*had peeked at the wiki* I'm thinking to two of them will either clash horribly or at least have an interesting meeting. Consider me intrigued.

Soooo.... *clicks tongue* I had this request.... I question my sanity now. But this request was a belated B-day gift, so.... *rolls for sanity check*

I'm not sure if I ever put one out there (and if I ever did it must be OLD), but I'm starting to think it may be a good idea. I mean, staring at a wall is fun, but I've already counted the number of bricks there are and reorganized my sock drawer like 52 times. What I'm looking for/Interested in: Overall Rhea's... ok she's a tough nut to crack (Why did I make her somewhat anti-social again?), but there are a few things that can be exploited. Merchant: The easiest thing for her, and possibly the hardest thing to work around honestly. Swordsmanship lessons: While she already has a teacher, it has been suggested she go out and try to test herself against different styles and weapons. She's in no way a master, but she's persistent at the moment. (I've also been told she's quite amusing when she's trying her hand at this). Metallurgy sponsorship: I was recently trying to start a plot where in she's funding an alchemist to create a metal that is as hard as dark steel but able to channel magic much like gold or wood. (Granted I know not everyone will accept this, but it works with the idea that certain metals channel aether for spells, harder metals are better for blades, but are poor for magic. Softer metals like silver and gold however, work well for magic, but tend to break. She wants to bypass the common practice of gilding weapons with silver and gold, which wear down and need constant upkeep, but is trying to keep this project small.) Relationships: Honestly, atm I'm not looking for romance, but friendships would be more then welcome. Anything else: Really, I'm not going to be picky, I just want to actually have a reason to talk to some of you outside of... art.

What it brings? I'm getting used to it myself, but it seems like the RPC brings friendship, insanity, and amusement... Not in that order. Hm. But welcome to the RPC none the less, just be careful about the pileup of kittens in the doorway.

Another boring intro thread you will mostlikely skip...
Zaheela replied to D'eshel's topic in Welcome Desk

....well.... I guess the corrosive properties would add some kind of acid armor effect? SOUNSYY's defense greatly rose! Seriously, though. I'm just offering the dyes as a cheap way to explain what paints are available. No muss no fuss. I'd probably use the different types of whetstones for sculpting stone material as well, in fact. It could work, especially if you consider the idea that many of the games dyes are made using crystals, which means that they have some magical properties. Though it could also be a reason why there exists only stock colors. Maybe the magic in said dyes has some negative reactions to the magic, so other colors are more expensive to reproduce (thus giving reason for an art supplier RPer to exist?)

I would figure you the dyes you use to dye weapons and gear could be re-purposed into paints as well, yes? Kinda? Leather and cloth dyes are different then paints and pigments, as well as the chemical powders used to change the color of the metal. Game wise, it's glossed over, but in real life, they are completely different. I mean, the One old fashioned way to make leather involved pigeon poo.... not a method I'm interested in recreating in game thank you. /coats leather armor in dodo-droppings. IT'S ART OKAY?!?!?!?! Art history is really fascinating. ....well.... I guess the corrosive properties would add some kind of acid armor effect?

Considering some of the wall furnishings out there, it seems that despite a very medieval feel, the actual styles of art are far more advanced, with psuedo-modern techniques (AKA SE model makers are lazy and used photoshop filters on screenshots *cough cough*). Some of the painting suggests that we at least have Oil paints, as well as the alchemical knowledge of stained glass making and such. Paints and such don't need to use rare extracts really; many paints were derived from plant sources, though there are rare shades not easily found in nature, so you could use our alchemy system as well in RP to cause chemical changes in a hue. As for runes, ICly my character sews minor wards into cloth and has a magical seal for contracts, so hiding one in a picture is far from impossible one would think.

Blinking, she nodded, "Yes. Hikaru Takeba is the current leader of the Free Company." Her fingers played with the rim of her cup, uneasy with the whole situation. Her shoulders tensed, ready to spring up and put distance between the two of them.

Mine is hardly impressive in the slightest....

Rhea's cup stopped mid sip as she raised and eyebrow, tilting her head. Her chair shook a little as the tip of her tail began to tap the leg of a chair. It was such an innocent question, but she hadn't lived in Ul'dah for so long as a business woman without taking everything on the side of caution. "My name? Rhea Zaheela. Why?" She kept her smile even and calm as she mentally mapped out an escape route. Her eyes darted to the side, though something in her mind made her stay in the chair. The warning bells weren't going off, but there was something ABOUT this woman that wanted her full attention, and yet the why evaded her.

So Along with an unfortunate payment of losing my voice for the next few days, I come back with the spoils of war...

Rhea paused, mentally rolling the question her head, before shrugging. "It could always be worse, besides, it's hard enough to read Takeba's handwriting without it being rain warp." With a wrinkle of her nose, Rhea glanced at her book. "We could be experiencing a drought instead of the rain."

Wonderful work here. :3 Another fan dancer?

Rhea fairly purred in pleasure as she took in another sip of tea, the bliss of the sharp tang of the orange and the faint spice of the cinnamon in the tea. Her ears wriggled on top of her head a she took a longer sip this time, savoring the flavors. "Hardly, the orange bring out the hidden cinnamon notes of the tea leaves and other spices in the blend. These people, or at least the owner knows his craft well." With a smile, she swirled the tea in her cup, but at the mention of the rain (and a faint crack of thunder), her smile turned into a frown. "Agreed, the rain was an unexpected complication. I had hoped to finish some of my own work outdoors, but..." She motioned offhandedly towards the door. "What can we mortal do about such things?"

Now comes the hard part, trying to get Yoshi-P to sign a copy. I expect to come back with nothing but crushed ribs.
