  1. Short screenshot dump. Grindstone shot from a few weeks ago. One of the first recorder breakers. So many people that half the names didn't show up with my laptop. This was one of the other recorder breakers. Screenshot of John and Khuj'a. IC: Khuj'a found out a couple days before this about John dealing with a corrupt/voidsent control healer that had injected John using a dagger dip in void blood. The pair were trying to find a way to either destroy the infection or block it from spreading. Khuj'a place an aether dam around John's left arm. John, Khuj'a, and Titor. IC: John was rescue after the voidsent Fabrellet (the elezen soul was already eaten by the voidsent) caught him. Khuj'a telling John about treatment to use on Kit's book so it wouldn't get destroy but John was too drain to really discuss the details, only telling Kit that it was for her own good. He has been asleep more then he has been awake, only finding enough strength to send word to Warren, Sei, and Howl that he was alright before falling back to sleep. John with void infection. This is just to show how bad it was before they bottle the voidsent and broke the dagger that was used to infect him. His aether has been fighting the infection (it's no longer on his face and neck and he's breathing a lot easier now that it is clearing from his chest/lung) so he's been sleeping for most of this time as his aether tries to recover even as it's fighting the infection.
  2. John receive his letter but is still recovering from his run in with the void control Fabrellet. I'll have the screenshot posted up so you guys will know how bad it was right before the dagger was broken. He is healing and finally work up for a bit to send letter to Warren, Sei, and Howl to let them know he's alright before going back to sleep. He woke up completely last night to find Jancis letter on the night stand beside the medbay bed. Wish I could attend but his family doesn't get together often and the extra couple of hours will be a nice addition to my paycheek.
  3. For John he gets drunk and he ends up in someone's lap telling them how nice they are. His other quirky habit is that if he is sound asleep and someone sits down beside his he'll latch on to them and cuddle but the moment he wakes up and realize what he is doing then he'll dive away from the an apologize about doing that if it's a stranger. If it's someone he knows then he'll slowly pull away unless they tell him that they are ok with him cuddling them.
  4. Kestlona didn't touch the wheel just yet, looking over at the hyur wearily. She slowly approached the wagon and the hyur. "I need to check your wound," she said, keeping her guard up as she search for a first aid kit and the couple of potions. "What I wouldn't give to be a healer right now." Not sure if the hyur was conscious or not. "Going have to take those out." She came around to drop down beside the hyur. She has in her hand a healing potion and in the other is a box with bandages.
  5. Dang it, I'm going to miss it after all. One of the guys has a family reunion and ask me to cover the last part of his shift. So I'm not getting out of work until 6:45 pm.
  6. Kestlona eyes widen at what she was seeing. "What in the seven hells?" she said. She could feel her jaw drop as the stranger pulls his hand away from the female miqo'te's head. If she didn't know better she would swear that the crystal he was hold in his hand was some form of materia. Then the hyur was falling backwards into the wagon. Scooping the girl up into her arms the seawolf stood up and reach for her private jacket, wrapping the jacket around her, and settling her next to the wagon beside the hyur, after she remove the coins from her jacket. Kestlona move over to the hyur, placing her fingers against his neck, and giving a sharp look to the other. "Ya better be still alive?" She also slip the Gil back into the pouch. "Ya a stubborn one. Told ya thata ya did't need to pay me." With a sigh, she turn her attention to the bursted wheel. "Can't call Papa. He'd be asking all kind of questions." She wasn't sure if the hyur was awake or not. "Maybe can rig up something to get us ta Wineport." She rummage through the back of the cart, trying to find something to fix the wheel. She also pull out a couple of oranges and some of the fish. She set up the cook stove and set some fire shards into it, so she could feed the pair while she try to fix the wheel.
  7. Kestlona is about to pull back and is stop by the hyur words. "What are ya doing?" she question. She stands back watching the pair. It is only after what he is doing wipes the anger from her mind. With a quick move she catch the female. "She's nothing but bones," she whispers. Kestlona's face soften even as she looks unsure of what was being done by the hyur.
