  1. I had to go to the dentist today and I took a nap, so I'm behind on the whole thing. Just started downloading, and I have 160 minutes to go. >
  2. I think I've finally decided... aNcf67dS7Gc Zexion, of Organization XIII, from Kingdom Hearts RE: Chain of Memories. He and Vexen are basically the scientists, but he has a much softer, serious tone to his voice. And, well, he puts on a display of cowardice befitting of Edgar when he panics.
  3. So we've established that sex affects a large portion (90%, even) of the roleplay community. In a way, I suppose this is to be expected. What isn't so clear-cut is how something like music affects our roleplay. Basically, the topic is thus: What role does music play in your roleplay? Is it merely for clever leitmotifs, here and there, or do songs actually go so far as to provide the lyrical mold for your character's concept and later creation, personality, and so on? Is it blood pumping through your character's veins, or musical notes from a heart beating in chords...? Is your character merely biological, or did the origins of their design render them a walking symphony? I am curious to find out.
  4. At that point (the emboldened text), you got Magic Knights confused with Mystic Knights. It's true that Magic Knights in FFIII used white magic, but then you went and mixed them up with Mystic Knights, who enchant their swords with elemental magic. But enough of this babble, we're derailing the thread.
  5. Now I feel stupid for not noticing this as FFIV is my favorite FF of all time, but he is right. Of all the classes in FFIV, Engineer is all that's left. So he/she may be on to something there. If its a healer to boot, like some odd mix of FFT's Machinist (originally called Engineer) and Chemist jobs, I know I would not be the only RW screaming. It could sort of be how Bard lacks a bit of power (only a tinny bit mind you) in exchange for having good support skills, Engineer could be a healing job, that has less healing power in exchange for a bit of DD or Support. And the last part, I would hope so, that it would be an alternate GLD, but I just don't see it at this point.... would love to be wrong though. Flaws in "FFIV Jobs" theory: Dark Knight was introduced in FFIII, not FFIV. Ninja was introduced in FFI. Both Scholars and Summoners were introduced in FFIII. Warrior/Fighter was introduced in FFI. Monk was introduced in FFI. White Mage and Black Mage were introduced in FFI. Dragoon was introduced in FFII. Paladin was introduced in FFI. Bard was introduced in FFIII. Just because some of these jobs were used in FFIV, does not mean that FFXIV is emulating FFIV to a T. One could easily say the same about FFI or FFIII or FFV, even, using the same logic presented here. And last I checked, Engineers in FFIV used hammers and axes, not guns. In fact, there was no Gun weapon in FFIV; the closest they had were bows. I have been playing these games since the original on the NES. I am not saying these jobs originated in 4, I am, through the poster on the OFs, I am saying he is correct that every job in 4 excepted Engineer has been added to this game. The only exception is WAR and SCH, which it could be said do appear in 4 as in the Scholars that help you half way through the game, and the warrior-esk dwarfs (La-HO). That with Y's comparison to Cecil in the past tell me FFIV was on his mind a bit. I didn't post that to say it was true or not, the part about Engineer was simply an interesting theory I thought I would share. Also, DRK was introduced in 2.... not 3. Leon was technically a Dark Knight, yes, but only when he was in service to the Emperor. It wasn't presented as a Job/Class, but as a plot point. I was listing when they became playable Jobs. And the first time is in FFIII, when they were called Magic Knights, before the english DS remake. http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Dark_Knight

  7. ZlrvzgMp1-c Blow away as dust, I cast you out Push you off the precipice, I have no doubt Finger on the trigger, just say when Blow away as dust, never see you again! Soul, soul, fire in my soul! Burn!
  8. Drink lots of water. Your body heals better when it's full of H2O.
  9. I'd have to say Ed's a lot like Okumura Yukio, what with his prodigal status, knowledge of demons/voidsent, and the shared "spiritual/magical" based wounds and focus on bizarre eyes in their character design. The two of them are also known for berating their lessers, though, Yukio's rage is directed at his brother, whilst Edgar simply calls out the flaws in whoever happens to be acting stupid at the time. Edgar tends to be a lot more emotional and socially awkward, however, and I'm pretty sure outside of fanon Yukio is not LGBT/T. They do have a shared thing for firearms, though. Should Musketeer be added in the future, Ed will certainly be trained in it. Dear SE, Please make this outfit for the game. Thank you.
  10. "I'm right because you're all a bunch of anime/japan obsessed faggots. Because I said so. Shut up." If the shoe fits. And the brand of this shoe is "Insane Troll Logic." This is what, the second thread you've showed up on just to insult people and call Doma theorists a bunch of Japan-worshiping zombies? Unless I haven't checked your history thoroughly enough. If you have nothing good to contribute, stop derailing the thread with your nonsense and get out.
  11. They were found in a pub! What kind of uptight health-nuts do you thing Ishgardians are that they'd be serving health potions in a bar? Damn foreigners... "You said you found them in the Observatory. It's not my fault you weren't being specific enough and the maps in Coerthas are shoddy." -Edgar
  12. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I cannot help but feel you just called us a bunch of weeaboos. http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m2a1quIzox1r6zm3i.png[/img]
  13. "They're called Ethers and Potions. The Ether is the blue one and the Potion is the red one. ...Sodding amateur mages..." -Edgar
  14. Tvtropes is your friend. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Villains
  15. Why does everyone bring up SCH as the "end-all be-all" when it comes to Soulstones? Have we totally forgotten SMN?
  16. I use the Wind-Up Shantotto as a placeholder for Ed's animated doll. It works, as the doll is considered IC to be a toy Lalafell.
  17. "Oh I won't kill you. I am not a murderer, you see. No, I will leave you broken, battered, crippled and sprawled out upon the soil in this wasteland. And then, I shall leave, for something else will catch the scent of blood and hopelessness and do that which my morals simply do not allow me to do. Yes, you will die, but never let it be said that I killed you. I am not that kind of man." Yes, each one of those is a separate trope. This is my attempt at making Edgar sound/look evil. Did it work?
  18. That's a shame. I guess I can wait, then.
