I'd love to set up a connection! I actually have a redheaded Miqo'te that looks suspiciously similar who I played as a mother in the past...that was I was planning to re-work into an entirely new character/storyline since I haven't used her in years and my previous connections no longer play 8-) I'd happily work out the details of playing her mother, or older sister or aunt... Anything really haha! Or I could just be a childhood contact instead! We'll work out something good I'm sure! I think we have similar active hours as well, except I sleep less :dazed:

Do you know the names of the FCs? I look on the list but it's just a bunch of names so it doesn't really tell me much

Hi!:cactuar: I'm back after stopping around the time Heavensward came out... Is there anywhere I can find a European FC to join? I was always in American ones in the past and the 2am events were killing me... probably literally! Preferably after a story driven one, but at the very least just having people online around the same times I am to RP with would be good I have a few different characters so I'm sure I'll have something to fit

Just out of curiosity, you would really trade the game in over that? This is just my 2 cents, but if so, I don't think even being on Balmung will save the game for you. I could say the same if my RP stopped. Everything I do in game is for RP, doesn't mean I don't enjoy doing it. But I only level if there's gear I need, and only earn gill for buying what I need to enhance RP.

You just have to check at the right times. Around 10-11am in the UK, and 4am-ish in America they tend to open, wouldn't expect to have that luck on weekends though since people stay up late and such. I've got seven characters there now, always seem to be able to get the next whenever I need it.

Yeah, it's pretty much as Clover said. If you're not someone who is fine with 5 or less hours sleep, you will probably not be able to attend most events. Even in my FC midnight is the earliest events can start on weekdays. Random RP is still always around, and friends and such, but it's never going to be the full expereince.

I usually can only create characters around 11am to 2pm UK time. But recently that's become much more of a smaller timeframe

This isn't really very different in the real world either, to be honest. Obviously less so for a fifteen year old than an eighteen, but do you really think some randy person in a bar is going to stop approaching someone who looks a bit younger? (Might just be an English thing though, since 16 year olds and all.) But isn't it supposed to be hard to tell the age of a lala? Even if they act childish that doesn't really give away much at all. It's annoying, but as Bart said, you can't stop people from being people. I would suggest just sticking the non-ERP tag in your message just to avoid the ERP only RPers anyway. -- Though I doubt it would stop many of them.

This is entirely my point though. I'm not saying I'm fine with a 13 year old character doing that, but the point I'm trying to make is that it might be fine in their country, and they shouldn't be judged for doing it. Morals aside, it's not really any different than judging me for spelling colour with a u. That's just how it is in said country. 18 being a safe age shouldn't suddenly mean any younger character under that should have their player judged, it's more a case of just respecting the people around you (On both sides.) Since, even if it is fine to do it, not many others want to see a 13 year old doing that, and in most cases that applies for 18+ as well. Since all logic here obviously can be used on both sides it's not really an easy discussion. It's more about just not doing it in public. People who's age is 13 need to respect that others wouldn't want to be okay with that, and people who's age is at 18 should respect that most other places use a younger age.

I am still on the final level 30 quest for Rogues, but as far as I remember there wasn't mention of arcanists, and for the most part I think the yellowjackets didn't really mind them, it was just one individual that was wanting to shut them down. Although I think assuming there would be more out there that feel the same way would be quite possible. (I guess what I'm trying to say is you could have both sides within the yellowjackets.) The Rogues were more along the lines of, here's the rules and if anyone breaks them then they are likely to be up against the guild. So obviously that means most criminals out there would break these rules, making the rogues against pirates and the like. It might be likely that they are on good terms with the arcanists. I think it's more that most people assume the rogues are just bad guys. I probably have the totally wrong idea and played through the entire storyline in a dream state though, and never got the expereince the real storyline :sleepy:

I know it was mentioned in the first couple of pages, but people really need to stop using 18+ as a rule. So I suppose this is just aimed at people that have that set age at 18, and think anything lower is bad. Not all countries use 18 as the age of consent. Gwen is 17, and if she ended up in such a situation, I wouldn't want people looking down on me because of her age. She's a year older than is allowed here in England, so I think just sticking to an 18+ rule is not going to help the situation. Obviously I think a tiny 10 year old lalafell is off limits(Or any 10 year old), but my point is more that a lot of places have younger ages set so it might just be a nitpicky thing, but the age can vary depending on where you're located, some places have no laws, while others might be as low as puberty. But don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to justify ERP with the young people, (I don't really enjoy it with any ages) and if they are young out of game, It would still be an issue, but my point is that saying 18+ is only going to cause issues if you yourself dislike anything younger than that age going for a diddle

I think it's closer to dollars, but still a bit inflated as well. So you could spend 100 on drink and it wouldn't be conisdered too expensive. But then at teh same time, Gwen's been paid like 150k for a few weeks of work, and then been charged 10k to repair a common dagger, so who knows I tend to just go along with most costs really.

Fuli is a little while away from learning any kind of destructive magic, so he's got a few moons at least.

It's just a thick Limsian/piratey accent. It doesn't actually sound too different from most british accents, to be honest. I read it fairly close to how I speak in real life, just a little more exaggerated.

Haha, I thought you would have gathered that when I commented on your last picture about Fuli's training You should add Gwen when you get online, I'd be much more likely to switch to Fuli if I saw you online, it's usually me running around the quicksand to see who is there
