  1. You don't need to rush into making a wiki if you don't want to ^^ Also, would K'iht work? I'm not sure how exactly you pronounce your name but the way I hear it it would be like going from: Key-t' -> Koo-ee-t' As for joining, just add a little reply here indicating that you were bullied into joining by two tribe members and let us know your Skype(if you'd like) so we can add you to the group chat ^^
  2. Wahhh, I almost wish I had a bad character to associate with some of these organisations now >w< It would be so fun, especially with the vigilantes floating about.
  3. Made a mistake with the skin colour here and Lala eyes look more red than brown for this example but oh well! ^^ Tayo Thorne Andre Winter Alex Hawthorn
  4. Excuse the double post but, you are cleared for landing! ^o^
  5. Nyahaha! I'll see if I can sneak you in right now but I can't promise anything ;w;
  6. *cough* *cough* But hello! Welcome to our community, I hope you enjoy it as much as I have so far ^^ In seriousness though we'd love to have you join so long as it's okay with everyone else. As I recall we were having difficulty fitting new people into the tribe since quite a lot of people joined but we'd be happy to ask for you nonetheless! ^^ And there's no, 'initiation' or anything like that with us. You just join the tribe, fit yourself in with the family tree and then behave as though you had been with us all along ^^ Regardless of your decision, I hope you make the one that's best suited to you ^^ Good luck and once again, welcome to the community ~
  7. I have a near-op bounty hunting character who'd like to have some area in Ul'dah to frequent for business. I thought it'd be nice if he had one or two people who regularly assigned him contracts but I suppose this would be difficult to organise since you actually require someone who is on the run and willing to co-operate with him once/if he finds them. Aside from that, said person could also take messages for him and organise meetings for anyone that wants a kill/capture if they haven't heard of my character and therefore don't contact him directly. Eheh... writing it out makes it sound awfully complicated and unlikely to work but I'll remain hopeful ^^ _________________________________ I also have a character who is part of a noble family and, because of his connections, landed a prestigious job as a castle guard at a relatively young age(21) which I think would mean he'd be a Sultansworn? If that term is correct. In any case, he abandoned his post and left Ul'dah after getting into a little trouble so if anyone is involved with that business then they could be familiar with him and the trouble he is in. In addition to that, if anyone has a character playing a tavern owner in Ul'dah then you could be familiar with him for similar reasons.
  8. As you should be Great work! I don't think you need to, it should be perfectly workable as is ^^

    Hiya!

Welcome to the community! ^^ There are many people new to roleplaying here on the forums too so no need to worry. As for myself, I'm kiiiiiinda new but I am still as terrible at it as I was when I started =w= I'll always be around to make even the worst RP'ers look fantastic, nyaha. In seriousness though, I'm sure you'll do great ^^ I look forward to possibly reading your tags in the future!
  10. Welcome to the forums!
  11. Welcome to the forums ^^ I hope you continue to enjoy the community we have here.
  12. Balmung! Balmung! Join ussssssss~ But really, from what I have seen there are going to be a lot of fresh faces(myself included) going ahead and joining the Balmung server and because of the large community I don't think you have anything to fear. Everything will be well-balanced from the beginners to the veterans and there ought to be many opportunities for you to find your own little niche.
  13. There's a fair number of extremely rich and "noble" families in Ul'dah, in addition to being guards on the upper parts of the city. (Kylin can probably speak more to this than I can; it's one of his areas of lore expertise.) Those guards are part of the Immortal Flames and loyal to the Sultanate politically. That doesn't mean that any individual has strong ties to the Sultanate, of course, and since the Immortal Flames is a Grand Company, you can join it in game. All in all, I think your concept is good as long as you don't tie back to canon characters or the Sultanate itself -- which you said you didn't want to do. You could, for instance, play a member of a rich merchant house that gets a cushy palace guard position in the Immortal Flames, which gives you the connections you want. Thank you very much ^^ Actually, he would have been a former guard so hopefully that will cause even less hassle. I'm happy to know it fits in neatly then, thank you once again.
  14. We're all the same >o< Thank God they released it so far ahead of the release date. That Miqo'te is very pretty by the way, I love her ^^
  15. Your character(signature) is gorgeous *-* Really nice work creating her ^^
  16. Could you be more specific? Knight isn't really a race, and I don't think there are any knights in Ul'dah unless you count the Sultanate. Sorry to go off-topic, but you've hit on something related to one of my characters and I didn't want to make a topic over it. Would it be fine if I were to say that he was a castle guard and/or from some noble family in Ul'dah(perhaps not the Sultanate, that sounds too prestigious and well known). I wanted to give him some higher and more privileged ties without being it being too famous or making him well-known throughout Eorzea(or even Ul'dah for that matter).
  17. I always wonder how often this thought process carries over to real life..."There are too many white people here in my home country of Sweden. I think I'll move to Uganda, where I'll stand out more." A class glut is one thing, because it potentially effects one's actual mechanical gameplay experience, with the lessened ability to get into groups with a particular role, etc. But race really shouldn't matter to anyone else but the player it seems to me (especially in FFXIV, where any racial advantages are really negligible), so my suggestion is that one goes with what makes them happy to play. As you can see, the majority of everyone else seems to be doing just that If I were to guess, I would say it's simply a matter of trying to make your character different from the norm. Not necessarily stand out, but interestingly unique and not just a slightly different clone of everyone around you. Ah, I see. Thank you for explaining that ^^
  18. Alex's glance followed in-synch with the young musician's as he indicated the direction of another inn a little outside of the village. Turning back to face the man, he offered a subtle nod in gratitude as he turned his back and proceeded towards the doorway once again. After having taken a few steps, he halted and slowly tilted his head towards the ceiling in thought as he slowly groomed both hands through his sleek, black hair. He allowed both arms to fall loosely back down by his sides as he held the position for a brief moment longer before fishing through one of his pockets. He slowly retracted his hand which was now clutching a small, silken coin pouch. "Here..." he spoke aloud to the man without turning to face him, tossing the coin pouch over his shoulder, causing it to land on the table nearby. "I enjoyed the few songs that you did know" he continued, turning his head to glance over his right shoulder before advancing towards the doorway. Though it contributed to compacting his headache, he would have otherwise enjoyed the musician's charisma and talent on a normal day. That and he was appreciative to one the one person who managed to not piss him off that day.
  19. Alex glanced down at the man's extended hand briefly before stating his business, blatantly ignoring the man's welcoming gesture. "I'm looking for an inn. Know where I can find one?" he spoke concisely, simply seeking to end the day as quickly as possible. He studied the young man firmly as he awaited his response. The warmth from the dying fire continued to enwrap itself around Alex, offering a homely and comforting feel, contrasting that of the lonely corner he has previously been occupying.
  20. Hahaha... can you imagine if there really was such a thing as spending too much time playing with the creator?