  8. Kestlona only has a second to call out a warning to the hyur before the throwing knives find new homes in the man's arms. "Twelve!" she curse. She moves, jamming her weapons on her hands. "Ya fool," she said, "ya trying ta kill yaself." Even as the hyur reaches for the knife, she's launching a fist into her side, while trying to keep an eye on him. (I'm find with what you might have plan. Sorry if this is rush, posting at work.)
  9. The wheel broke the moment the tomahawk hit it, throwing the cart at an angle, one of the produce crates getting thrown out, and causing the chocobos to start shrieking. Kestlona caught hold of the pole that held up the covering over the seat before turning toward the stranger in the back of the cart. "Ya alright?" she ask, her eyes shifting over the hyur to make sure he hadn't been injury. She jumps from the seat, moving to see what had cause the wheel to break, and spotting the tomahawk embedded into the broken wheel. She curse under her breath, "Ita was going so well..." she mutter, eyes scaning the road behind her through the rain. Behind them, a miqo'te, in about or worst shape then the hyur in the back of the cart. Her mind began to work, was the hyur in with the miqo'te, or just an odd bit of luck. No, he would have try to subdue her if that was the case. "If ah tell ya to run...then go..." she whisper to the hyur. Kestlona held up her hands, moving to place herself between the miqo'te, and the cart. The miqo'te would be able to see the pugilist's weapons at her hips. "Nowa ah don't have much ina way of gil," Kest said, keeping her eyes on the other female, "but ya welcome to it, ifna ya go on ya way."
  10. John smile a small smile as the young boy flex his fingers. "'hanks, Mistar," he said. The older woman standing behind the boy smile as well. "The bone in his arm is heal but he should rest..." John said, standing up, "and stay away from trees with old limbs." He chuckle as the boy made a face at him. "I'm glad I was in the area looking for medical herbs." "Ah told him and told him not to be climbing that old tree." She gave her grandson the 'look'. He laugh then, about to reach of aether to teleport him back to Ul'dah, when he hear the yelling coming from the village. The blue/purple hair miqo'te pick up his bag, "I should go and see what's wrong." As he approach, he could see a crowd was gathering around the tavern, and he tried to find a way through the crowd. "Excuse me, sorry...can you let me through...thank you, I'm fine." He finally got through the crowd, taking in the sight of four other people. He recognize the thin looking Hyur and the Au Ra, though he didn't know who the other two were. "Lady Autumn...Sir Khyran?" he asked, then his healer eyes settle on the the Midlander being held up by Autumn. "Oh, no..." he said, already moving to the group. "What happen..." He could feel the aether vibrations gathering around his glove hands, which would be alight in green aether to those watching him approach.
  11. Kestlona reach out, closing his fingers back over the coins. "Nah, ya keep it. Not take good Gil when it looks like they need it more." She pulls her hand back and turns her eyes back to the road. She rummage under the seat, pulling out a small box, and setting it next to her. "This is what ah brought, ifna you don't mind dry fish and oranges." In the back of the cart, he would find an Ul'dahian private jacket thrown into the back. He would be able to see a patch on the shoulder, a falcon in flight, red as sunset...or blood. A notebook can also be seen just under the jacket. "So whata brings ya to this part of La Noscea?" she ask, making conversation.
  12. Kestlona offer up a smile to the cool and detached expression that she was given. "Ah, just some supplies to Wineport. Mostly fresh fish and some crystals to help 'em with wine making." She points toward the back of the cart, where ice shards were pack around fish, and also several crates of produces. "Papa ask me to deliver them to Wineport on the way back to Lisma." She move over to allow him to climb into the front next to her, unless he wanted to sit with the food stuff in the back. "Brought some extra food while in Costa so help yaself is ya hungry." She gave him a smile. "Look like ya could use a few good meals on ya." "Names Kestlona Guhtgeiswyn," she says. "Nice ta meet ya."
