  1. My honest answer with myself, no probably not. Not before I felt that the character's story was played out. I'm immensely attached to my main and while I often think of scenario's where she would and could die I don't think I could actually kill her before her time was done and I felt that I wouldn't have regrets about it. I will say this though, that I intensely admire those who can handle being able to kill their mains, like has been said it's a very powerful storytelling device sometimes and I envy those who can wield it to an extent. Now kind of commenting on the two perspectives about if it's ok to kill your character with/without permission: I'm of two minds on this one because it is your character and the death may be for an OOC reason, you have to keep yourself happy or your RP will suffer, so maybe you just can't play that character anymore and rather than abruptly changing their personality you'd rather end them and let others remember them the way you'd want them to. Or it could be for any other number of reasons. I completely get that it's your character, BUT, on the other hand I also see the other side of the spectrum because I have been on it. While the character that my character lost DID come back, she didn't know this and when he kicked the bucket it changed her story and her completely for a time. She went from naive, friendly and hopeful to desperate, closed off, and depressed. If left that way it's possible that she could have changed completely in both personality and her story in general because she was traveling the path of very dark magic in any hopes she could bring him back. Minus all that rambling, the death of a loved one can be traumatic to your character and completely change the way they're played so yes it does affect others in a very large ripple, so I can see some people taking it as a smack in the face when you decide to kill said character. To clarify though I don't think it's wrong on either side, just that I can see both sides of the argument clearly. Not helpful but certainly my two cents!
  2. I want to commission allllll the expressions from you. ;~; They're so cute.
  3. Well he DOES drive her bonkers sometimes. ::shifty eyes:: As for Siha's, erm: :: Any enemies of the Redwings or in particular Erik. She's technically the weakest link and has elicited backlash before when she's gotten hurt. I can see her demise being less about her making an enemy and more about the fact that her death would hurt someone else who is the real target. :: Herself, because to be honest she does put herself in danger quite a bit in vain attempts to prove she's not a burden and that she can take care of herself -to- herself. One day she'll get it through her head that none of them see her that way. :: Grieving Hound, her sometimes guardian, sometimes friend, sometimes...whatever this woman really is to her. One day Hound could finally decide to kill her or she would die for Hound if the opportunity called for it. She's already refused to move out of the way of a gun for her. :: Askier, poor broken Askier. I don't see this one being on purpose but who knows! She associates with one of his main points of distress so it could very well happen!
  4. Siha had to close her eyes when the boy started to whimper and cry, she'd only wished that she'd learned the more practical arts of first aide before now, maybe she could have done more than think to bind it and clean it up. Unfortunately this was all she could think of and instead of speaking as before she reached at the end of her sleeve and ripped away the only shreds of cloth she could so that she could delicately lean forward and try to make sure the mud stayed off of the hole. Her eyes darted of course outside of their shallow prison, trying desperately to make sure that there was no harm that would come should she use her actual aether to fix the wound. Ixali roamed but she couldn't see any with an eye on her directly and so with a look to S'imba she pressed her hands lightly around the wound, careful of the pressure she put there. "Please...l-let me try to fix it..." she said in a soft tone, wincing at his pain and discomfort as well as his saddened tone. He had been so happy before to leave Ul'dah behind. She took a deep breath and shielded her hands with her coat, shifting so that she was between him and any onlookers to try and hide the fact. The soft glow that emnated likely wasn't going to be all that subtle and as much as she would have liked she knew that her magic would only heal him so far. It would stop bleeding and hopefully partially close the wound but she couldn't be sure.

  12. This one really made me think and I'm still not sure if my Vice is accurate so I sort of squashed two together. Virtue: Charity I don't think that one is a surprise to anyone, Siha would do anything to help someone else regardless of what it would mean for herself. She doesn't know why she is this way just that any kind of suffering is suffering she doesn't want to see and so regardless of danger, reputation degradation, etc. she will help someone else in need. Vice: Gluttony/Lust Neither are really in the traditional sense of the word I guess? I wasn't sure on how to define her vice but it comes down to her intense need for love and acceptance. Having been denied by her own tribe and family for years, then finally getting a taste of love and acceptance by her new 'family' has cause her to subconsciously fear being alone or going back to her previous lifestyle. I guess you could say it's taken some of her independent nature away without her realizing it and losing her family would drive her to do just about anything to save, help, or keep them.
