Where has it gone.. Some have left Some have returned but what was there is no more Houses.. many houses and more coming The grind ... the game is grind based, which is a time sink. So people will go grind rather than "hanging around" What can you do RP in hotspots (towns, inns) Events - check out this forum for events Link Shells - find some RP ones, though I have all but given up on these Free Company - probably the best option, band together with like minded folks Always be ready to do some casual RP as you go about things, I try to be at least semi-IC and you do get fly-by RP chances. And make it easy to RP with you, have some opening lines, something to share, show interest etc..

It was good to do a few runs at his Titan'ness. Us the bunch of RPers holding our swords by the wrong end did good. ... well anyhow, improvements from early wipes to progressing to heart consistently and a few time getting beyond. That coupled with a really nice bunch made it actually a pleasant experience. It was about as opposite form PuG group rage than you can get.

She would have some ideas around doing this with a cooperative subject, sort of reverse alignment of the energy flows in their body. But for an offensive spell approach, she would not know.

I can't offer you Thaumathigamywotsit insight as Nebbs' magical learning is non-standard too. But I can offer confused interpretations and half baked theories based in alternative approaches. It may not get you where you want to go, but could offer a stop along the way. So feel free to involve Nebbs, and take what she says and disregard it, use it as hotchpotch magic theory stew, or maybe she is absolutely right and kissing frogs does make Princes. *Warning* Nebbs is likely to come with a more practical magical practitioner that could talk sense.

Great idea, I have seen some so far and it seems to work well. I'd be happy to help, though my character is more in the "alternative" approaches to things which could help those who just want to know how to pop that heal spell without all the theory (fits for xclass skills IC).

Gender does not matter... stereotypes and generalisations of genders probably does. So enjoy the RP, accept the disbelief. If it does go further than chatter an OOC conversation is useful to establish boundaries. If it goes even further or gets weird .. you should have some concerns (irrespective of their gender). And remember misunderstanding could also be due to other things like culture and language. [edit: You might ask where the head of the person who tipped you off was.. it seems they were assuming something about your intent... maybe?]

Thanks for the pointers.. Balmung's Finest I left as I needed more space for RP andit was not active on PvE at that time, that may have changed I will check it out, thanks. RP types = Impromptu, Free form , LFRP groups, help on RPing dungeons etc..

Looking for help to find some linkshells for RP mainly and some PvE. I would appreciate if anyone knows of any that they could suggest? I have for quite a while had a full linkshell list and had to prune it to fit things in. Yet for some time activity has declined until now there is zero activity and I'm looking at silent communities. Any suggestions/help muchly appreciated.

I would not sweat it, just treat it as a more specialised role. Bard.. why would that be so rare no one had ever seen one? Paladin.. they are all over the place Summoner and Scholar just seem to be more specialised Arcainists The others I have not played so much so won't comment. Oh and I won't mention people playing multiple Jobs.

I supose firstly it should not be "the" legendary weapon from the in game story. I could be some other epic weapon from your own story, and after all in RPing if that weaves into your character and their experiance all the better. Second I would say less is more in terms of RP. While it is nice to wear the top end gear it can be both common looking (everyone has it) and over the top visually. So with the introduction of glamor I would suggest finding the style and look for the character and the weapon(s) that suit and going with that. All my main job/relic sets are glamored to a less epic RP look. On the Relic Weapon - My Bard story has her inheriting her Farther's bow and I was going to use the relic for that. But she has still to get there. I may still do that or find a better look. In the meantime she has been using a mundane looking shortbow, and now the top Malestrom GC bow glamored over the relic.

I love the idea, I love action aimed RP. If you were to make a LS around this idea I would definately join. Though I am mostly full up RP wise if there were some "daft ideas" I am sure I could drag somone along... "Hey there is a group poking into Nym, come on Ilwe get your bow and lets make a picnic of it.... No you wont need your sun block, but a chain shirt might be handy against stabby knives." Nebbs (Nebula) is mostly a bard/witch helping with unsanctioned Pirate activities from Limsa, so is quite "freelance" in her work.

I would join. Just about all the PvE & RP LS I am in or were in dried up. I may not be at end game yet as I RP a lot but I can Tank/Heal/DPS most of last patch stuff. As UK based I also find PF is dead most of the day so my PvE at the moment is DF Pug groups that is 90% fail, even on basic stuff.

Since we are doing hugs. I wonder which blue bird Ilwe likes best?

Yes I do, and talk to NPCs, and chatter in RP LS.