  13. A laugh, and the sound of chart wheels on dirt can be heard. "Really, Papa, it's been quiet," a female voice can be heard in the distance. "Next time, get one of the boys to do the run up to Wineport." As the cart comes into view, a female Seawolf can be seen driving the chart. Her hand is at her ear, tilting as she listen to something on the other end. "I can handle myself but once I'm back, I have to head for Ul'dah." She smile. "Ah, I'll be careful. Yes, I love ya too." She settle back in the seat, direction the two Chocobos on up the path. It took a moment to spot the figure moving along the road. Far to thin for her liking and she had extra. "Hey, you..." Kestlona call, making the chocobos pick up the pace. Once she caught up, she slow the chart down. "Ya, need a lift?"
  14. (ooc: This is the start of a FC event that will be going on today with Zero Division. Wish me luck as this is the first time for me to do such an event.) John slip into the nesting area of the ants just past Cutter's Cry. 'John, this is unwise...' Kit's voice said. He agree with her, not one of his greatest ideas. But he had to scout the area before he face Fabrellet in open combat. Find the best places to have the others to hide, in case he didn't make it. He wanted to make sure that Fabrellet didn't leave this place to carry on whatever it was that the void was making him do. 'You should at least call Titor or Warren.' "I know...but I have to have a plan for them," John said. What worry him was how Fabrellet didn't realize what was speaking to him. "I wish I had more information on what turn him into this..." 'I think he was already mad when you and him meet.' Kit was becoming more and more unease. 'We should leave here. Even the ants are restless.' He could see it, the clicking and movement of the ants in the area. Something was upsetting them, far more so then they usually were. "Just one more place to check and then were out of here. I'll call Titor and meet him and the others at Black Brush Station." He made his way up to the raise that over look Cutter's Cry and the ant colony. No footprints...and no tall void control Hearer. "Ok, so he isn't here yet. I'll call and let them know. 'Just hurry...' John reach up to the linkpearl just as a stone spell hits him in the back. "Zero...Fabrellet...need help now." Before he can say more the sleep spell hits, two steps forward as the spell drag his mind down into darkness, and the voices over the linkpearl fading into nothing. **** Fabrellet's grin was dark and twisted as he watch the miqo'te move up the raise. 'He' was hiding in one of the ant entrances, his aura keeping the creatures away. Once the miqo'te had move pass, he slip out, feet silent as he follow, and came up behind him. He smile, feeling the hate that was so delicious, and 'they' had feed on it for a long time. Soon they would have more...more to feed on, and more bodies to control. It would not be long before they would throw open the gate way for the rest of their kind to leave the void. He watch as the hand reach up to tap at something on the ear and Fabrellet cast Stone at the miqo'te. He cursed at the other out a message out, quickly casting sleep at the miqo'te before he could tell whoever he call where he was at. "We musssst hurry...." Kit's book is thrown off the edge of the raise, "Let the antssss deal with the creature of light." He grab up John's body and drag it into the shadows of the archway.
  15. Going to be a bit late for the event but Kestlona should be there, to honor her teacher's god.
  16. Kestlona open the paper, scanning through the news. "Hm, not interested...oh, his job down the drain...Captain Mynhier in a leather throng..." She pause, went back to the add, felt her face flush at the site of her Captain in all of his Highlander glory. "Cliodhna...what did you use to talk him into that..." **** Sam chuckle as he stares at the adds that were on the board. "Oh this is great. He is so going to get rib by all of the Flames. John, you have to see this." John frown, looking up from the latest notes he was working on. "Sam, I'm busy," the miqo'te said. He blink as he makes out several posters on the board. Sitting his quill down, he comes over, and his face flushes as he sees for Cliodhna. He swallows hard, thinking how good she looks...to Erik in that outfit. He began to breath heavily, the robes making him feel far too warm. He look...really good and his mind wonder what Howl would look like in that...outfit. His young mind painted a very 'good' picture for him and blood began to trickle from his nose. Blood rush from his head, the room spun, and he hit the floor, wearing a dopey grin on his face. "Oi, John, you alright kid." Sam chuckle again. "Geeze, what are we going to do with you."
  17. Yes, both Kestlona and John will be there. Kest to help with the Red Wing stuff and I'll pop off of her to have John help with the Grind/Runestone match. So since it will be mid-oct I'm hoping it will be around the time that I start my vacation, which will be starting on Oct 17. If not, try to get me a date before Oct so I can get that date off.
