[Spoilers] 3.1 MSQ and Others Discussions
-no longer matters- replied to Kage's topic in FFXIV Discussion
I've done none of the 3.1 MSQ so far because work, but I've always been one of those people that don't mind spoilers. Anyone have a screen shot of the new Thancred? -
A lot of people have walk ups welcome/ok/encouraged in their search info, They usually are super cool with people walking right up. I know if I'm having a Public RP, and someone walks up I include them in as much as they're willing to include themselves.

Yeah Buyers beware! Gwen who is flat chested becomes a porn star when she throws this on.

We've had demon horns at the Golden Saucer for awhile now. That just means people have more horns to choose from.

Thanks for posting all of this Kage! Man I can't wait for this new content to go live!

I love the lore discussions, I may not always chime in on them but I read them. I love the amount of work people like Kage (I really don't think we appreciate how much work they do for us.) do to make sure we get all the information on game updates making RPC a one stop information site. I love a majority of the people here and have met some great new friends in game because of RPC, I think there's a very small group of people I'm not fond of, but even then I don't hate them. I love the mod team and site runners for taking time out of their personal lives to maintain this site for us, with little to no thanks. I think we forget these people don't get paid. They maintain this site for us because they love the community and the game. Over all out of 17 years of MMO gaming (98 with EQ1 ) this site is on of the best fan sites I've had the pleasure of using. The over all RP community is one of the top 4 RP communities I've had the pleasure of playing in. (Sorry all No one's been able to dethrone CoH Virtue server yet.) and honestly is the only thing keeping me in this game. So <3 <3 <3 to you guys.

Supergirl pilot wasn't awful
-no longer matters- replied to V'aleera's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
I never saw Young Justice. I was thinking of the Super Boy from the new Teen Titans comic, which suck giant donkey dong, in my opinion. Oh he ended up being the clone of the future son of Superman and Lois, and yes that book is very bad. I sat through it way to long before I dropped it. Slightly related to the OP, you should check out Young Justice. It's actually really really good. And as a fan of Superboy, yes agreed. The new 52 Superboy is pretty much something out of a very, veeeerrry bad fanfic. Then again, IMO, that describes a lot of the new 52. >_> Yes Young Justice was fantastic. As for The New 52... I really can't disagree with that. Though there was good in it as well, and they have done strides to fix a lot of the mistakes they made at launch.. but Teen Titans is still a mess, and the current Superboy is.. really the new Donna Troy of DC with confusing backstory of what the fuckness. Sadly both Marvel and DC seem so out of touch with story telling and character growth these days with some gems mixed in of course, but Creator Owned comics are the way to go atm. -

balmung I challenge you, FCs of Eorzea!
-no longer matters- replied to Riik's topic in Chronicled Connections
One can serve a nation without being their soldier. Like in the main scenario quests, the player does plenty of work for the Coerthan knights, thereby 'serving' them. Riku served Ishgard by proxy, but still served Ishgard. I never said he was an Ishgardian soldier, I never said he was accepted into Ishgardian society. Secondly, whilst I may have skimmed through a lot of the job quest dialogue, I saw no mention of the player being a Gridanian dragoon in the job quest. Granted, I reached 50 dragoon BEFORE 2.0 so things may have changed in the quest. Perhaps I missed something or perhaps that was something added in after ARR, whatever the case, Riku was still a dragoon, and he still served Ishgard, so my opening post does not change. The player (Warrior Of Light) is a special case as is Tataru, they are guests of one of the top noble houses, and The player is a renown hero that helped stopped the Dravians from getting into Ishgard and destroying it. They do not employ or accept outsiders in Ishgard just because "reasons" look around the city, talk to npcs that have flavor text. Ishgard is an extremely xenophobic closed off society. At the end of the day like I said in an earlier post you do what you want people are trying t give you suggestions to help you find people that will accept you easier, a child "looking" Lalafell claiming to have served Ishgard is going to be something a lot of people are going to have a very hard time accepting. No one is telling you this to hurt you or berate you, they're trying to help you. -

