Go Go Daishi, he's our man! If he can't do it... well he'll make up for it in the coming days I'm sure, but still... YOU CAN DO EEET! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
-
"Exactly right... Aldgoat urine." Doc snatched the bottle and his bag off of the man. Careful with this bag, it doesn't really like to be treated like that, anyway...." Doc reached again into his bag for another bottle and handed it to the man. "Better wash that down with some rum, no woman is going to want to kiss you with Aldgoat urine breath." Doc paused for a moment in thought. "Well at least no woman it would be wise to associate with. Either way, restraining wont be necessary, that stuff is strong enough to send our large friend here," Doc patted Wandering Lion on the shoulder, "To dream land for at least a day and night, so it should work just as well if not better with this chap."
-
Doc frowned at the sight of the injured stranger and nodded to Croix. "I have more than enough..." Doc took a few different vials from his bag, handing one over to Croix. "Use this on the wounds, it will disinfect and help the flesh bind together more easily," Doc poured a few different liquids into the empty bottle he had picked up earlier and shook it vigorously. "Someone raise his head so I can tip this down his throat. He isn't going to like the taste that's for sure but he'll thank us in the morning. Or he wont it doesn't matter, but at least he'll still be alive not to thank us." Doc took a whiff of the concoction inside the bottle and winced. "Needs some mint... oh well, next time... Once you get his wounds dressed I know a few curative magics that should at least put him in the right direction between dead and not dead. So look alive people lets get this done." Doc grinned with a twinkle in his eye.
-
Doc grinned at the group's defence of themselves, "Excellent, had to be sure you understand." Doc smiled as Chichiri picked out a yellow jelly cactuar. "Fine choice! They are excellent." When Doc was certain no one else would be taking up his offer of sweets he placed them back into his bag. "It certainly makes my job easier to see that you are at least noble in your intentions. But you are right, It is perhaps, not the most conventional of messages. However it adds to the mystique don't you think?" Doc reached into his bag again and produced another card, this time with a lone figure pictured on it surrounded by stars. "This was mine, It's an invitation of sorts, well by 'of sorts' I do in fact mean it is an invitation. It comes from a friend of mine, well... by friend I would say someone I've known for the last year or so, hardly any time at all really. However he is convinced that he needs to find your Captain there..." Doc points to the card in Wandering Lion's possession which bares a figure of a pirate on it, quite similar to the likeness of the captain himself. "Quite how my friend came to know of your Captain... or even myself come to think of it, I haven't quite worked out... yet... but curiosity will keep me here, at least until then. In the mean time, I've been assigned the task of tracking a few people, with mixed results I must say, some are most... difficult to find."

"Chichiri" Doc smiled a comforting smile Chichiri's way, "That's a nice name. No need to be nervous, we wont bite." Doc looked around at the slightly confused looking group. "Hmm... you're wondering how I got in? Well, I made a quick detour but was able to catch up just in time to see you all dart inside here." Doc wandered the room picking up an empty bottle checking the heft of it in his hand. "Hmm... this seems fine." he said to himself as usual fairly loudly. "Oh yes the door... " Doc swung around in one motion to face everyone again." It was locked wasn't it, Umm... well lets just say, there are keys, and there are keys." Doc smiled again, this time a beaming smile of pride. "Anyway, the question is, what exactly do these ladies need protection from hmm? As far as I see, they have leapt from the fire and into the pirate's den, doesn't exactly scream safety to a young woman does it?" Doc reached into the bag he was carrying and revealed a small paper bag, stuck two fingers into the bag and produced a small piece of candy that he quickly popped into his mouth. "He offered the bag around. "Jelly Cactuar? They are rather good."

