Glancing back at the man in the waters, then to the two Elezen, she shakes her head. "At this point there is nothing much I can do. It is up to him to let his past float away on the healing waters." The liquid filling the tub still gives a faint light golden. Smoothing out her yukata she forces a weak smile. "Come, gentlemen, I'm sure this is the last thing anyone wants to see." The Highlander is battered, bruise, but whatever she had put in the water is healing his physical damage. Walking further down a 'hall' T'rahz replies," I'm both a physical, and mental, healer. Aether manipulation has the ability to heal a physical wound, but I use a form of it for mental ones as well. Along with extensive therapy sessions about unlocking your past, and dealing with unresolved issues that trouble your soul. Even the tiniest seed of negativity can hide in your subconscious, and fester into a wild forest of terrors, and torment. I help people deal with it." Arriving at another sheet she opens it, and steps inside her make shift office. It is nothing fancy. Three chairs, and a desk poorly constructed by a piece of plywood laid over the ends of two crates. Sitting behind her desk she does smile genuinely now. "Please take a seat, and tell me what I can do to help. I assume this isn't just a social call." Her hands fold neatly on the surface of her desk.
-
The clerk is shifting through some papers, and on both sides of the desk are parchments piled high. Grumbling under her breath about things never being where they should be she does not take notice at first to the two Elezen males approaching. Vaughn speaking actually startles her, making her drop a few papers, and she squeaks in response. "Oh my I am terribly sorry that I did not see you there." She laughs nervously while patting her chest to calm her racing heart. "Oh yes, Doctor Vashka! Sweet lady she is. Come with me, she's in the back." Walking out from behind her desk the Midlander woman ventures down a make shift hall made of boxes, and fabric draped over the top, passing open doors where if peered into the men (if they followed) could possibly see the wounded and sick laid out on cots. The clerk hums a little tune, and after entering a second hallway (the structure is several tents fastened together) she pulls back the sheet draped over a doorway. Inside the tent at least fifty candles are scattered about the room. Wicks lit, the small flames dance, and cast their illumination over the pool of water. Inside is a man, almost nude save for the black swimming trunks he wears. Scars, the result of a whip's caress, line his body. Standing at the tub side is a Seeker woman. Auburn hair glistening in the light of the candles. Pouring some liquids from vials into the water, the warm fluid filling the tub begins to glow a light gold. "I want you to envision those darker memories of your master. Compress them all into a tight little ball, and put the ball into a cobalt box. Lock it shut, and hide the key some where in your soul. Imagine you are in a river now, and these healing waters will banish the box. Place it into the river, and let the currents take them away." Her voice is rather soft as she speaks to the Highlander man. "Doctor Vashka, these two gentlemen request your presence." Auburn ears hearing the clerks voice. "Just keep focusing, Ink." T'rahz coaxes to the scarred man. Wiping her hands on a towel striking verdant irises drift to the door way, and she smiles warmly. Stepping out of the room, and closing the sheet she looks over the men (should they be standing there). "I'm Doctor Vashka. Is there something I can help you two gentlemen with?"

Do not go Padjal. Not only are they very rare, but it just makes it seem like you want your character to be a special snow flake. Wanting to be different isn't bad, mind you, but just...do not go this route. People will give you flack for it. In other games I have played when there are those that play a rare race/class/etc there are some in the gaming and role playing community that avoid the 'special snow flakes'. I am in no way saying people are Balmung are like this, but you never know.

