  1. If their dancers can shimmy year round without any lordosis behavior, I'm pretty sure they're menstrual based. Also who in the world would think they have barbs? How horrifying.
  2. I've typically envisioned my ninja as a Twin Blade that's inclined to kick and punch when need be.
  3. id die for an outfit based off of Tactics 2 Cid or Rosso from Dirge of Cerberus  http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Cid_%28Tactics_A2%29 http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Rosso
  4. I never got to play any of the DLC for DS2, as I'm sorta holding out for the rerelease. Been a huge fan of the series though. Started with Demon's Souls. I think Dark Souls is my favorite of the three, but Demon's had the more compelling story, and DS2 had the better refined mechanics (though I wish bleeds weren't such trash in that game). I'm absolutely psyched about Bloodborne. Miyazaki hasn't let us down yet!
  5. It could easily be explained that with the destruction and damage the Calamity caused, many conjurers devoted more of their focus into the restorative properties of their magics, and that's why the class plays a primarily supportive role.
  6. i tried toying with colors on gimp for the first time
  7. pKMibrA71LQ ive lost friends because of this song
  8. Different species can cross-breed. Resultant offspring cannot. Polargrizzlies, Mules, Ligers, etc.
  9. Yeah, this is what it comes down to for me. If you're not interested in using an established setting's framework, why even bother with it in the first place? It's rather self-defeating. There is obviously some room for messing around with all the gray areas in the lore and all, but throwing out huge portions of it instead of using what's available just strikes me as careless. If you want to play an outrageous concept, you're much better served trying to play it in a setting that actually supports it. You certainly won't get anywhere near as many people pushing back that way. You could say that for any universe. I'm trying to digest this, because it sounds like its on its way to being a good point, but I feel like there's a genuine lack of context. Is this a response to Miqote acting like Hyur or something?
  10. I usually don't let racial choice steer how my character acts or is roleplayed. It doesn't define my character; nor does being gay, tall, or a ninja. It may influence his upbringing and personality a slight bit, but he isn't a walking fireball zealot from the bowels of volcanic hell by any means. As Lohengarde, he's culturally influenced to being down to earth and hands-on and is familiar with how to earn martial coin in Limsa Lominsa and Ul'dah. Being big kind of stinks in mainly Lalafel and Human inhabited cities when it comes to finding armor and gear, but he's made friends with a number of Sea Wolves that have hooked him up from time to time.
  11. Two words: Sky. Diving. (Bungee jumping also applies).
  12. Rough would be the burly shopskeep or downstairs neighbor who's only sole pride in life and target of hard work and devotion are his bonsai plants and his five year old daughter. The series follows the main character with occasional scenes spanning over Rough and his adventures of unplanned parenthood.
  13. My boyfriend and I didn't get to see each other this week, so we were looking forward to spending this saturday together, but his work called him in to close. He's working all day saturday as well and most of Sunday. Bah. We spent last night together which was nice, though. He got a new puppy!
  14. By all means, an Ishgardian house sounds like a novel house. However, keep in mind that FC canon or not, your PC can never be a sole proprietor of the Haillenarte name and there's no stopping other companies from opening under the same name. From what it sounds like that, you simply intend to start a splintered noble group, which is more than enough clarification to avoid any, "hey you can't own that" worries people might get.
  15. Most of Rough Nomad's combat style is inspired by Philippine knife martial arts. r1CWSEAJT1M Some of it's been modified for his benefit. I want to say he's more inclined to weaving in cheap punches and lunches akin to the common street thug, but it would be easier to explain it with krav maga. The two fighting styles are hybridized to his benefit with a balanced emphasis on knife and body-oriented strikes or moves. He actually knows very little ninjutsu. vDofosaRUPc
  16. It's been feeling to me that while we mortal adventurers have the potential to tap into the skilled known as the Echo, perhaps due to natural affinity to the World's aether, which enables those with the Echo a magically inclined empathy and heightened mental fortitude, the Light and Crystal blessing was / is still an entirely separate force. No matter what the being or system is, self preservation is usually the default drive; Hydaelyn has always been aware of how sensitive and delicate it's world is, and that the Ascians, Dalamud, and whatever other forces we've had to face have always indirectly brought a threat to the Hydaelyn and the Aether. Where as Middy may have once been her means of an immune system within this, along with potential other unnamed forces, we're now in the best position to do what absent forces and creatures have been doing. We're not necessarily special nor are overly outstanding as the mortal races we are, but we're aware of what's going on and willing to lay our lives down, which is exactly what Hyd needs. The tenderness shown towards us via her words, speeches, or visions have been simply means to further convince the present organism to behave as her symbiotic protector. This blessing also has been what gave people a direct connection to the Aether so that the primals could be easily beckoned. Because Middy is potentially returning, we've served our purpose and he's now to take his default position. We no longer need her because Hyd now has a more reliable means to protect herself. Likewise, Middy knows what we've been capable of -- what the Ascian are capable of, and I think his last intention would be to ever allow us to mishandle that power, as the Ascian and Garleans might've. idk...
  17. Blackwall is actually my husband. He doesn't know it yet tho, but he will.
  18. I just assumed the Echo was a additional gift rolled into Hyd's blessing. I wonder what's gonna happen after Midgardsormr... Though i've always been big on being thrust into hopeless situations.
  19. I tried making noodles from scratch for the first time. I also made a nice, creamy Italian mushroom sauce. The sauce was great.
