It wasn't so much a lore decision as a clever way of hinting to players that whatever she was, it was not like anything in Eorzea. That, and the horns covered in her veil. Instead of going full mysterious, SE decided to tease us as much as they could while still being able to cover her up. That tail was basically one giant cocktease. And it worked.

Dear Lalafells, Welcome to Shattered Shins, a linkshell for the Lalafell roleplaying community. Rudeness, bullying, spamming, using the LS to vent constantly or any other kind of behavior that falls under the category of "not nice" is not tolerated. Don't do it, man! Violating the rules will be met with a warning. Further violations will result in temporary, and eventually permanent kicks from the LS.

I find this to be a much more valid argument than "Fuck SE because they're lazy in general." I find that I won't be losing any sleep, either. Just another change to FFXIV that for some reason, despite its utter insignificance in comparison to every other change, gets the most attention for the stupidest reasons. Au Ra will not be changing gameplay in the slightest, people. It's the 3 new classes they just announced, new flying mounts, and new mechanics centered around flying that will.

Amano at least makes them colorful. That's what I like. If by colourful you mean he vomited a rainbow, polka dots, and stripes over every single design... Then yes, colourful. I'm not saying I hate the design, but if you look at it long enough, it seems a little ridiculous, to be honest. How much superfluous shit and bright colour does a character need on their armor?

Not only that, but they will often construct very creative stories behind each wound. "Oh I got it fighting a boar" says the Half-Orc fighter. "Cut my cheek wide open; had to stitch it up myself. Boar's mounting my wall, now, gaha!" I'd like to know, do your characters have scars, lost limbs, burns, or other injuries, and what are the stories behind them? Furthermore, do they cover them up or leave them bare, or in the case of lost limbs, use prosthesis or decide they're suddenly ambidextrous? Note, this includes IC scars and such that cannot be represented by the limited character creator's selections. Emotional trauma is not for this thread; only physical. Discuss away!
