I think comparisons to place like Something Awful and 4chan... are really silly. This is a very well behaved, generally positive forum that has little bubbling's up of aggression (and passive aggression) that could stand gentle moderator input [That is my take anyway, please use the older thread if you disagree!] I think a little behind-the-scenes focus on the moderator culture (which I am sure has happened!) will be much more useful and productive for us than a discussion about punishment. We're fortunate for the group of moderators we have The rules sound good, except that the rule against advertising seems rather board and unnecessary to me, but I am sure there's some reason behind it.

I'm curious how many intend to roll alts vs. RP them as their main. I guess I'm not, I assume the majority of players will give the race a try as an alt!

I feel like to be informative this should really have been a simpler question: Do you plan to play an Au Ra as your main RP character? Yes No But maybe that's just me

Aya's pet is a fat cat by the name of "Monsieur Fats"! He was a 'gift' from Kage, and while technically Aya's cat, is more of the Quick Sand's! She isn't exactly the most attentive to his needs, so he is frequently found hanging around the kitchen waiting for scraps from the staff (most notably Aya's good friend, a highlander named Jericho). I have this concept of Monsieur Fats doing his best begging on his stubby little legs at the feet of a cook who is offering him a bite of food!

No, I mean DBZ: Abriged, the fandub series that cuts DBZ down and makes it hilarious. Oh right, I've heard of these! And never watched one myself Probably still an improvement!!

I have not seen the new My Little Ponies! I haven't seen Game of Thrones either (not so much ashamed of this, I hope to read the books someday and would rather do that before watching the series) Does this mean skipping the 1/3 of every show that is showing what happened the episode before and will happen the episode after? What about the 1/3 that's just grunting while powering up? I think you probably did this right and should not feel ashamed :-D

Well, Raiya is a Miqo'te Archer and... That's about all I know about her. I'm currently reading into the lore a bit to learn a bit more about the world and the race. :roll: That's a great start! Have you decided if you're a Keeper or a Seeker yet? Depending upon how much you want to wing things, that could determine where she is from, and something about her nature as well! As has already been mentioned the busiest city-center for RP is Ul'dah, and the Quick Sand is an obvious hub, but RP can be found in many places.

I think there's a category error here, I am discussing in-game RP, and I think people vastly over-estimate the role of the RPC and any perceived RPC reputation on in-game RP.

That would just scream "Verad"!
