I suggest holding it there if An's ok with it, and just taking some replacement crew if someone can't make it.

Pending Events: Sealegs: The Iron Bitch (Run by Klyn) - SOON Research Project - The Sultana's Revenge (run by me) - Signups sooooon TBD - Strange Happenings - The Iron Bitch (Run by Klyn) - Signups after Sealegs Event Results: Return to Fox’s Hollow Armand had an idea. What better way to learn about these mysterious corsairs, than to join them? He soon found one of their captains seeking a guide that knew the region of Coerthas. For Captain Blaestwyn’s destination was none other than the town of Fox’s Hollow. Once arrived, they soon locked Armand up alongside the villagers, torturing them for information. Blaest learned of the adventurers that had come in weeks prior, and forged a letter requesting them to return. When S’imba, Leanne, Nikha and Xarl arrived, they found Armand beaten and bruised outside the village. Having escaped, he came to warn them of the impending trap. The adventurer’s entered to find the villagers locked in a barn, the village Blacksmith Helene outside with the Pirate captain. Pistol to her head, the gigantic seawolf questioned the adventurers, and, when learning that they held the coin, shot Helene and called the attack. While Xarl kept their leader distracted, the others took out his crew. Armand was able to eliminate the guard trying to set fire to the barn, saving the villagers from a fiery death. Eventually, frustrated by the loss of his crew, the Pirate captain signalled the escape. An airship came in over the hills, picking up Blaest on a rope ladder. The adventurers caused one last indignity for the captain though, Leanne shooting down his rope ladder as the ship sailed over the village. Plummeting to the ground, the Roegadyn was bruised but not broken, and he managed to regain his vessel with a curse. All members receive [Adventurer’s Guild Voucher] x1 - Feeling bad that they assigned a mission that was a trap, the Adventurer’s guild has given all members of the party a voucher for future services or requests from the Guild. Story Aspects: Leanne - Pirate Bane: Leanne does not like pirates, not one bit. Apparently they don’t like her either. Sealegs: The Sultana’s Revenge Upon the information given by one Theia Smolder, an expedition was sent out to retrieve the Sultana’s Revenge. Abandoned for several years, the wreck was last seen in a remote atoll. S’imba, Nuin and I’rila brought their crew of ex pirates and sailors to the location. Being a superstitious bunch, many of the sailors, including First Mate Dave, were unwilling to travel to the seemingly cursed vessel. However, after tales of Treasure were told by Theia, the crew eagerly rowed them out to the beached vessel. They found it abandoned, and began the work of restoring her. However after a moment it was clear that it was not so abandoned after all. Nuin discovered a clutch of Kraken eggs in the bilge of the ship, apparently being laid there from a hole in the ship’s side. While they struggled to remove the hundreds of eggs, an errant step by Nuin caused one of the eggs to slip, bursting open on the deck with a foul noise and stench. This caused something to stir in the center of the atoll. A massive head emerged, eyes glaring. Eyes that S’imba promptly fired a broadside at. Nuin and Irila were not very pleased with this as they continued to attempt to remove the eggs. Meanwhile Theia took the help, attempting to get a better position on the creature as S’imba filled it with shot. Eventually it assaulted the vessel in melee, and S’imba was able to leap off and slay the beast. The crew cheered, reveling in the bloodthirsty nature of their new captain. I’rila and Nuin were less than pleased, only distracted by a baby Kraken that seems to have hatched during the battle. It clung to the two women like they were its mothers. All members receive [Masters of the Sultana’s Revenge]x1 - While others may use this ship, you are the ones who drug her back to the waves. Use this boost on any roll related to the ship. Story Aspsects: Nuin and I’rila: Maternal Instinct - While others were trying to kill the Kraken in the most efficient way possible, they were doing their best to save its children. Their failure stings, and they will strive all the harder in similar situations

I think he mixed up Celts and Germanics at times. The celts were a lot more 'civilized', given by the fact he looted so much stuff from them. The Germanics at that time were much more 'barbaric' The Zulu's are an example of an army that fought (mostly) naked. They essentially used a large force to hold the enemy in place, then had the rest of them sprint around and encircle the enemy. In some ways fighting naked can be a benefit pychologically. A man in a helm in armor is one thing to stab, it's another to stab someone's naked flesh. There is a certain revulsion human's have to such things.
-
I liked the idea of a tribe that in their preferred state would violate a closely held taboo of a lot of Eorzians - and then I got to thinking of how such a tribe would fight... Have no fear, lots of different cultures have fought nude. The Germanic tribes against the romans were a good example.

My butt looks like this kind of tomato

Yes you can use the word naked.

Lol do you mean the word naked. Is that the word. I saw n----- and immediately thought of something else.

In-Game Achievement in Relation to a Character
111 replied to Renault Delumiere's topic in RP Discussion
To be fair the primals come back constantly. Presumably some of the time the regular adventurers, GCs, and mercenaries of Eorzea have to kill them. Titan has probably been killed a few dozen times, for example. Who's to say you weren't there for one of them? -

In-Game Achievement in Relation to a Character

So the only time I've ever done that, was back when EX primals dropped, I was one of the early ones to kill all three and get a cool sword. I wore the sword ICly, and if anyone asked my character said they helped kill Titan after the beast tribes summoned him. If someone said 'no you didn't' whatever that's cool. However I had the sword (which was rare at the time). I think the whole OOC/IC achievement thing is, use it to add flair to your RP. If your character is supposed to be filthy rich, owning the latest expensive cosmetic gear is a good way to show that. If they're supposed to be a great warrior, having rare weapons or armor helps. However it's only for flair, like, you can't demand people treat you a certain way because you do those things. You can't be like "LOOK AT HOW MUCH GIL I AM, ADMIT MY RICH LALA IS RICHER THAN YOUR RICH LALA" tldr: Use ooc achievements to add flavor and weight to the concept you're RPing, but don't use it as a certificate of authenticity. -
Ummm back in the day the captain of the sultansworn would come up. Same with the Female Paladin in the Hildibrand Quests. I've seen Gegejuru (or whatever the coast del sol guy is called). They're around, but often they're just used as NPCs for a plot, typically not as someone's actual character.

Validation is a crucial part of roleplaying in general, so much so that it could easily be renamed "Creative attention-getting," so that's no surprise.

I'm going to have to withdrawl I think, due to time constraints. Sorry! I think Orrin gets my spot.

Important Annoucements! Klynzahr is now my Co-GM for these events. She will be dealing mostly with ship based events. Sultana's Revenge - Part 2 - Tuesday the 20th at 6:30 PST SHIP RULES Fate-14 Ship rules (By Verad) https://docs.google.com/document/d/1J6p9cOOs7KYAjANz9KgzgBZK3ELhl9NmTlr0tdaw__Q/edit Fate-14 Ship Errata (By me) https://docs.google.com/document/d/1kBQgtGR1DpWMJJTg85iFbheLw5TwQtXj3tTRfDy9rmA/edit?usp=sharing There are some significant changes in here from the main rules. Mostly they focus on making non-nautically themed characters more useful in ship battles. Also there are new rules for creating and RPing ships. To Aspiring Ship Captains The errata has new rules for creating ships. The two player created ship's at the moment are the Sultana's Revenge and the Iron bitch. However once you create a ship, it is somewhat at the mercy of the plot. It must be given an aspect representing an NPC first officer, and you must be open to the idea that it will participate in events even if your character cannot.