  18. The last few weeks pass in a blurr...between weapon practice, treasure hunts, Grindstone, and dealing with the dream about Fabrellet, he should be out cold. Yet Khuj'a's words still play in his head. Patch them up well enough that they can get through the fight...don't drain you aether so much...this isn't how heal on the battlefield. Then Restless came to him and slam the crystals idea right out the window. So he sat while Kit rested in the book. What had gone wrong...he was sure the formula had been right? He was sure it was work...until he realize that he didn't calculate the aether that the crystal had to draw. He was right back at the starting point. "No...no...no..." he said, crumbling a piece of paper with each no. Everything...all his calculations...he was still using his aether. He wanted to scream at this point. "Nothing is working...everything I've try...it still not working." Kit's sleepy aether touch his mind. 'It work for right now,' she said. 'Get some sleep and speak to the others tomorrow. They should have a clearer idea on how to go about this.' John sigh, standing up from the desk. He was so drain, both mental and physically. No matter how he look at it...the elementals were going to win. He look at the trembles in his left hand and wanted to laugh in bitterness over it. It was just a matter of time now. 'John,' Kit said again, as he move over to the bed. 'Khuj'a was just helping...' John drop down onto it. "I don't get it, Kit. I try to explain why the Grindstone was set up the way it was...yet it felt like he threw everything I learn from Warren back at my face." 'I'm sure once he speak to Warren, he'll understand.' He drop back on the bed, pulling his feet up, and kicking off his shoes. "I don't know if he will come back and we're so task on healers there." He hadn't felt drain while he had been using the crystals but he can feel the pull on his aether now. "I feel like I'm letting them all down...because I can't stand the elementals and they can't stand me." She said nothing back to that statement. He didn't know if it was approval or disapproval over his statement. "Raimy and his wanting me to go to a brothel. How could he even suggest that as a good idea...especially with Lady Amaya in the room." His eyes were starting to drift close. "why must Sir Khit'to always push," he yawns, "alcohol on me...stomach still turn from feel of fried Dodo..." **** The darkness in his parents room was even thicker then usually as he found himself in his ten year old body. The fever had grown more, his whole body shaking from it and the chill that encircle him. He struggle as he sat up...finding Kit book in his hands. He waited...watching to door open as Fabrellet step into the room. He watch the elezen smirk at him. "So, you think that you can fight me, curse one." He pause, frowning as the miqo'te stared at him, unnerving him slightly. "What, no fear now that you accept your fate?" "No..." John whisper. "I challenge you to honorable combat...in two week time." He watch Fabrellet step back. "You...you challenge me...who has the backing of the elementals." "Yes, to honorable magical combat." He sat his hand on Kit's book. "In two weeks, we will face each other in the waking world. Whoever wins...will take the other's life. That is if you and your elementals masters are not afraid to face me as myself instead of in this sick weak body." "Two weeks...and what is to stop you from running...not that I won't find you if you did." "I have business that I must settle here. I won't run even after that. There is a set of caves up from Camp Black Brush. We will face each other near Cutter's Cry." He waited to see what he would do. It was a risk but he would take it. Fabrellet face look thoughtful. "No one to help you...and once I slay you, the elementals will bless me even more." He move to put the dark dagger away. "Then I'll accept your challenge..." John only has a moment to see something dark and sinister sweep over Fabrellet's face. "No...you will diesss," he/they said, leaping for John. Kit's book was open and he launch Bio at Fabrellet/elementals? with Ruin following after. A blue gold light launch itself from beside him and tackle it/herself into Fabrellet, throwing him back through the door. **** John grasp awake, only to curl around his left arm as not only trembles ran through it but something dark and cold try to surface. He ignore Kit's panic cries in his head as he force himself to sit up. He pull the robe down and he could see now the tendrils of void taint running outward from his arm. "Gods, do the elementals hate me so that they turn to the void to get rid of me completely?" Howl, he had to find Howl before there was nothing else left of him. He stumble over to the desk, "Paper...ink...got to make this right...not sure if I have two weeks..." He began to write or more like rammble into the letter. He