Doc watched the scene unfold and watched as "Wandering Lion" entered the scene. "Hmm..." he rubbed his chin in thought. "Well this certainly saves me a trip." Doc appraoched the small group. "Excuse me my large hulking friend." He called out to Wandering Lion. "I dont suppose you could do me a favour could you?" Doc produced a small playing card from his pocket and handed it out to the the large Roegadyn. "You wouldn't be a chum and hand that to your captain would you? I would do it myself but he is proving an elusive one to find. Always sailing here and there, so very hard to pin down you seafaring folk." Doc smiled and nodded in the direction of the two women. "Forgive me I seem to have forgotten some... well I'll get around to everyone eventually." Doc turned back to the Roegadyn. "So? What do ya say? If it helps I can offer a few coins for your trouble, but it is important it gets to him."

Doc glanced briefly at a man knocked to his feet in the ensuing chaos, then disregarded almost immediately. Doc sighed and reached into a bag under his table grabbing a small box and a handful of spherical shaped objects. "Well, that escalated rather quickly..." Doc whistled as he moved around the fighting dropping a couple of the spherical objects here and there. He looked up from dropping one of them and saw a man approaching a guard unnoticed from behind with a weapon drawn, he quickly threw the contents of the box he was carrying onto the floor releasing a large amount of small ball-bearings across the floor of the tavern, the approaching man was caught unaware, slipped on the ball-bearings and went crashing to the ground alerting the guard in front of him. "Excellent..." Doc grinned then moved towards the door. He knew that it was wise to at least know the direction of the exit for if things got a little too out of hand he could set off the smoke bombs he had just laid around the place. "Hmmm... then again if anyone was to step on one of them, well... then they would all go off and then... poof... yes, best to head in that direction." Doc picked up a glass of water on his way to the door that he narrowly saved from being knocked off a table. "Mmm, refreshing..."

Thanks Fezs are cool

Id pretty much agree here, last time we had a Ventrilo server it was quite popular to being with then we noticed that people ended up talking instead of role-playing. Granted it is handy for any in game stuff that requires planning and tight organisation.

"Kara!" Doc woke up with an exclamation, a paper stuck to his face as he sat upright. He had fallen asleep at a table in the tavern, he didn't even remember being tired. He grasped a glass of water that was on the table in front of him, took a gulp and then poured the remainder over his head. "Woah... that's better." Doc grinned and looked around the tavern as he pushed back his wet hair from his eyes. "Right, when, where and why am I?... here" Doc cocked his head slightly, "Oh yes now I remember, here. Oh yes, this is where it gets interesting. Well by interesting, I mean It may or may not all start here, I'm not sure I could be off by a day or..." Doc looked at a confused looking waitress who was now staring at him. "I'm talking out loud aren't I?" The waitress nodded slightly. "''Fraid so sir. Can I get you anything?" Doc nodded and smiled. "Bread please, I have a sudden craving for bread, Is that odd?" The waitress shook her head. "Only is if you dump it over your head sir." Doc grinned, "Oh good, well bread please, and some more water, as I seem to be out." The waitress hurried off and Doc continued his scan of the tavern when his eyes met with a bird. Doc immediately looked up, when he realised there was in fact a roof he went back to silently staring at the bird. "Curious..." he muttered and the piece of paper fell off of his face.

Ignoring the need for mule use (which Im not sure we will need this time around so much) I think it affects RPers more really than most because lots of us tend to like to make various characters for RP purposes. Now that isnt going to be financially viable for a lot of people.

...And when the appointment is up someone botting jumps in and takes your place forcing you to wait another week for the chance

A friend of mine who was in Alpha, scored a 750 or so on the benchmark test, but reports the Alpha ran perfectly fine for him. So, it might be worth a try for some people.

Nice episode, not sure about the live party report, that might get some complaints but the rest was cool, well done guys. Regarding character creations- I want a Fez... Fez's are cool Aside from that Id recommend for those new to roleplay, just create a character who has a similar if not the same, personality to you, that way you get to Roleplay a character who already has familiarity and get used to the whole thing without having to worry too much about how your character would react. Then later, when you feel up to it, make a different character with a differing personality and focus on that aspect of RP, how this new character would react to things around him or her. That was how I started anyway
