Hmmm tricky. I have had some experiences that started out exactly like this of late. When I mentioned IC I was very much in a relationship they did some IC moan about soul mates and then basically went off and no longer RPed. Ah well.. next? I tend to throw RP out there and see what it brings back, and accept people have different ideas. So long as it does not grate against my own RP I'm happy. Sometimes (often) there is an initial flirting as I think some want that "fix" and it is easier to press the "flirt" buttons than others. Sometimes you get someone who is a bit more obsessive about it. My approach at that point is to IC make it very clear where the lines are, and then OOC make it clear if they continue. After that, it is harassment, so blacklist. I will also say that I found some very nice RP friends through this same approach and am very lucky with my current RP romance partner. I never plan where my RP goes, but am open to them growing. Keep RPing, just develop good filters and saying No! Also.. their obsession is not your fault!

That is great! And seeing some of the "making of" shots is really nice. A cosplay loom would have pushed me over the edge

I would say active with some hubs like the adventurers guilds. Not much LS RP support I find, most seemed to dry up, but certainly some active FCs. I'm EU based, and some events even stretch to cover late night UK. In the mornings in UK though there are a lot less people on but you can still get RP if you are patient.

For Nebula i went with the harp, the Archer guild turfed her out with some old beat up harp to make her way in the world after she failed as an Archer. She loves to sing also. Now.. getting slightly out there.. she like to sing magic, and the attainment of crystals. Not sure she has thought of that as an instrument, a set of tuned Aetherite shards?

Those who make a difference, speak up and are friendly. I sometimes give it the OT when they don't have much to do (cf Titan HM) Often it is healer (as I tank a lot) or that DPS who just makes me smile.

For a safer run, good tank. This mainly keeps things in control. For surviving, good healer, so they can compensate when it goes wrong. However, for a lot of content I see eos healing and healer dpsing, especially with a good tank.

In Character you could take one of the basic introductions to magic so you get some rudimentary skill. For me that would be a good way to explain the cross-class skills. I used this initially for my Archer that had a raw untrained ability to heal (it was a tiny tiny thing like a cut), they later enrolled formally with the Conjurers and developed that raw talent. It does not have to be one of the guilds it could be a mentor, some tribal shaman or that strange fellow in your dreams etc..