wrote that Sis...no he didn't know that he had started calling Sei sister. Wrote that Sei said that she hadn't seen him for a while. He apologies for everything that he had put him, Warren, and Sei though. He told him to please come home....and he didn't remember what else he wrote...that he knew he had lost against them. Yes, he knew he was going to lose but not before he made sure that Howl was back with those that care about him. He seal the letter, stumbling out to the first postmoogle that he saw. "Please...you have to find a Seeker by the name of Howl," he said, pushing it into the hands of the moogle. "Tell him that it's from John Waterstrike...that it's urgent and he has to read it." "Are you alright, kupo? You look too pale." "I'm fine right now...but you have to make sure he gets this. Please hurry." John watch the postmoogle nod and flutter away. He look at the still dark sky. "Time...got to pack...going to take all day to search Thanalan. I swear Howl...I'll find you." He stumble back toward the inn, throwing gear into a pack. He headed for the gate to Western Thanalan calling Safire to him. "Please behave...I don't have to time to fool with them. Kit, keep your nose up for his aether." 'You need to see Titor and the others...they can help.' "I will...after we find Howl."
  19. The clinic was quiet this afternoon, which was a good thing in Margret's opinion. She let a smile grace her lips as she watch John going over the books that he had brought with him. Kit had climb up onto his back trying to see what he was studying. "John, what is it that has you so occupied." "An idea Titor and the others gave to me. I'll have to run it by Warren before the next Grindstone," John muttered. He reach for another book, opening it to a section he had research before when it had been Howl...and shook his head. 'It has too work,' he thought. "I afraid that doing it might slow down my ability to heal if I use it." he said. 'No, it won't help Howl and that blasted eye. Warren is right, we'll have to wait until we can get into the library.' Kit lean a little farther over his shoulder, placing her paw on a passage. "No, I don't have the skill level to try that...but I'll note it down to show to Titor. It might be something that he can add to his own search." Curious now, Margret step away from the potions that she was organizing and came over to the books. His mom's eyes widen at what she saw. "John Waterstrike, what is the meaning of this?" John had stood up reaching for another book. "Research to heal without endangering my own aether," he said. "There's going to be some instant where I might not be able to use this..." "John what I'm reading here is you trying to become an aetheric vampire." Kit hop down off his shoulder and settle onto her book. She personally didn't see a problem with it since he used her aether to help heal. "No, I'm not Mom," he said. "I'll need only a small amount from the person I'm healing." He points to a passage. "I'm trying to determine the right amount of aether to draw out of the person...and how much of my own I can add to that..." He pull another book out of a pile. "Yet, there's going to be times that I might not have a choice in the matter about using my aether to heal, if the wound is far to serious to risk pulling some of their aether." He flip to a page, listing crystals. "If they're unconscious, I won't be able to ask their permission to do so. I'll need to talk with dad about the best crystals to use..." "Three crystal would be best. One each to match your aetheric elements and one that isn't tie to an element," his mother said. She found her son staring at her. "Crystals can work as a storage for aether." She look thoughtful. "I just worry that it's a temporary fix. John at least try to seek the Elementals..." "I will not ask for 'their' help. I rather die than go to them for their help." He was shaking from rage, not looking at his mom until he buried it again. "I'm sorry...I didn't mean to make..." and he found himself wrap in his Mom's arm. "He's not part of the guild anymore. He won't hurt anyone else anymore." John hope she was right. He hope that the nightmare was just that, a nightmare. That Fabrellet was gone from everyone lives for good. He pull away, looking back at the crystals in the book. "Titor might have some that I could use but how to keep them on me." 'My book...replace stones with Crystals,' Kit said in his mind. "Replace the stones...but that would hurt you, Kit." 'Won't hurt if I'm outside of book. Add crystal...make stronger and better healer.' "I'll speak with Titor about it the next time I see him." He turn to his Mom and the miqo'te place a kiss on the hyurian's cheek. "Thank you, Mom. I promise not to worry you so much." Margret gave John a small smile. "We're your parents, John, I have every right to worry about you even if you're walking out of the house."