What is your character's Virtue/Vice?
Chika Ito replied to WanderingWordsmith's topic in Character Workshop
For Chika Ito; Virtue; Her virtue would most certainly be Charity. She is the mother of five children, so the motherly instincts in her are incredibly strong. Seeing others suffering, or in need of something, strikes a cord inside of her heart. So sometimes, without even having to think, she'll give something of hers up. If she sees a homeless person in Ul'dah she will donate some clothes from her business to them, along with a blanket and pillow, and give them some gil to get food for a week or to use it on an inn room. Chika knows she can make her money back easily with her business. So it has little value to her. Why stuff her face, and line her pockets, and not care about others who are less fortunate? Vice; Now we are at the interesting flaw in her personality. Her vice is very much Lust. Specifically sex. When she was seventeen she was forced to work in a brothel by her own mother's hand. While she hated having male clients she adored the women, and sort of became hooked on intimacy. This has lead to some pretty low lows in her life, but this is also how she came about finding someone whom she gave reason to to leave the prostitute business. In the end it was ultimately her vice that actually helped her straighten herself out, and find some happiness in this life. -
Multiclassing IC or: How I Avoided Becoming God
Chika Ito replied to ZindelloTarantella's topic in RP Discussion
I'm going to agree with some of the people here that just because you gain an out of character class/job doesn't mean you have to carry it over in character. I've encountered several folks who have done this. When you obtain so many extraordinary skills, and abilities, (and can basically do every single thing that is epic and amazing!) it actually makes people feel very discouraged, and intimidated. In my time playing this game I have spoken to several people who avoid people who have a lot of powers/abilities/skills/etc because they feel like their character isn't good enough. I think it was pointed out earlier in this thread that if someone has so much power compared to someone who has so little the person with the incredible powers and skills will always be picked. In turn pushing the 'less skilled' person aside. I don't think characters should have immense kick ass powers, because sometimes it leads to the attitude of 'You cannot hurt my character! I'll squish yours though ' I've seen it in other games. So I understand peoples hesitance to include over powered characters. Chika has been training as a pugilist for about twenty-three years, and an arch for seventeen years. These classes go hand in hand within the game, and obviously you have to know how to protect yourself if you are disarmed. She's does fairly well in both, but there is always room for improvement. Making your character have only a few, or limited, powers/skills/abilities includes room for character development. -

I'm pretty sure if you line her pockets some Chika wouldn't mind helping you find a way to smuggle your supplies, and such. She owns a business after all ;D -
balmung Seeking slavery themed connections
Chika Ito replied to DreamedReality's topic in Chronicled Connections
Chika would certainly help in any way that she can When she worked in the brothel she was treated much like a slave is, but she got free of the life. If she finds out she'll probably offer to help. I also have my alt, T'rahz Vashka, who is a therapist and is going the route of a healer. So she could possibly help tend to wounds both the physical, and mental along with emotional. -
Chika rides two mounts; Runt is her Chocobo. When she was out hunting one afternoon she found a nest with a baby Chocobo in it, and the mother's body was close by lifeless. So Chika picked up the little runt of a Chocobo, and took him back to her tribe. He got his name for when she had found him he was very small. Her relationship with him mingles between love and hate. Runt is fiercely loyal to Chika, and extremely protective of Chika's kids. Especially the baby. His loyalty, at times, is pushed aside when he sees butterflies. Butterflies are his favorite thing in all of Eorzea! Sometimes Chika wonders if he lacks a brain, because he isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. What he lacks in intelligence he makes up for in heart. When she is having a bad day Runt will stick by her side constantly, unwilling to leave her. And then there is; Ryker is her Coeurl. Chika's family prides itself on raising Coeurl kittens, and breeding the Coeurl when they become of age. Ever since his birth Chika has taken care of him. Holding him, bathing him, even bottle feeding the kitten. Hand raising him ensured that he was only loyal to her, and it created a close bond with the overgrown feline. Unlike Runt, Ryker is highly intelligent. Often can be seen by the look in his eyes when he is trying to work something out. Much like the Chocobo this Coeurl is overly protective of Chika, and the kids.