  13. No problem! Welcome back.
  14. I don't have ST unlocked because I'm a scaredy scrub...but I could work on it. This is sadly motivating me. *fans self* So if it's alright, don't give me a permanent spot per say, I have a DRG or a WHM/SCH/SMN that could come along should you need an extra! *clings to Roen*
  15. So I wrote a thing, it's sappy and blah, but it's a 'What If Siha died' kind of thing. I'm morbid sometimes. Ahem.
  16. 8D Byrnhildr was my first server! I still have my first character on there too, I had no idea there were any RPers on there but I'm glad there are! I hope you get plenty of bites on this and if not sometimes I do hop on my Miqo'te there when everyone is gone or asleep so maybe we'll run into one another!
  17. The Wailer was kind, not at all what she'd expected from the stories of other Moonkeepers originating from the Shroud. Some held grudges but not this one. His smile seemed off somehow, as though he were only offering comfort because he didn't want her to know exactly how dire it was, but that was indication enough for her. She had seen the same smile before on the faces of those she loved when they didn't wish her to worry. Her own gaze softened in his direction, if she had known him better she might have reached out to touch his shoulder but she was afraid that it would only cause both of them undue harm by their captors. She felt her heart squeeze again, looking at the other prisoners and then the Wood Wailer again, they truly were despaired and clearly none the wise to their 'hosts' true purpose. The silly grin that broke the Wailer's face made her chest ache all the more, here was a good man, and his fate could be to die. She couldn't allow that. Some determination shone in her eyes, a quiet fire that some might not see behind soft violet eyes. She forced her own smile as he introduced himself, "Siha Xinkei, it's a pleasure despite the circumstances" she said in return before turning her attention to a struggling S'imba again. Concern flitted across her face, the male was reckless and it could be the death of him, something that she didn't think he'd mind at this point. Something haunted him but that didn't mean she'd let him go to his death, even if he despised her for it in the end, whatever it took to keep him and the others alive was worth her own personal price. Someone would come, surely, and if not there had to be a way for them to escape. The defenses around the cave weren't all that high if you didn't include the Wolves and the guards. The Camp itself however was built around them, meaning it would be an unfamiliar maze to them should they have to scatter when they were trying to escape. The corner of her mouth pulled down for a brief moment as she scanned the area of the camp, blinking before she turned a warm gaze back to the Wood Wailer and then looked to S'imba, "Freedom is not death S'imba, but we will have freedom, you just must be patient" she whispered with some conviction. If the others had lost their hope she would give them hope, if only by being that burning flame they needed.
  18. I don't know who I'll bring to the event but I most certainly am going to try and make it! Good job to all of you organizing it!
  19. Siha rides a typical Rounsey chocobo, he doesn't have a cities barding but does have some light armor to protect him. She's lovingly named him Qhota which means brother, as she's had him since she was around the age of 15 and grew up with the dear thing. He's a lively ball of feathers, fiercely protective of her, but friendly to those she seems at ease with.
  20. Well I am definitely one of the people up at those hours since I'm a bit odd like that. I'm not sure exactly how my characters could be connections but here's the basic run down on the ones I 'main' more or less. Siha isn't anything special, she's involved with the Red Wings but not actually part of them yet. Uhm. She's a magnet for trouble most of the time but she's kind enough to talk or help just about anyone without hesitation, barring her bouts of shy stuttering. She's a learning conjurer so perhaps she'll offer her services to the Gladiators someday, after all her own bodyguard is one of them! L'Tao might be another possible contact since he's a mercenary. She's an info broker in Ul'dah so it's her business to know everyone elses business and she'll sell that info to whoever wants to pay for it without question. They likely share that 'dog eat dog' attitude so it's likely they could even get along so long as he doesn't mind how flirtatious and lewd she can be sometimes. Lastly, Yuu is my other girl, she's not really anything but a big ball of destruction and chaos. She's not mentally sound and therefore tends to go around picking fights or jumping into them, she'll kill anyone, and typically is that crazy giggler with a knife you'd want to avoid in a dark alley on most days. She does try to behave herself in the city but she's not above getting into fights. Erm. I probably have more alts so if you ever want add me on Siha Xinkei and we'll chat it up!
  21. Joining the masses, the yukata's are just so cute and I think I'm never going to take it off of Siha.