  20. This is something that Titor and I did on Skype last night. Think the title sums up what take place in the story. Hope you guys enjoy all of our work. John slips into the mansion, Kit's aether is cooning in his mind. "I'm still not sure what he truly thinks about my ability, especially since he seems to have something that can do..." He shakes his head, heading for the medbay’s door. "Sir Titor?" he ask, after knocking. Titor was in, a brief shuffling of papers and footsteps was heard before he approached the door and ultimately opened it. He smiled when he saw John and gave a gentle nod. "Greetings, Sir John. I am glad you came to see me. Please, come in." He gestured for John to join him inside. He blinks, not quite expecting the greeting that he got. He can see the papers in Titor's hand, before slipping inside. "Sir, if you're busy, I can come back another time," he said, eyeing the papers. They kind of look important. "No! I am not that busy right now, and I had been wanting to speak with you anyway. At training the other night, you seemed a bit... Off. Sad perhaps? Injured? Ah, I hope not. But I can heal you if you need it. Or is something else on your mind, maybe?" He set the paperwork down and gave John his full attention. John fiddle with his gloves, feeling slightly well, he wasn't sure what he felt. The chill in his arm wasn't helping to focus his mind either. "No, no," he said, again taking his right hand and kneading that odd spot in his arm. "I...I don't need any healing." He try to order his thoughts. "I mean, you already have healers and..." He reach his hand up to the Dream Cystal that was hidden under his robe. "Hm? Oh, well I guess you are right, you could have gone to another healer if you wanted to. Ah, sorry. Sometimes I get a bit caught up in wanting to do all the doctoring myself." he shook his head a bit, smiling. "So ah, what is on your mind then? Did you learn anything about the crystal that is bothering you? If there is something dangerous, we need to pull it from everyone right away." John wince, "That's not what..." It might be better to just drop it. "No, the crystal hasn't done anything, expect still draw that tiny bit of aether from myself." He kneed his arm again. "I just...it seems that these crystal are supposed to do..." he looks away, "what I can do." "Mm? No, not really. So far they have not been able to pull anything other than dreams, and it does not look like they will be able to do anything other than that. Random dreams and dream flashbacks are not as valuable as being able to pull out precise details, especially of specific things. At most, these things might help with psychological evaluation or perhaps communication with someone who is unconscious or unable to speak, such as Iris. Those are what my goals are for the crystal." "Oh," John said. So it wasn't quite like what he could do. He not quite sure if he should feel relief or not over then subject. "Then my, um, ability is still needed?" "Very much so." Titor looked at him as if he were crazy for implying otherwise. "You and your ability has already been a huge help, saved the lives of one of our own, and I think will be quite beneficial in the future." "I was only a little help," he said, a faint blush coloring his cheeks. "You and the others did far more work on figuring out exactly where Raimy was." He glance back at Titor. Raimy words from last night still ringing in his mind. "How...how many knows what I can, um, do?" Well, besides the ones that had been there when he had dream Amaya's memories. "I believe just myself, Raimy, and those there when the Amaya event happened... Why? Does it still make you uncomfortable? It is not that terrible of a thing, John. It can be very beneficial." "I just...finding it hard to see it as beneficial." He ran a hand through his hair. "How do you change eleven years of what you thought about yourself? Even now, I still have to catch myself from calling it a curse." His ears drops a little, Fabrellet's words from that dream still playing in his head. "It saved Raimy, John. Amaya was too out of it to give us details, no one else had any leads. If it were not for you, Raimy might be dead." Titor looked away, his ears lying back at the thought. "I would have been quite upset if he were dead." Looking back at John, he tried to give a reassuring smile and nod. "If you want, we could try to study it more, perhaps figure out a way to give you more control over it, so you do not have to wear gloves all the time." He looked down at his own hands, which were also gloved, but for entirely different reasons. "I know..." he said. "I guess I'm just worried about my place in the unit." He shakes his head. "No, it's not just that but I'm not sure how to put it into words." He bow his head, his mind playing back to all the injuries