Welcome to the forums and the server! ^^

While Zyrus may not be the largest fan of Au Ra, I can't say that this topic really adds any fuel to... whatever fire it is that you are referencing. Every poll will have a limited scope, some more than others. It's still an interesting link in my opinion.

I will be making at least one Au Ra alt. I will never, ever fantasia my characters - even if I killed them off in the RP.
-
I think he meant a massive population shift(race-wise). From an RP perspective, it might be quite bizarre to suddenly see Au Ra walking around as though they had been there all along, and in massive numbers.

Oh, roleplaying!

I usually go in with some idea but more often than not they turn out quite differently. In the case of my Au Ra, I had a plot in mind for him and I had formed an image around a character that fit that concept... and yet I couldn't picture him in my head. Having said that, I knew I wanted a large(therefore tall) and dark character whom looked intimidating but not demonic. I was trying to find a balance between a character I could personally find aesthetically appealing(because I don't tend to like making ugly - by my standards - characters) and yet still threatening. Hairstyles posed a problem because I wanted something longer but the creator lacks in variety generally speaking, so that was the main issue.... otherwise I was pretty content with the results and they came as close as I can say possible to my not-really-existant mental image, haha. Edit: By the way, your character is pretty! Personally I prefer the second hairstyle *nods* ^^

Even as Clover happily invited the idea of staying, Andre couldn't help but return her sentiment with a reluctant glance. His weight shifted unevenly on to his back leg as he still leaned on the thought of coming back another time. Had she been home at all, he had -up until now- been relying on the idea that she would be indoors... and therefore, would naturally invite him inside. There, at least, he could discuss things safely, appropriately. After all, it was - as he imagined - not a topic to be discussed lightly out in public like this. A hesitant breath pressed out past his lips as he resigned the notion in defeat - still, however, unable to subdue a soft smile that always seemed to appear on it's own, like a natural response to Clover's particularly innocent nature. ("Just a normal girl...") was the thought that accompanied that smile. Echoing his previous conclusion, though still far from solidifying the sentiment to the point that his worries could so simply be put aside. "A large shipment of supplies have been passing through Fallgourd Float the past few days..." the young hyur began as he made his way towards her. Without thinking, he immediately began rolling up both his sleeves and allowed himself to kneel down alongside the girl. The sweet scent of upturned soil and fresh compost from the flowerbed before him greeted his nose, bringing him to eagerly draw in a deep breath of the calming aroma. His smile seemed to grow just a little wider for that small detail as his eyes remained shut for a second or two, relishing in the gentle warmth of the sun that complimented the many, wonderful scents that floated through the air around him. Opening his eyes once again, Andre found himself casting a running glance along the rich layer of earth before him, noting a number of small hollows dug into the soil, presumably where Clover had intended to plant new seeds. "...the merchants and Adder alike were worried about allowing so much traffic to pass through without proper protection, and so a number of us spent the duration out north" he continued as he gingerly gathered a modest, palm-full of seeds into his hand. "May I?" he asked with a soft hint of amusement as he threw his glance back to meet with Clover's emerald eyes..

What Tv show/movie are you ashamed to say you DIDNT WATCH?
K'nahli replied to Branson Thorne's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
I'm not ashamed of these but I certainly won't mention the first one to my friend freely.... I think that if I did, she'd start viewing me with cold eyes @A@ 1. Star Wars series 2. Godfather series -

