  1. Kopo will show up for guard duty, while simultaneously not giving a shit about the weather.
  2. A fallacy on my part, a lot of people I've seen who want to play Dark Knight want to embrace the brooding aspect of it. I'm not a FF-fu master, so... Now, yes, WAR is about anger and rage, but thematically it still deals with a 'force from within'. If DRK did the same, they would be similar. Both dealing with internal forces, just different kinds. I'd like to see a KH style theme for DRK. Bright light casts great shadows, after all...
  3. Now you know the pains I go through with Koporo. HE IS 37 YEARS OLD. I experienced it the first time yesterday! It's terrible. Lol mine is a grown woman! -- just in a small body is all. I love when I break Kopo's age to people. I get both IC and OOC responses, and they are universally the same: "YOU'RE OLD." "Yes I am. Point?" "YOU'RE A LALAFELL." "Hey, that Roegadyn over there is 50." "YOU'RE OLD." "..."

  5. Hello, hello, hello~! Welcome to the RPC, hell, FFXIV in general! It's always good to see a new face around here.
  6. Why did it take me to post this? You guys have forgotten your childhoods. (Also, while I'm on the subject of Mermaidman and Barnacle Boy: Every Villain Is Lemons) Now then. Concerning Edgar, he's not necessarily an evil character; in fact, his moral compass tends to point towards a neutral good. The problem he has is that he ends up associated with people who are not so good-natured. Delial Grimsong is a perfect example. Edgar tends to see the good in people that most others cannot, and this lands him in a lot of trouble, because more often than not, that sliver of goodness pales in comparison to the magnitude of the person's natural tendency to do bad things, something he tends to gloss over because "hey, they have some redeeming value." Maybe Edgar just hopes that by revealing and focusing on this hidden good nature, this will somehow cause the person to perform a face-heel turn towards the light, but in cases such as Delial's, the results have been relatively mixed. Suffice to say, failure in such endeavors often causes Ed a lot of depression.
  7. Is the theme "Ways to make Jancis land on her fainting couch"? *hand on forehead* Ohh.... *fabric fluff sound*
  8. Giving up on FemRoes is liking giving up on breathing. Sure, I can make myself stop...briefly... and with effort... but then a new one comes along and... GASP. When every single FemRoe (all two of them - OH WAIT OBSIDIAN) that you've met has expressed want of extreme violence towards you or your friend or wants to kill you.... OR DEY CRAY... Well... Edgar: "Kage, you flirted with the Roes at the Missing Member, didn't you?"
  9. I'M GOING TO ROLL THE STATS FOR A FUCKINGOVEREMOTIONAL HALF-ELF BARBARIAN FROM THE BASE OF A VOLCANO WHO IS CERTAIN THEIR DAYS ARE NUMBERED
  10. Edgar has a book. This does not exactly lend itself to physical confrontation. However, as I have discovered, there is always a work-around. Edgar, like most book-carrying characters, is a spellcaster, and this opens up a wide variety of techniques for him to use, ranging from illusion, to flat out explosions. I've gained a lot of inspiration from Zexion in both KH RE:CoM and KHII: Final Mix, but I think the one with the most influence would be a certain tome-carrying anemic from the Touhou series: one Patchouli Knowledge. cPbdgNZOwGw The comparisons are easily drawn. Not only is she a flat out area nuker, but she is casual and nonchalant, wearing the same facial expression Edgar would be wearing, one that screams "Are you quite done, yet?" Also, as shown in this video, she does, in fact, smack the shit out of people with her book if they get too close, though this is obviously not the best method of defense; rather, an act of desperation (and in my eyes, thoroughly comedic). If I were to have Edgar do the same thing IC, it would have to be with the consent of the person on the receiving end that it would do ridiculous damage and be thoroughly spectacular, or do absolutely nothing at all and send Edgar fleeing as the enemy runs after him, smacking the ground with an obscenely deadly weapon. CYCQOWqwLjk But back to KH for a moment; if Edgar were given the chance to pull off some amazing stunts with his book, I would definately draw on my experiences with Zexion in KHII Final Mix. The man just fucks with you, and the book becomes more than a blunt weapon; it becomes a tool of curses and utter frustration. iW5BCmuQRYo Trapping your opponent within your book is a stretch, but I like the idea of an impractical weapon that becomes a major threat to your health by messing with you in bizarre ways.
  11. Did somebody say Raltz? What's that? Not that kind? Okay...
  12. Gods, Lili, you didn't even mention the subject of noodles! I'm sordidly disappointed. Alternate title, in working: "When women drink too much red wine." In response, I give you something embarrassing from the wedding, nice tighty whities! (Ireallyneedtotakemorescreenshots) Roegadyn in the back is like "The fuck am I doing here?"
  13. Moments where I've had Edgar flip out, but not necessarily in a way that makes sense for his character. Anger is not an emotion I am very good at portraying, and often I will request a retcon or do-over, only to be mocked for it and told "No, this is going to be canon, because we think it was appropriate." Fucking hell.
  14. Go to the doctor and get checked for Flu. I'd hate to see you suffer like I did.
  15. So for those of you not already in the know, the Lodestone for FFXIV 1.0 will be shutting down on March 31st, 2015. When this happens, all archived data including character biographies, past blog entries, linkshell profiles, and linkshell forums will become inaccessible. If you have anything being kept on the old Lodestone that you want to save, you had better get to it now while you still have the time.
