  1. Gods, Osric. Can't you follow the forum rules? Osric, like most people with authority in Ul'dah, doesn't have to follow the rules, he just makes sure EVERYONE ELSE does. Zarekt.
  2. A fair point. But then, in a nation that claims that 'divinity is the colour of gold', any race so talented as the Midlanders in whoring themselves in just about every way, shape and form would do well, no? It's harder for those of us who have some pride. Chachan: being a magnificent diva is it's own reward.
  3. It certainly helps when you have a full 364 days to finish the toys, huh?
  4. Did you say something, Gegs? I couldn't hear it over the sound of how puny you are. How's the 20kg PR squat coming along, lil' guy?
  5. It's cute how Osric thinks of the Midlanders and the Highlanders as the same race. They're always trying to match up to us, bless their wee socks.
  6. Melodia indulges in the sex and love lives of others to assuage the relentless sense of numbness she feels. Maybe don't go so rough next time.
  7. Stormwind: If 1 counts as madness and 10 counts as genius, being a 1.5 still technically counts as being between them.
  8. YOU DON'T DESERVE HIM AND YOU KNOW IT. come at me
  9. I can think of a few names for that mercenary.
  10. Oh wow, another one from the corrupted pits of Neopets RP initiation. Welcome to FFXIV, and the RPC!
  11. Hell of a comment coming from the woman sating her needs with half a roegadyn! hay warren that was a nice speedy post edit. Are you as quick in the sack?
  12. Warren, when are you gonna leave that pretty wee kitten of yours and find yourself a real woman? Or do you know you couldn't handle one?

  16. "Is that your natural hair colour?" Bryn: "Yes." "What about your eyes?" Bryn: "They're natural, too." "What ab--" Bryn: "Yes." "You're very pale for a Highlander." Bryn: " ... Thank you?" "You're very reasonable for a 'Mhigan." Bryn: *Resists acting upon fantasy of removing speaker's head, wearing it as a trophy on her belt for her foes to look upon and despair.* " ......... Thank you."
  17. Due to a large influx of new members, Aeon has closed it's recruitment once more. We apologise for any inconvenience! Updates will be posted here when we're taking new members again.
  18. Brynhilde's themes are redemption, and the limits of forgiveness. When I thought about what kind of character I could make from those themes, I decided that the concept I wanted to go with was that of a very flawed, yet well-meaning woman who is tormented by wrongs she committed in her past. To that end, I didn't give her any special powers. I wanted her to be character who is in a constant state of struggle; her wars are not only external, but inside herself also. She's a woman grappling with the burden of guilt and the immense task of atonement, and I wanted her to conduct that fight purely through her own hard graft. Otherwise, her victories would be meaningless. Secondly, I wanted Bryn to be a survivor. She fought a guerilla war for many years in the Resistance, and so is very cunning and resourceful in combat. With these things in mind, I decided that Bryn would be an exceptionally talented swordswoman (you would be, after 34 years of training), with some limited conjury learned in a field medic capacity. She can take magitek smallarms apart and reassemble them in a flash. She knows battle strategy and has some skill in crafting explosives. That's it.
  19. Body weight exercises are good for beginners, but will only get you so far if you're looking for big strength gains. So you have to ask yourself what your main goal is; fitness, strength or physique? Or perhaps you're training for a specific event. At any rate, you will eventually need to tailor your training to your goals. Firstly, there's a ton of free stuff out there for you to utilise. You may want to begin with something like http://www.hundredpushups.com/ (please always warm up before exercise, particularly before anything to do with the back and shoulder muscles. An inflamed rotator cuff is no fun, lemme tell ya). Apps I recommend: https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/kettlebell-workout-360-free/id567925586?mt=8 (I can't recommend kettlebells enough. They take some technique, but result in an excellent work out) https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/seconds-pro-interval-timer/id363978811?mt=8 http://www.clearskyapps.com/portfolio/couch-to-5k (Don't neglect cardio.) Zombies, run! (turning the monotony of running into a fight for survival against zombies which chase you based off of your GPS data. Complete with voice-acted storyline and a town building mini game where you collect resources on your runs! It's great.) As a beginner, don't bother worrying yet about optimal training times, split workouts, etc. You'll only overcomplicate things. The fact is, beginners can expect to see rapid gains on any training regimen with good rest and diet. Eventually you will plateau with what you are doing, and that's where the concept of progressive overload comes in. But you don't need to worry about that yet. Here's a book you may find useful: http://www.amazon.com/You-Are-Your-Own-Gym/dp/0345528581/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1430864116&sr=8-1&keywords=you+are+your+own+gym And depending on how broke you are, it wouldn't be a bad idea to invest in a suspension trainer. http://www.amazon.com/WOSS-3000-Equalizer-Trainer-Black/dp/B005CV8LBW/ref=sr_1_1?s=exercise-and-fitness&ie=UTF8&qid=1430864154&sr=1-1&keywords=suspension+trainer Happy training!
  20. I'm not colourblind, but that's pretty damn cool. Yay science.
  21. I think the biggest problem is actually learning skills. Even if it didn't require you to get hit (like in older FFs) and just required you to kill the enemy that knows the skill, it would force you to run dungeons and stuff just to learn abilities. And if you don't have a certain set of skills you will be gimp. As if grinding for gear wasn't tedious enough. Not to mention, there are very few interesting enemy abilities, and we most likely wouldn't get the most interesting ones. I don't see it as different at all to having to run dungeons to get the best gear for your level, or to get the drops for zodiac weapons. If anything, it would simply serve to lengthen the 'shelf life' of lowbie dungeons, which is something SE have been obviously keen on. BLU got many of the interesting and signature FF moves in XI, they were simply adjusted for the player character in terms of strength and potency.
  22. Still heartbroken we won't be getting BLU. It was my favourite class in FFXI. I don't buy SE's reasoning for it, because I think that with some thought it could be a wonderful addition to the game. It would be best like the FFXI set up: learn the abilities by hunting enemies, and pre-equip a skill set with allocated points before a duty. BLU could thus perform any of the three roles admirably, but not quite as well as jobs dedicated to those roles. It's real strength would come from buffs/debuffs unique to the class. Oh, well. I can dream.
