  1. You just download it and make an account, and then you can add people to yout "phonebook".. I'm not exactly sure how to do group conversations, but I'm sure it's not that hard to figure out... About Vent: If enough people donate a bit of money for it, it shouldn't be too bad... I can see why one person don't want to do it, but if all of us donate something, it shouldn't have to be more than a dollar, max... Not sure how to make it work though ^^
  2. When I was a kid, I was always scared that ghosts would come up through the crack between the bed and the wall. I slept in the top part of a bunk bed, and I would always sleep out against the "railing", toward the room. I've never really been afraid of zombies though. But I can see why they're scary, I think it's the idea of being eaten alive.
  3. Nevermoria on Skype. I'll have to get used to having it running all the time.
  4. One of the reasons why Cell is so great, is that they're not actually zombies, they're insane people (I can say that without spoiling too much, it happens in like, the first chapter of the book). It spreads through the cellphones, and since everyone has one, almost everyone gets hit. It also means that they will NOT decay in 30 days, they'll keep on living for YEARS. That's sort of what I would be preparing for I think it's just as likely that we get hit by something that turn living into zombie-like things, than the dead rising from the graves.
  5. Wow, that sucks People are such lowlifes sometimes.
  6. Hehe, good point. Though if we're imagening that it happens in OUR world, I don't know how many necromancers I really know All this makes me want to write a zombie/post-apocalpytic novel though. I just finished Stephen King's Cell, and while not exactly a zombie novel, it comes close enough.
  7. While I can see your point about bikes being silent, it's also really hard to run over someone on a bike, and a lot easier to get thrown off if someone reaches for you, compared to a car. I think it's a matter of preference and different strategics. Also, you assume that the zombies won't be active during the day. There's no way to be sure about that really, they're dead after all, so it's likely that they won't need any sort of rest, and are equally fine during the night and day. I can see the point of the blade too, but I'd still prefer something that can take a lot out at once, and you can argue that something that doesn't require you to actually be within reach is good too. I think it's all a preference and a question of different tactics, but to say that for instance a car is a terrible idea compared to a bike, I disagree completely with. Both have their good and bad sides.
  8. Does anyone know if it's actually possible to use apostrophes in the naming? I doubt I'll be changing Seraj no matter what, and it does seem like it fits fairly well, but it would still be nice to know ^^
  9. Well, in a real zombie infestation, I doubt they'd just be gone after 6 months I don't have any shelter, no one really has stuff like this anymore... The last time anyone had those sort of protection chambers here were during WW2.
  10. While there's definitely a lot of previous FFXI players out there, there's also a lot who isn't, and using the old terms CAN be a bit confusing to us sometimes I know the races relatively well, as well as a few other things, but in general, I wish that people would at least try to use the proper term to avoid confusion And Aveline: Wow, I actually didn't know that. But to be honest, I hadn't really thought much about it either <.< Thanks for clearing it out!
  11. I have a pretty large window, so I'd say around... 6-10 or something... The door is pretty thick, so it should be ok...
  12. For transport, I'd want to learn to drive a motorbike, for easy movement and zig-zagging between zombies and stuff... I guess I'm generally more for the idea of fleeing than fighting
  13. I'm gonna go for a flamethrower. If +90% of the population turns into zombies, you'll most likely be overwhelmed before you get a chance to shoot your way through, if you have to do it 1 by 1. So yeah, a flamethrower, and clothes I can run in, since everyone know zombies are slow. ... Am I the only one who want to do zombie rp now?
  14. I think they said somewhere that they only works up to a certain level. So yeah, I guess I agree that it's probably not with the CE. About the lag, I agree, but on the other hand, it wouldn't surprise me if there's still a LOT of people who get CEs. So there will probably still be quite a lot of people around. Though of course, splitting it means that it will be less than if they didn't, so still great ^^
  15. I'd love to get the goggles, I'd never use the helmet. But I'd might not use the goggles anyway, I can imagine them being a bit over popular...
  16. Doublepost, but I found this: http://www.ffxivcore.com/topic/8711-bes ... nion-helm
  17. Yeah, but that's a pretty old statement. The one I remember reading is much newer.
  18. I'm sure I read somewhere that it was confirmed, but of course I can't remember where.
  19. The place I looked, I don't remember where, it was around 80 Euro, which is quite a bit more. In Denmark though, I think it's around 800 DKK, 140 dollars... .... Okay, that's way too much. Maybe I should doublecheck with the store...
  20. Seraj grinned widely. "You're welcome, that portrait is worth it. Thanks for your time," she said and raised her mug a bit before taking a drink from it.
  21. I've preordered the CE, though it's MUCH more expensive here than it is over there >.< But if I have to pay shipping from America, it will probably be the same anyway.
  22. Sounds good, and I had a lot of fun I'm looking forward to meeting everyone in game!
  23. I had no idea! Thank you for that explanation, that makes so much sense
  24. I have HUGE problems saying Thaumaturge myself.
