1. FFXIV: the real UFC. And punching appears to be more effective than the bullets the Maelstrom and Yellow Jackets use. nvXSHLPB1aM Merlwyb is a badass up until the giant robot made of steel shows up. Then she can't do fuck all. Why is this, you ask? Simple. That thing is the boss. YOU have to fight it. So they pull a slight ounce of realism out of their asses and say that flintlock pistols don't work well on heavily armored targets in this universe. Yes, you then proceed to punch it to death, but it works, and suspension of disbelief kicks in, because it's the Boss, and you need to be able to kill it using your current skillset. In other words, this game is realistic when it needs to be. But the same can be said about just about every other game with fantastic settings or elements. Take the FPS genre, for instance. How do you cure a million gunshots that leave you on the verge of death, seeing blood in your vision? STAND BEHIND COVER AND TAKE A FEW BREATHS. Pain, pain, go away, come again another day! Poof, the bullets never happened. Then for some reason your NPC buddy dies to a headshot to cause emotional turmoil. Realistic when it needs to be, just like our game.
2. My observations: I couldn't help but notice the double barrel revolvers that the Yellowjackets and, of course, Merlwyb use, happen to be closest to the "Flintlock" variety. A flintlock firing mechanism. The similarities to the ones used in game are too great to be coincidence. As it turns out, double-barrel, or Twelve help you, triple-barrel Flintlock is not always a good idea. In fact, it carries a modicum of risk that makes me question why they use the damn things in the first place. So, if one were to ask me how deadly these weapons are, if this game used a a lot more realism (in 1.0, Merlwyb's shots ricocheted off of a Magitek vanguard as if they were nothing, so there is some realism being applied; flintlock does not a good anti-armor weapon make), I would wager they are more deadly to the user than the target, as the risk of taking your own hand off because the damn thing DETONATED in your hand is too much of an issue to make them safe... But if they're not of the "Pepperbox" variety, I can imagine that the pistols toted by Yellowjackets and Admiral alike are simply advanced forms of Flintlock pistols, made of tougher and more reliable mechanisms and materials. That I could easily believe.
3. Don't go there, Warren, please? I see enough of this on Youtube comments. why on God's green earth would you willingly read youtube comments I. DON'T. KNOW.

5. Now for the important question - who do you help up first? xMj5Quyt6WU
6. I hope Flynt wins! Auri is not happy with Koporo ripping the tape off her ears. "Ya couldn't hear a derned thin' wit it on, ya idjit!" ... Isn't this the same Lalafell who entered the Grindstone with a broken jaw and accompanying brace? :dodgy: "I COULD STILL HEAR, DERN IT." Koporo confirmed for Applejack.
7. Kopo has already experienced the after effects of the Heirophant Tarot, t'would seem. If there will be card readings, he'd like to see what fate has in store for him, next.
8. So I decided to record myself reading some really creepy stuff. No, not creepypastas, though my first ever recording is in that vein. Have you ever heard of SCP? Secure-Contain-Protect? It's a 3000 entry think-tank of individual ideas for bizzare objects, creatures, illnesses and phenomena that range from safe to world ending, all held in check by a fictional organization. Each entry is given a number, and each entry was created by one or more people. 3000 different people potentially came up with these things. That's impressive. Anyroad, this first reading is of SCP-058's, The Heart of Darkness' speech during a fictional interview with the entity. Just the SCP, not the interviewers, because I currently lack proper SFX to play out the entire thing (it gets gory, real fast). The description of the entity on the wiki page told me the voice was supposedly that of an elderly UK man with a slight lisp. Obviously, I could not pull of an english accent to save my life, so I simply tried two different takes on it; one, with an edited audio track as to sound semi-monstrous, and one unedited, with just my attempt at giving voice to the creature. I hope you enjoy this, and any future readings I do will be posted here for your further enjoyment. 11. Okay, so what is this all about? Welp, I feel like trying out a new drawing style, something like a combination of Wak-Fu and classic animes, and I need subjects to practice on. So, I've decided I'm going to draw a few busts and such of the characters of several individuals here on this beautiful RPC who I have grown to admire. I am not giving any names. I am not giving any hints. There will not be the slightest indication of who gets a drawing until I have gone and finished it. And if I do give any indication, it will be to the person who gets it, because I need references. And in that situation, it will be in PMs, and if that person says one damn thing about it TO ANYONE and I happen to find out, they lose it. Gone. Poof. Dust in the wind. Into the shredder. All drawings will be done on a sheet of printer paper. Maybe I'll do some lineart, if I can get it to work right, but it tends to be a hassle for me, so expect mostly traditional work. I will try, though. So, subscribe to the thread, keep your fingers crossed, and maybe you will find yourself on the receiving end of a sketch by me~
12. He's right. This entire thread is a waste of time.
13. Welcome to the RPC, where we don't care if you don't approve. Shut this thread down.
14. For Koporo: A Wootz Scimitar, because he needs a glowy sword that isn't fucking Curtana. A full set of Varlet. A full set of Demon Fending. For Edgar: A Kirimu Grimoire, because BOOKS MAKE A BOOK KITTY HAPPY DAMMIT. A full set of Bogatyr's Casting. A wind-up Succubus. Because cute. A full set of Demon Casting.
15. I hope Flynt wins! Auri is not happy with Koporo ripping the tape off her ears. "Ya couldn't hear a derned thin' wit it on, ya idjit!"
16. Koporo and Flynt have a grudge match next Saturday. No weapons, just an all out brawl. I hope you're all looking forward to it!
17. Women need Faris' outfit from FFV. Before Cloud dressed as a girly girl, Faris was a transvestite dressing as a man. I'm sure this would appeal to a lot of the tomboy players out there.
18. Just for women? Yes, let's pretend the lonely guys out there don't exist. ;_;
19. Ooooh, I hope I get a bonus slot! Strength and Star are my birth Arcana! *fingers crossed~!*
