each speaker. http://i.imgur.com/FfphMsO.png[/img]
  11. Nashu fumed. Where could they of gone. Surely they didn't leave without her? Those were the thoughts that ran through her mind as she paced on the ships deck. "Oi lass, yer gonna wear a rut at that pace" said the pilot. Nashu looked at him, "Oh sorry... just I can't find my family. I think they went to Limsa ahead of me." The pilot frowned, "Well that's not very nice. But I am sure you will find them eventually. Actually look, we are already here." And showing up, there was Limsa Lominsa in all its glory. The ship sailed into the dock and Nashu departed. The city was most definitely different from Gridania's. Once she checked in, she made her way through the city. She was amazed at the market, and how busy it was. There was almost no trees in the city, and the sun beat down on her much like it did in the deserts of Thanalan. But unlike the desert, the weather was markedly more comfortable for her. As she asked around about her missing father and mother, she was directed by a yellow jacket to the drowning wench. And through blind luck, she found her way there. But the barkeep was too busy with other people. But then a single lalafell in black robes motioned her over. "You look like you are looking for something." "Yeah my mother and father." she replied. After a lengthy description of the two, the lalafell told her he thought he saw them heading towards the tempest gate. So she bound for it. She was unconcerned with danger. She had after all, her trusty spear and the mail armor her father made for her. As she exited the city she was surprised at the greenery she beheld. She found herself walking backwards in awe of her surroundings. That though... proved to be a mistake. For the first thing she bumped into was an ill tempered Goobbue. The creature turned towards her and not knowing if it was dangerous or not, she pulled her spear and stabbed it in the arm. The creature let forth a mighty roar and began the attack. It swatted and bit at her, with its many rows of teeth. Panic set in as she quickly pulled off her bronze helmet and threw it at the creature. Through either reflex, or just dumb luck, the creature caught the helmet with its mouth and began chewing it and swallowed. But then the unthinkable happened. The creature began clawing at its throat and backed away before finally falling into its back. Nashu blinked and without thinking realized, that helmet was crafted for her by her father. She would not let it remain inside the creature. So she climbed onto the creature and pried its jaws opened and realized the helmet had seen better days. But it was her helmet and she was certain her father could fix it. So she began collecting shard after shard of the helmet, digging deep into the throat for the remaining pieces, this left her armor coated in the creatures stench. And that was when she felt it. Tiny teeth biting into her main armor. She looked over her shoulders. A Warf Rat was chewing her armor. She swatted it only to have two more lunch at her armor. Pretty soon she found herself running for the city gates, fifteen rats chewing her armor, the yellow jackets on duty looked dumbfounded and quickly rushed to her aid. But alas, her helmet was in pieces, and so was now her entire suit of chainmail her father made. The yellow jacket took pity on her and took her to the market where he got her some fitted leather clothing. Her big adventure was now at a close, and she owed the yellow jacket for his charity. She spent the next two days doing odd jobs for him till he declared the debt settled. She was now able to continue her search...
  12. K'ailia smiled and gave K'deiki a hug, careful not to injure the elder in the process. After a few moments she separated herself from the elder. "Thank you elder. We still need yer guidance. You are our leaders." she bowed and exited the tent. Her destination was to her mother's tent, to see if she was home.
  13. K'ailia entered the tent and smiled at K'deiki, "Me an the others got together ta try and figure out what we can do fer the tribe." She took a seat in front of K'deiki, "We exchanged ideas, but K'mih had the best one. I'd like ta propose it to you now." K'ailia took a deep breath, "We think the best way for the tribe to figure out how to improve things is fer the entire tribe to hold a big meetin' so everyone can voice ideas on how best ta improve things fer all o' us." She waited then for K'deiki's response.
  14. K'ailia nodded and also headed down. She smiled to herself, "All that be needing now... is ta tell the elders" she said to no one in particular as she climbed aboard the unicorn. There was little time, and she got the feeling mother sandstorm would be coming soon. So she rode off towards the tribe camp as quickly as the unicorn could go. The ride took several hours, about the same amount it took to get there but before long, she had arrived at camp. Dismounting, she realized the unicorn was now tired out. She had rode back faster than she had left. But now... it was time to head for the elders tent. It was time to see if the elders would be willing to call a tribe meeting to discuss the problems plaguing the tribe. But the one elder she thought would be most receptive was K'deiki. So it was her tent she approached. "Elder... are you there?" she asked.
  15. Yeah this game most definitely is full of mature language. Like when my female Miqo'te joined the Blacksmithing guild, the guildmaster literally said a line about cuckholding her husband, which she does not have. The profanity filter is on by default, and when actual cusses happen, they get turned into ????. So yeah I don't know why people playing this game would be offended. If they don't like mature language, in a game where npc's use it constantly, especially in Gridania where npc's refer to the matrons Teats and Bosoms. I think they most definitely need to find another game to play.
  16. K'ailia smiled, "Ya know what... I like that idea. I like it a lot K'mih. Dunno why no one thought o' it before." She looked at the rest gathered, "What yall think? I think it be a good step in the right direction. Have the entire tribe meet. Ask the elders ta have a tribe wide meetin' ta find a good course that everyone be comfortable with." K'ailia again smiled at K'mih, as her tail wagged excitedly.
