K'ailia looked back at K'nahli with her bright green eyes, tearful, "noo..." But her tail was still puffed out and twitching still with fright. Her ears were pinned back as she was shaking. Suddenly she embraced K'nahli trying to take comfort over her ordeal.
-
The moth landed on a cactus and K'ailia continued stalking her prey. She was completely tunnel visioned on the moth and leapt for it just as the arrow whizzed by her head, but luckily the moth flew off before the arrow impacted the cactus. Her first reaction was to scream as loud as she could and fell backwards on her bottom, her tail completely fluffed out from fright.
-
A few minutes earlier.... K'ailia is walking towards her mother's tent, when a desert moth catches her eyes. Fascinated, she began following it trying to catch the moth. Before she knew it though she was on the edge of camp, but still focused on her quarry...
-
K'ailia smiled standing and stretching, "You bet! I will learn all I can! I love learnin'!" she proclaimed and jumped down herself. She gave a wave to K'mih as she started heading for her tent. End of scene

K'ailia smiled, "I was nervous too. I dunno... I probably could of passed... but the wind blew just as I was about to fire my arrow and made me sneeze. I wonder how she is doin'..." She then looked back at K'mih, "I suggest wearing something to cover your nose before you go shootin'" with that she let out a giggle. "But then again, I was never much good with a bow to begin with. Even before the hunt I couldn't even hit a cactus with an arrow. I've always been better doing the shaman stuff.", Kailia added as she leaned back, letting her tail gently wag against the stone surface.
-
K'ailia looked at K'mih, "I'm not gonna be gone forever. They said just till I learn what I can from the Conjurer's Guild or somethin' like that." K'ailia looked back out at the distance, "They are sendin' me to some place called Gridania. Said they were arrangin' transport for me there. Mom said she was commin' too" She looked back at her half-sister, "Aint your trial soon?"
-
K'ailia looked up at the top of the boulder. It was not a native boulder. It had crashed into this spot five years ago. "I am going to climb this", she thought, and took hold of the crevices and began her climb up. The boulder was not that big, about eight feet in height. Once she reached the top, she took a look around then went to the other end of the boulder and sat down looking out at the Sagoili desert and the distant horizon. She gently wrapped her tail around and across her lap while looking at the horizon. She was scheduled to leave the tribe camp to goto Gridania to learn from the Conjurer's Guild. ((This is a new scene by the way))

Okay! I compiled these notes basing some of the cultural notes from native american tribes of the past, which I think fit the Hipparion Tribe. I simply took what I had on the tribes and converted them into Hipparion Tribe notes. So here goes: The Hipparion was the chief source of food, and items such as cups, decorations, crafting tools, knives and clothing made from the animals flesh, hide and bones. The tribe would follow the seasonal grazing and migration of the animals The tribe lived in tents made of tanned skins of the hipparion. They dry the flesh in the sun, cutting it thin like a leaf and when dry, grind it like a meal to keep it, and make a sort of sea soup of it to eat. It would be seasoned with fat which they always try to secure when they kill a hipparion. They emptied large guts and filled them with blood, and carry this around their neck to drink when they are thirsty Around June and July the tribe holds a Sun Dance Festival, where they dance around a fire in honor of Azeyma, the Warden. The festival is also a time they have open trade with other races and tribes. A commonly used technique was the Piskin method. The tribesmen would build a corral and have people herd the hipparion into it to confine them in a space where they could be killed. The Hipparion Tribe constructed a v-shaped funnel, about a mile long, made of fallen trees, rocks, etc. Sometimes hipparion could be lured into a trap by one of the tribe covering himself with a hipparion skin and imitating the call of the animals. Tribe healers had two roles. They were healers that mended wounds and tended the sick. But they also were considered so important that they were the ones who decided when the time was right to hunt.

Announcing a new video series, great. But seriously... that has got to be the worse way to announce a video series. Anyone who happen upon that without ever even hearing or knowing what gamebreaker is, wont want to see such a series.