1) Lalafell should be able to tell each others' ages, so age appearance does matter between lalafell. As for Riku's actual age, I consider that to be backstory-plot-based spoilers. 2) Race doesn't matter during the dragoon job storyline. If a lalafell can become a dragoon in the job quest, a lalafell can become a dragoon through RP. There is no lore more canon than the game itself. And whilst I'd never claim my character has the same 'specialness' to them as that storyline insinuates, Riku has had the capacity to wield a lance skillfully enough to be picked up by the knights of Coerthas. And as the knights in coerthas serve Ishgard, Riku did by extension. Furthermore, back then, I'd seen plenty of people RPing as dragoons in full-armour. Whether or not this fits the RPC standards nowadays, who knows, but that was the way of things. 3) Riku's name is also related to spoilers. I'm not stupid enough to have not thought about naming stuff after playing FFXIV since... 1.6-ish. I'm just going to chime in on one thing here, keep in mind I am in no way telling you what to do, you do what you want and all that rad stuff. While I'm sure anyone can find any PiS reason to be any class. The lore in Ishgard is pretty Ironclad, There's really little to no way you'd be a Dragoon in service of Ishgard as a Lalafell, hell Hyur's have a hard enough time being taken seriously there. In my opinion I'd cut the Ishgard part off though. Sure you could have somehow become a Dragoon, somehow... but it likely wouldn't be in service to Ishgard. like I said in the end do what you want, but being a Lalafell in the employ or service of Ishgard (outside of maybe and this is a stretch but it could work. Outposts such as Camp Dragonshead where they do hire outside Sellswords.) is a stretch a lot of people will find very hard to swallow. -

Super Boy never became Superman. He's an entirely different character who is as angsty as he is irrelevant. Incorrect, Superboy in the Golden and Silver Age of comics was in fact the adventures of a young Clark Kent. The Superboy you are referring to is Conner Kent he is actually a clone of Clark Kent and Lex Luthor, he was introduced in 1993 (Maybe it was 94 I don't feel like wiki-ing), and as of the New 52 he's the clone of the future psychotic son of Superman and Lois Lane. The more you know. Actually, the one I was thinking of doesn't have any Kriptonian blood in him. He uses some kind of kinetic manipulation ability to simulate super strength. He can't even fly and he's super angsty about people comparing him to Superman and his abilities being a "curse". Oh poor baby. Having superhuman god-like abilities is SOOOO hard. That one actually does still have Kryptonian blood he's the watered down version of the clone the used in Young Justice, there's never been a Superboy that wasn't realted to Superman in some Fashion. However there has been a Supergirl that was an alien called Matrix, that had no relation to Superman. -

Fought Garuda for the First Time...
-no longer matters- replied to Madda's topic in FFXIV Discussion
Hmm? No. All but the chest piece is from the lvel 45 quests. So you can get headpiece, hands, legs and boots. According to the WHM quest, the quest rewards of gear is all Level 50. SO even if Madda did get them, it'd be useless. You get level 45 versions and 50 versions (since 3.0) Madda of everything except chest. -

So that means I'm a trash WAR for these people because I don't like sitting on 5 stacks of Wrath for too long and use Inner Beast and Steel Cyclone, and I also use Foresight... I also used CDs on every pull as a DRK. I forgot actually playing your class makes you bad somehow. I usually counter those people by sayin.. I'm sorry I'm not lazy? -

Still sounds like the tank not managing CDs to me, but that ^ could also be a thing! -

Sounds like your tank wasn't using cds on his tank buster (the room wide AoE) that thing hurts if you don't time the use of them. That's the only reason to wipe on that fight outside of dps not being able to dps the adds in time. So likely it was your tank, especially if she was taking huge damage the whole run. Good Gear can't make up for not managing CDs (also was she in defiance or Deliverance?) while it can be done, I do not recommend fighting that boss in deliverance other than the add phase. -
Coming in 3.1 I believe. You now I'd love that for Mages too. I've always wanted a caster class that didn't need implements to cast and just casted stuff. closest I ever got was The Secret World where you get Talismans that hang on your waist or back.