that Raimy had. Even when he did too much he still felt it wasn't enough. He look back at Titor, seeing that the other was looking at his own hands. Had he ever seen him without gloves and he truly couldn't remember. He gave a small smile. "It seem, I'm not the only one that hides to protect those we care about." He moved over to Titor. "How much time do we have?" he asked. "Because I feel like we both are running out of time. Especially when you said something about your aether being low." Titor reached out in a comforting gesture, looking as if he were going to rest his hands on John's shoulder, but backed out at the last moment knowing how he was uncomfortable at being touched. "You are needed here, John, and cared about here. The Division would not be the same without you here. I am honored to call you my friend and comrade." He took a deep breath, before looking at his hands. "Ah, indeed, though the reason I keep my hands gloved is... much less exciting and important than yours. I am not sure, myself. My aether seems to be seeping from me, and I am not sure how to help it, or stop it. Not my life aether, though, just usable aether. I... hmm." he looked very solemn all of a sudden, but shook it off. "I think it will be ok." John frown in thought. "I've been studying aether. Not sure how much my little knowledge would help." He could feel a tightness in his thoat. "I think...I might need all the friends..." He shook his head. Now was not the time to worry about himself. And it was time that he got over his dislike for being touch. He put his trembling hands on Titor's shoulders, letting just a little aether flow into his friend, even as he force himself not to jerk away from the touch. "We'll find a way, somehow to stop it...ok, Titor." And it seem Raimy was not the only one to have lost the Sir to his name. Titor reached up again to hesitantly rest his own hands on John's shoulders. "You are.... You are a good friend, John." Titor smiled, glancing off to the side a bit. "We can help and support each other, which is what we are here for. The Division is composed of unique people with unique talents, some talents more harmful than others. But we are here for each other." He nodded, withdrawing his hands. "And everything shall be ok." He squeeze Titor's shoulders. "Then we should get as much rest as we can, Titor. I think it's going to be a lot of late nights and hard work." He really hope that Titor was right about that. He let a little more of his aether flow outward before withdrawing his own hands from Titor's shoulders. "Is there anything else you need me to look into, Titor? If not, then I should get some sleep. Mom going back to the clinic tomorrow and I want to make sure nothing is out of place when she get back." "That is all. Remember, if you ever need help with anything, let me know. I will help you the best I can." He gave a smile and a nod, backing up a bit. "I shall sleep too, I think. Rest well my friend." John lets a full smile grace his lips. "You as well, friend." He steps back and gives a quick wave. Once he had done so, he reach for the aether lines, finding that which lead to Ul'dah and home. "And I do mean sleep, Titor, not lying in bed, going over paper work," he said, catching the aether and teleporting home.
  21. Site at some point went down for me... so maybe not a good resource then? Shoot, just check out the site myself and it is completely missing. All that comes up for me is a list of similar url websites.
  22. John attending weapon practice at Zero Division HQ. At this moment, he's watching Paul and Titor practicing.
  23. A package arrive to Jancis. Inside is a small book that has a small selection of photos. Under the book is a note in clean elegant handwriting. Dear Jancis, I hope this package find you well. I took the best pictures and place them in a book for you to look at. With my ability, I know that I can see the person memories and the emotion that colors them. Since I haven't found anyone that can do the same, my photography is my way to share my memories with others. I know that they don't have the emotional impact that I can experience but I hope that they will give you an idea on the joy that not only myself but also what might have been experience by those around me. I will warn you that Sam, I mean, Captain Robinton used my camera as well. I think they came out ok though he said that he had no idea what he was doing with the camera to begin with. I look forward to being well when the Thaliak celebration takes place. May Thaliak's grace and wisdom guide you, John Waterstrike The Builder's photo ablum
  24. With his mom doing well and with the capable hands of his Dad and Mimi to look at her, John attend the Builder's Celebration. He took many pictures, including this one of Lady Jancis in front of Byregot Symbol.