Don't feel bad, I've received nothing as well. edit: nevermind since I was in phase 3, I guess I wont get a key, I will just be automatically in
-
I think what Kaze was pointing out is that there is a small branch of the family that did cross-breed with Keepers at one point, so if you want to play a Keeper and still be involved in the Hipparion tribe, there's a place for that. Oh that's awesome! Yeah I am waiting for the appearance software to come out on the 1st, to see how she'd look as a keeper. If I can't reproduce that look, then she will stay a seeker
-
There is room for that, I mean they would probably only be a half sister/brother due to how it works, same father different mother but plenty of space if you and your friends want to join. Don't know if they will be making a miqo'te. Mostly we just plan to play on the same server. Also if I do end up joining she'd be K'kailia. Father would be open for assignment of course Also I have skype kailia77. Feel free to add me. But I wont be able to chat till an apartment inspection is over later

Right now my current plans was to have my character be W'kailia, and probably on that server. But before I decide to join you guys I need to see what my friends will be doing, and if I'd rather make her a Keeper of the Moon or not. But there's a 50/50 chance I might join you guys, and if I do, I'd love for my char to have a sister or sibling. She'd be pretty young just so you know.

The Beta Test Phase 3 Client Both the Windows and PS3 clients used for beta test phase 3 cannot be used for beta test phase 4 or official service. Please delete the client at the end of this beta test phase. Character Appearance Data Character appearance data saved during beta test phase 3 can be used when creating a character during beta test phase 4 and official service. Those who wish to use their appearance data should not delete the following folder: Windows My Documents -> My Games -> FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn (Beta Version) PlayStation®3 (From "XMB") Game → Saved Data Utility (PS3™) Official SE post on the subject. Thanks for this information. I just now went ahead and uninstalled the Phase 3 client. However, what if I want to delete the second char slot appearance save? Is there a way to manually remove just the second appearance data?

I've been working on my own game too. But I use RPG Maker VX Ace. Really superb engine.

Wow! An offline character creator! I been thinking of my conjurer. The current plan is to make her a Seeker of the Sun, but I am wondering if I'd be able to reproduce the same look with a Keeper of the Moon. With that software I will be able to find out easy!

Miqo’te Mating Strategies Explored: a biologist’s point of view
Kailia replied to Myxie Tryxle's topic in Lore Discussion
Thinking over the various tribes of the Seekers of the Sun, what if each tribe bases their breeding habits after the animal their tribe represent? Like for instance, the Wolf Tribe. Wolves are pack animals. The father, the alpha male, does have a hand in raising the kids. His sons and brothers are like family and they are permitted to stick around unless the pack gets too big. Also female wise, only 1 female breeds, the alpha female. All other females are not permitted within the pack to breed. I think if calculating the animal the tribe is based around (Though I know it's not possible since some tribes are based around animals found only in fantasy), it could add an interesting depth to the relationships between males and females. -
Well assuming there isn't an actual RP server... hmm I suppose I'd like to roll on the legacy one, since it is pretty well established. But it also depends on what server my friends would choose to. But for now I will vote for the legacy one.

I am with you on that. My character wouldn't be a kitten factory. She's more independent than to be one. If anything she's only recently come into adulthood and beginning her journey. She's not interested in mating, only learning and seeing the world at this stage of her life.
-
Yes, that's how I see it too. Characters could be traveling around the world, but still keep ties with their tribe. Organizing events would also be fun, and they'd bring the Miqo'te's community together. It'd also be interesting to see what the Seeker males come up with to fight for the nunh title. There are many possibilities. Now... I actually don't know how to organize such a thing *falls*. I guess that, in order for it to work, several people should be willing to change their characters' name to adapt to whatever tribe is chosen in the end. Should we make a poll? ; Yeah make a poll I am hoping for a tribe of the wolf. Doesn't seem like too many people will be using the wolf though.
-
Well I will be playing a seeker of the sun Miqo'te. I am quite fond of the wolf, so her name will be W'kailia. Also I don't know what server I will be on yet either. Hopefully they make at least 1 server an RP server to make the decision a whole lot easier for me.

The lack of elderly Miqo'te is probably an aesthetic choice made by Squeenix. However, there's also the possibility that Miqo'te age much more gracefully than other races. Which makes sense actually. Since they are part feline, one can hardly tell how old a cat is in real life. You just know they aren't a kitten no more. I think it goes hand in hand with their very youthful look in game. The females no matter what face you take, look like they are young girls you'd see in anime. While Hyur females can look more mature, even similar to Yuna or older. So it could well be there are elderly Miqo'te, they just don't look it. Like how lotr elves stop physically aging after a certain period in their lives.
