One has to imagine that they barely get by - relying mostly on expensive imports and hunting. Any stockpiled food ran out long ago. Starvation is probably a serious problem on the lower levels. The effects of permanent winter honestly seem t be undersold :-X

Well the miqo'te skirt and hempen top are as similar to Hyur gear as anyone ^^ The rest should be identical.

Some Casual looks (at least, I think, Casual for a Fantasy MMO! I do wish there were more conservative tops, but have to work with what we have!) I'm referring to Aya's outfits in these shots (three of which I just took as examples, and then others are past screen shots), there are some good examples of other people wearing casual outfits in these shots too! I also realize that many of the pieces are used again and again, and there are obvious color-trends. But, what I'm trying to say is, you can mix-and-match with a handful of pieces using a wide variety of colors and accessories to create a nearly endless variety of casual outfits with just the few tools we have. I do definitely wish there was more variety, but we don't have to feel doomed to wearing the same thing over and over again unless we wear armor What you will notice though is... only short skirts! Which is entirely the problem with our skirt options.

Casual clothing is most of what Aya wears, I think FF actually does quite well in this department compared to other MMO's Actually, not counting the NPC clothing from the Golden Saucer, I don't really feel that there is a lot of "casual wear" options for guys. For the longest time I just had Chachan using the multiracial "undershirt" as his top. A lot of the pants didn't really seem to work for me either. Then again, I might just be picky about the look I'm going for. Most of the games I've played have basically.. none.. I mean I'd rather have many more options, but I don't think its fair to say that FF doesn't provide any.

Casual clothing is most of what Aya wears, I think FF actually does quite well in this department compared to other MMO's It seems I need to get my eyesight checked. Where are they?! The hempen top, the vest-like tops, and the Ul'dah style blouses are all quite casual, and can be paired with a number of the skirt and trouser options (I am most fond of the goatskin trousers in various colors!).

I knooow! Where is my just-over-the-knee length skirt! Please SE!! Please!! Aya wears skirts more often than not. She probably wears the Hyur starting skirt the most, followed by the Acolyte's, and the Foestriker's. There are also the retainer sets: Linen and Patrician Bottoms. The short skirts are often appropriate for the look Aya is going for, but I so wish we had more options in the medium length (or any options at all!) not to mention actual dresses.

Going off of what Graehm said too, its definitely not inappropriate behavior in terms of the rules. Obviously OOC conversations in the QS don't bother me in the least. RPers have no special right to make use of the Quick Sand that doesn't extend to non-RPing players. Where I begin to draw the line is on behavior that is obviously, and intentionally, spammy or harassing. Spamming means filling people's chat boxes with repetitive text, while harassing means intentionally trying to interrupt or bother people (such as persistently standing on them, animation spamming, etc). This was definitely a case of spamming, there can be no argument about that (whether or not you want to call it RP spam is entirely your call, it doesn't mean anything to me ). Anyone who was there was well within bounds to ignore and black list if they wished. And, I'd say, since the behavior was from someone who is a member of the RP community it was not very respectful. Such things don't really have to be done in private to be respectful, but keeping intentionally spammy stuff out of very busy public RP fora seems a reasonable expectation of basic respect for RP. To each their own, as always, but to each their own black list as well!
