I would suggest we just focus on the wedding and having fun getting to that. Then if RP chemistry works for some it would be great. And any follow on is a bonus for me, however much people are willing to put in. I'm just hyped at the response and nervous for their big day. If folks want we can do some family gathering RP before just to get over first time meetings. In fact that sounds sensible so will do.

That's a good question but I don't think it's the good place to launch a debate x) . We use marriage/wedding as a generic term here. I expect it is more a pledging of their eternal love for each other yada yada

Reluctantly and after a hard look in the mirror I won't be running this. I think I had opportunity to do so but IC and OOC developments in the game pushed me in the opposite direction. I now find myself focused on more direct story RP. So I would be happy if someone else wanted to take the concept/idea etc.. and make it their own. I would even be happy to help. I have a spreadsheet with those interested as well as routes for using Costa or the new housing area. Happy to give those over if that helps.

My preference is to turn nameplates off. However, I think the RP tag is a nice one, otherwise they are just letters, so if you picked LOL and that is not your company initials I will expect you to be representative of those letters.

Just to expand as people are adding more. Is their griefing of RP - Yes, I have seen some but not more than I have seen in other games. Worst for me was about 30min of a group standing over us messing things up. DF - mostly nice people but you have to accept you may be with people of a completely different gaming mindset. If you want to RP a dungeon form a group, maybe try the ne Party Finder for RP?

Howdy and welcome! I think you will find the RP community quite open, check out the forum for places to RP and events. Find some of the RP linkshells (LS) that may suit you and maybe even check out a few Free Companies (FC - like Guilds). Lore wise there is less that LoTR (clearly), and I would say there is a main story arc and superficial to light lore on things. This allows you to not be tied down so much and gives room to fit your story in from mundane to epic. One area you might want to read up on is the race lore, especially naming.