  17. K'ailia nodded at K'nahli, "I'm not one to question the elders. But, no one be perfect either. Remember the old story told about how the tribe came to be in Thanalan? I do believe there are lessons to be had in our history." K'ailia crossed her arms, "I am not perfect. My ideas might not be good or they might be good. I do not know. I just wanted to share them." K'ailia looked K'nahli in the eyes, "Do you have ideas on what we can do? I'd like to hear yer ideas sister." K'ailia then looked at K'mih, "I could tell when you arrived, you had ideas yerself. Please, share them, no matter what the ideas be, they should be shared no matter what sister."
  18. K'ailia nodded in agreement with K'mana, "I agree. I'm not gonna usurp the elders. I jes want us ta survive." She looked at K'nahli, "If food be an issue for movin' then the solution be to stock up on food specifically fer travel. If tha issue be findin' a place to move to, then we have the elders pick scouts to go out and find a potential settlement." K'ailia sighed, "Tradition be important to my mother. And it be important to me. If we can settle some place were we can survive, I know the traditions will hold true. But the key is ta think of the tribe as a whole. Ta ensure that we can survive ta practice our traditions." K'ailia looked from face to face, "Who cares about how popular Thanalan be ta the other races! I aint sayin' we need ta cuddle up with them. We already have trades with Ul'dah. We be on good terms with them I think. But we still be our own people. No one can step between any o tha tribe members and interfere with our traditions. We be stronger than that!" She nodded at the last statement.
  19. K'ailia nodded at K'nahli, "You are right. We should get down to business. First my brother and sisters, thanks for comin'." She looked each in the face, "I want you all to give ideas of yer own. But I figured since I asked for this meeting, I may as well start." She took a deep breath before sitting on the ground and collected herself before speaking, "The tribe is in trouble. Tribe mates are hungry. Animals in Sagolii are also starved. Water has become even more rare." She closed her eyes, "An' if nothin' is done, and things continue to get worse? What becomes of the tribe? I've learned our history. We've faced similar problems in the past." She again looks upon each, "In the past, when things got bad for our tribe, we adapted to the changes. When the Hipparion vanished, our people moved to Thanalan to find new prey. And we lived on. We continued our traditions of old, but adapted them to the new home." She motioned about them, "Once, our tribe moved all around Thanalan, so my mother said. But when it became populated, we retreated to Sagolii. All of Eorzea suffered from the Calamity. But the people of each city state began working with the other city states to make things better." K'ailia sighed, "I tried suggesting to the elders, that we move beyond Sagolii, expand into the rest of Thanalan. But they are so stuck on old traditions that they do not want to leave Sagolii. They seemed to of forgotten the very past they admire. I'm not saying we should move to Ul'dah. But finding a spot where we can feed ourselves and grow strong again is imperative to our survival I think. But... if my suggestion isn't doable. Maybe one of you would have a better idea?" She now turned the floor over to whoever else would speak.
  20. K'ailia grinned and waved at K'mih, "Come on up! Good ta see you sis!" K'ailia's tail wagged with excitement at seeing your sister. But the excitement was the fact also that she felt that together, they could figure out what to do for the tribe.
  21. K'ailia smiled waving back at K'mana. She perched herself on the edge of the tower's railing continuing her watch. She figured there would be about two or three more that would come. "Nice ta see ya arrive!" said K'ailia with a measure of happiness.
  22. K'ailia rode her Unicorn along the road out of Sagolii towards the Sagolii Gate. Lily her Chocobo trotting right along side. There would be much to talk about. But first she had to think of what all she was going to say. Even her own mother had secretly taken a job in Ul'dah. As for her, she had signed up for a school called Ul'dah Garden in hopes of refining her skills. She road for some time through the canyon until finally it opend up and led to the ramp out of the canyon and into the lands above. She passed the refugee area and within a few more strides, finally arrived at the Sagolii Gate. She dismissed the Unicorn and Lily so that they might go find some place to rest. She in the mean time took the opportunity to climb to the top of the tower to keep an eye out for the other younglings.
  23. K'ailia awoke from her sleep and climbed out of her bed, giving a long stretch in feline fashion. She looked about her mother's tent, and all was quiet. K'ailia then closed her eyes and bid good morning to the elements of Sagolii. Once her morning routine was done K'ailia emerged from the tent and looked about the camp. The elders still have not made any decisions on her proposal. She suspected that they hoped she'd forget the "nonsense" and get back to being a tribe member that would never question their traditions. But looking about camp, anyone could tell at a glance, that of the people hit by the calamity, this tribe was one of the more heavily effected. Something must be done, but what she did not know. It was a problem she knew she could never solve alone. And with the older generation believing doing nothing but pushing forward on the current path being the only solution, K'ailia decided it is time to see what the other younglings like herself believe. To that end, she had wrote up notes for each youngling in the camp for a meeting at The Sagolii Gate this evening. She made her way through the camp, slipping the note under each tent flap that a young adult tribe member lived. Each note read as follows:
  24. K'ailia nodded and took K'mana's hand leading her to her mother's tent.
  25. I think I will go ahead and make a macro of that command line myself. Also has anyone seen the spam bots that aren't quite working right? The ones that in /say or /yell are spamming the letter v lol