Who would be your character's voice actor?
Chika Ito replied to TheLastCandle's topic in Fun Prompts
ZaIRQAIgO3o For Chika it is Yoruichi Shihoin from 'BLEACH' English dubbed ^^ -
Chika enjoys women, a lot, due to her sexual orientation. The men in her tribe are more subordinate than the women. Yet due to these two factors she finds them to be about equal. A woman can be as strong as a man if she sets her mind to it, and a man can be just as smart as a woman. It all depends on the situation in her mind.

Yea a friend of mine was trying to apply earlier as well, and encountered the same issue.

My mind is still rather clouded with the agony rocketing through the left region of my rib cage. It radiates through my chest cavity any time I breathe in, or out, making everything uncomfortable. When my savior puts me on their back I don't fight or argue. Right now I just want to collapse, and fall into a coma like sleep. My face goes to nuzzle into the back of the Dragoon's shoulder. Ebony ears flick hearing the demands of the guards, and I become aware of their presence. Lifting my face from the stranger's shoulder red wine irises flick among their faces. An annoyed breath escapes, my tongue clicking along the back of ivory enamels. Fur along the length of my tail bristles outward, the appendage flicking back and forth. I attempt to slip off Inessa's back, and should it be a success, I would travel around the criminal, and stand between the guards and my savior. A favor to repay a debt. I cannot stand being in debt with people for I always pay my dos. Scratching the back of my head with my right hand, fingers twist into the ebony and claret fibers. "Now see I cannot just stand by here, and well let this Inessa person to be whisked away into custody." What the fuck am I about to get myself into? My mind is telling me no. Logic is screaming in frustration for I am about to do something rather risky, and reckless. "This person saved me. For that I am in their debt, and I pay my dos always. So we're in a really touch bind." Ears swivel on my forehead, and I sigh. Slipping out from my mouth is the tip of my tongue. Moistening the skin I let out a rather sharp, and high pitched whistle afterward. Charging swiftly from around the right side of the house is a colossal Coeurl. Elongated talons grip onto the soft earth, and the mass of tones muscles can be seen rippling under his skin. Black lips curl over long fangs, that glisten from saliva. Around the left of the house a big fat chocobo, and a rather smaller one, rush toward the guards. I don't give them the opportunity to back down. The morbidly obese yellow bird goes to blow through the guards in hopes of knocking them all over. Should it be a success the Coeurl would be upon them. Snapping its jaws wildly, slashing at the air near them, but never going in to hurt them "Get out of here Inessa." I demand, the normal sized Chocobo coming to me.

You should consider going here; http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page and making a character profile for yours It's this huge directory on characters from different role play servers. It's a wonderful way to flesh out your character.

My gaze turns to the bloody mess laying on my back porch that was once a towering wall of meat, flesh, and tendons. Crossing this person would not be wise. Their speed, how they wield their weapon, it wouldn't end well for someone unarmed, and wounded. "I understand." I do considering where there is one pirate there typically are more lurking around. Grasping onto the offered hand I pull myself up, but every time I move or breathe there is extreme discomfort. "There are two men in the study. One I smashed in the fact with a stool, the other burned his eyes with hot coffee." I whisper," I don't know if either have recovered yet." No sense in catching my savior off guard, and them possibly killed all on account I failed to share knowledge.

I have only enough time to glance over my shoulder to see the Roe trying to recover before his body is cleaved in half. Blood and entrails splatter over the wooden porch beneath him, and all I can think is how much effort it will be to clean up. Whatever, whoever, did it was rather swift. But I can see the figure now stepping closer to the shop, halberd in hand, crimson fluid painting the weapon. Fight or flight is the urge that burns in my veins. With fractured ribs I doubt it'd be much of a fight. Without my bow and quiver, or bone fists, all I have is my battered body. Much good fists will do against a Dragoon. Sitting up to press my back against the wall, the person is upon me, aiming the spear head at me. Really? Why would I be robbing my own shop! Brows furrow a little together, but I sigh softly. "Friend, not foe. I'm the one being robbed." And the one getting the shit kicked out of me by a Roe. I don't allow that last part to leave my lips.