  25. John's head is bow, as Thomas's hands rest on his shoulders. "Will Mom really be alright?" he whisper. Thomas squeeze John's shoulder, not wanting his own doubts to color John. "E-sumi saw to her himself. The fluid in her left lung will make it hard for her to breath but he is confident that with the right spells and potions, she will make a full recovery." He bow his own head. "But it will still take time, and rest for her to heal completely from the infection in her lung." Before he could say more, he look up to see Sam and Dagger unit, riding hard for Nald's gate. "Samuel..." he called, watching the young man, as he dismounted before the chocobo came to a full stop. Sam rush up to the pair. "We rode hard once you call me," he said, looking worried. "Is she..." he bagan, holding himself as John came up to rest his head against his shoulder. He place a hand on John's shoulder, feeling the miqo'te shutter under his hand. "E-sumi said that she will be fine..." Thomas said. "Yet, I fear how bad it would have been if we had waited like she wanted." He look hard at Sam, "I need you to do me a favor. Take John away from Ul'dah for a few hours. Reports from the Tonberry has been asking about Margret condition and I don't want to subject him to their question. Not while he is still upset over..." "She wouldn't let me heal her...just like Sir Howl won't let me heal him." Another shuttering breath, "He hates me now...has every right to hate me after what I said to him." Sam look confuse at Thomas. "He and this Howl had a falling out...after they found out how he had really been healing. They...exchanged words..." "said he was being an idiot..." "He's been stressing out himself trying to find a way to heal without using his aether or tying himself to the Elementals," Thomas finish, eying Sam. Sam nods, handing the miqo'te over to Axe. "I'll call you once the reporter leaves but I think he was planning on attending the Builder's celebration." **** It was a couple of bells later once the group was away from Ul'dah. "So want to tell us about your unit?" Bandit ask. He frown when he saw Blade shake his head. "What...can't help ifna I want to know about who stole our Kid away." He turn to watch John fiddle with a small shard of crystal, copper wire had been wrap around it to form a little cage around it. That in turn was hook to a chain of copper as well. "What ya got there, Kid?" John blink before slipping the Dream crystal necklace back around his neck. "Something Raimy gave me...after we got him back." He then began to tell the others about Raimy, from his first meeting with the elezen while fishing with him, Titor, and one other. "After he gave me the crystal, he asked me to unlace his boots for him, though I wish he had turn around so it would have been easier to untie them. Then he ask me to undo his belt because his knuckles where still mess up from the beating he took but when I went to do so he told me instead not to worry about it and he would just go on to bed like he was..." he blink as he found that the group had stop. "Um, what's wrong?" "He wanted you to remove his boots...and his belt?" Sam choke out. John nods at the question. "And you didn't see anything wrong with that?" "Well, I was blushing over the fact that I had to help him but he was badly injury and I'm sure that he was probably grateful for the help...where are you going Sam?" "I'm going to murder and Elezen," Sam reply, heading for Eastern Thanalan and a direct line to the Shroud. "Cap....Cap, think about this," Bandit said, placing his chocobo in front of Sam's. "He was probably just prank the Kid..." "What he was doing was not a prank?" Over on the side, John just watch in confusion. He could see Slayer, Nightingale, and Blade doing rock, paper, and scissor. A quiet sigh from Night, a smirk from Blade at Slayer who curse under his breath. "Look at it as good practice when Liza gets old enough to date," Nightingale said, smirking as well. John blink as he was drag over to a far corner away from the group, who was now working on calming Sam down or figuring out the best way to make a Raimy pincushion for their daggers. He then began to fill him in on everything that Raimy could have probably done to him, if he had been of the mind to do so, and feeling bad at the raising look of horror that was crossing John's face. "But...but Sir Raimy wouldn't do that....Gods, I'm not going to be able to show my face around him. What must he think of me?" "He probably thought he had someone that was eager as well until he realize that you had no idea on what was actually going on," Slayer said. "If he had went beyond that point...I can use my lance on him just as readily as I can us it on a Dragon." He glance up at the sun. "Is not the Builder's Celebration suppose to start?" "Oh no. I still need to make that gift for Lady Jancis."
