If they were whites/NQ, it's a pretty big gap. If they were dungeon pinks/greens, it's not as big of a deal. Anything more than 10 levels you will start to notice extreme differences in ability, no matter how good each player is.

Short answer: Yes. Long answer: The gear someone has is dependent on how conscientious the player is. If someone is speed-leveling an alt class (common at this point in the game), or is simply a new player, it is not rare to encounter someone with gear that is far below their level. Not everyone will take the steps they should to ensure that they don't have a rough time as they level. For instance, I always updated my gear every 5 levels when I was leveling other classes. Not everyone will do this and you will unfortunately be stuck running Cutter's Cry with people in level 15 gear. It can be annoying, but just think of it as T13 practice. If you were able to keep him up, that says more about you than his uh... experimental play style. Remember: You as the healer are always right. Don't listen to those naughty DPS scrubs!

They aren't clear. I know the most requested emote in the japanese forums is a "change-pose" while dozing for Miqo'te esspecially and the most requested armors are Cecil's PLD & DRK, the School uniforms from Type-0 and Squall's outfit from FFVIII. Could be any of those or something different. Being able to doze in public beds, as well as a proper lay down emote are probably the most clamored for at the moment. We shall see if Square Enix actually delivers.

What is important is that you don't stop trying. Balmung is a huge server, so it is really only a matter of finding the right people - the people who mesh well with your attitude and how you play, and who share the same interest in clearing and helping with content. Remember, you can't win if you don't play, but if you give up you will most certainly never clear anything. There is an abundance of tools for you to use at your disposal. The official and fan forums. Party Finder. Shout. Hell, I've gotten tons of clears just by whispering people in PF who are looking for 'experienced players only,' despite not having much experience myself. Just keep trying dude, you'll get it.

Cloud wasn't a vegetable until way later in the story, not the beginning, and three new characters from Advent Children are not remnants from original story, they're manifestations of Sephiroth's will in the lifestream. Cloud was in a vegetable-like state up until the events leading to Zack's death. Once he died Cloud was... magically better! And jumping on trains and shit! And then he vegetable'd again with the whole wheelchair fiasco but seriously now /derail

It makes sense, in a way. Like you said, random people think it's perfectly acceptable to send tells along the lines of: "lololol did you just cast holy IC omg scrub gb2Gilgamesh" so it is easy to blur the lines between those who enjoy calling people out, and those that simply tend to avoid it. For me, I do not agree with WHM roleplay, and would certainly not go out of my way to RP with those whose interpretation of the lore is so drastically different from my own. Perceiving this opinion as an attack, however slight, would be way off. For people who are used to derision for their perhaps less-than-popular interpretations, anything but universal acceptance may as well be an outright attack, even if that is not the case. This is just how I see it, however, and I cannot presume to know the feelings of everyone. There is really no solution for this except honest discourse, and not discarding people's opinions because they do things and interpret things differently.

Edda has a lods of emone so she can just pay other people to do super special things. Aside from that she is effectively useless.