((OOC Note: For anyone thinking I am neglecting Clover, I was giving her a breather for a while since she had RP going on in other games!)) K'nahli simply nodded in response. She didn't seem to notice any of the boy's reservations nor his embarrassment. How could she? As far as she was concerned, K'rahto had no understanding of such feelings to begin with. Retreating a number of steps until she was alongside Suna, K'nahli gave a final, inspecting glance between both hers and K'rahto's chocobo, ensuring that they had everything they'd need. Another nod, though incredibly subtle, followed as she felt satisfied that they were set to begin their journey. "Alright... then I guess we should get moving.." she eventually declared with an uncomfortable voice - a voice that was seemingly trying very hard to hide the anxiety that lay behind it Bringing herself up on to her saddle with relative ease, K'nahli ushered Suna into a simple turn with a soft tutting noise until, like K'rahto, she was also facing south-west towards Ul'dah. The girl squinted slightly as she focused her gaze out across the distant horizon that was separated from them only by the harsh lands and beaskin that inhabited it. Though this would be her first time travelling to Ul'dah from such a place, she felt relatively confident of her abilities to navigate her way there, even in unfamiliar terrain such as this. Compared to the ever-changing desert sands and it's lack of reliable landmarks, this should be nothing for her. "Our goal is make it as far as the mountain range before midsun. Once there we can comfortably trek through the shade while the heat fades" she explains aloud after taking a moment to study the land, indicating towards the distant formations ahead of them. Her comment seemed to cause Suna to chirp happily in response, garnering the girl's attention for a second or two, and again, bringing about a soft though unseen smile across her face. As ever, it were almost as though she had understood K'nahli's words and were merely excited to be getting some proper exercise in the first time since their migration to these new lands. It was calming to have such small moments that distracted her from the continuous sense of tension... though in truth, K'rahto hadn't really done or said anything to make her feel even more uncomfortable than she already was - yet, at least. Though even still, perhaps she should take it as a good sign. Taking her eyes forward again for another couple of seconds to verify her judgement of the route they would take, K'nahli then glanced back over her shoulder to address K'rahto once more, while only bringing him partly into her vision. "Ready?" She hadn't forgotten that K'rahto had already answered this question... and yet still she asked it. Whether she were hoping that he would realise he had forgotten something at the last moment or if it were simply to buy herself a few more seconds of thought... K'nahli's gaze was now focused in the direction of their camp. It would be the first time that she left for Ul'dah without K'mih, and even still, she hadn't so much as said goodbye to her. In truth, it wasn't that she didn't want to, but merely the fact that she didn't even know how. How was she supposed to so much as approach her sister after the way she, herself, had been behaving lately? After what felt like several moments of thought, K'nahli blinked hard with reluctance and bit down on the inside of her lip. Whatever K'rahto had replied to her just now, she didn't hear it.

I think I'm going to revert to using black hair until further notice. I changed the complexion slightly to better suit it, albeit it looks weirdly green in this first image @@

Does anyone with any experience with tarot card and fortune telling RP, or those whom have ideas for roleplaying their future Astrologian, have any advice, tips or resources for those who are completely new to it? It sounds like something that might be incredibly difficult to wing on some basic and recurring details so I'd like to get as much information as possible.

Do either of you have tumblrs that you upload character screens to by any chance? I realllllly want to like your posts if so @A@

Wahh... she looks so timid! This one is my favourite. She looks so confident!

Your characters both look amazing!

I'm having real trouble deciding on a hair colour.... White adds contrast and helps keeps the scales from looking like a beard at certain angles as well as breaks up the large amount of black tones coming from the would-be hair, scales and dark skim complexion as opposed to trying to achieve a similar result by adding grey highlights which I don't feel very inclined about. Having said that, white also seems to give him a different charisma from what I had initially anticipated and I already had to deal with shorter-than-hoped-for hair.

If anyone is interested in checking height comparisons next to other characters then this is a handy, little tool ^^ http://www.mrinitialman.com/OddsEnds/Sizes/sizes.html

Still playing with mine. Noooot sure what to do about hair colour. Initially I had imagined black, but I don't know.... white actually kinda works too...

It's just a stand-alone file. Extra it to wherever and it should work on it's own once you open it.

Now with the benchmark available for download. I figured a topic where you can post your creations along with any concept you may have for them here since the other topic is mostly about discussion and posting random creation screens from the event. Please don't ban me mods ~ Happy posting!

You weren't using a direct link to an image but rather one to a slideshow that had it embedded. I fixed it for you just now, though your selected dimensions were distorting it from the original. I removed that part too for you so it's being displayed at the correct size. I hope that was alright!

I suspected that "last of a decimated tribe" would be a popular concept alright. It's a shame that their lore makes it difficult considering their lack of presence in Eorzea because it would be a very interesting dynamic that I, unfortunately, will likely not be able to play a real part in. My character will be largely following in the steps of his companion so I don't know how much of his own story I can leak into this without giving him his own, individual goals and identities(which is contrary to the concept he has, haha). For anyone other than the OP though, you should consider finding like-minded people and play as a group that are the "last remnants of a tribe" as opposed to the "sole survivor" if you are interested in the lore at all. That'd be really cool to see and hear about in the open world, even if I likely won't get to play much part in it ;_; In any case, I hope someone latches on to your idea, Ramuh! Anything to see some Auri, tribal concepts dragged into Eorzea.

It's definitely not a question you can give a one-fits-all answer to be sure. There are honestly, far too many things that require considering *nods*
