Going to give a quick tl;dr before elaborating. tl;dr - Looking for test subjects (preferably male and preferably Lalafell/Miqo'te) for potentially life threatening yet revolutionary scientific experiments. Lucrative pay will be provided in exchange for time given. The following information can be seen posted on fliers in each of the cities adventurers guilds on the notice boards. --------------- After recently losing his workshop and the large majority of his research and notes along with it the aetheric engineer, Master Kraz Axrial, has had to start from scratch again. This means he needs a new batch of willing test subjects for him to experiment upon so he can begin cataloguing his results once more. Potential applicants (Male Lalafell/Miqo'te preferred due to genetic and aetheric makeup) must be aware that this research is dangerous - There is a very real chance that you will return from it changed, or not return at all. With that warning issued payment will be generous and you will also have the knowledge that you are potentially making the world a much better and greater place where life remains abundant. The aim of this research is to see the feasibility and potential possibility of entrapping a soul and transferring it to another mechanical vessel on a permanent basis, thus providing a means of biomechanical immortality. If this research proves to be successful then it would revolutionise our society like never before! Loved ones would never have to leave us! The terminally ill would get a second chance at life! Warfare would be forever changed with soldiers that never need to be fatigued or need to eat! Get in contact now to be on the forefront of revolutionary science and aetheric research! At the bottom of the flier is some general contact information for Kraz --------------- Some general OOC information - While this research is dangerous it's totally up to you what ailments, if any, you want your character to suffer from due to the experimentation. I'm not going to force anyone into being maimed or wounded. - Death is an avenue that can be explored if you so desire it. Though again this is at your discretion. - This RP is going to be more one on one and focus on more mature and darker themes (and likely having your character being nude while being jabbed with needles) with more uninhibited morals, if this shall bother you please do not apply! - If you're interested either leave a message in this thread, PM me on here or try to get in touch with me in-game if I'm online.

Oh, fair enough. My mistake. Must have misread it as "You are required". However, it does raise another point that I've seen used a few times. If everyone was forced to use the standardised template then perhaps people would be more inclined to vote for what they like instead of prettiest art. Not saying that everyone does but I've seen plenty of things with people just saying they're voting for whatever 'looks drawn the nicest' and whatnot. Personally I feel that that's something that's always an issue in these design contests, the more artistically impressive things tend to get picked when ultimately it's the design that's important.

On that note then both the winners need disqualifying as well as a substantial chunk of the runners up because they didn't use the actual templates provided which was part of the rules to begin with.

Personally I'm extremely disappointed in the winners. We've essentially got yet another pretty boy hairstyle (like we don't have enough of those already) and some of the other entries that aren't even runner ups were substantially more interesting and stylish. Seriously fuck people that want more pretty boy hair. SE dropped the ball catastrophically in how voting for this was handled as well. IMO the entire thing needs to be restarted from scratch and the votes tallied up again. Also the whole winners/runner up thing being all japanese just raises eyebrows as well.

I'm tempted to go along to this if only for the amusing prospect of a lalafell lad potentially winning the whole thing.

Ahoy there. I'm currently on the hunt for some MRP for my character, R'kraz Tia, whom is currently involved in criminal activities and smuggling. Some connections and friends for him would be great as most people are (understandably) turned off of him when they find out what he does for a living. His brash and abrasive personality doesn't help him in that regard either though I'm told in some cases it can be rather endearing and amusing to interact with. ((Got the relationship side of it all sorted out, woo progress!)) I'm GMT based however due to rampant insomnia my hours are all over the place so I'd most likely be able to accommodate RP partners of most time zones. It was fun to watch and very fun to get auctioned off. The sudden explosion of gil and the ensuing bid war for me and my brother had us in kinks. We'll definitely be there for the next one.

Looking forward to going again this year! Had a blast at the last one apart from Kraz's IC relationship exploding at it and this one should be great fun too!

Had a whole lot of fun at the event! First time I've ever attended something like this and I was very impressed with the layout once I got inside. Hopefully I'll be able to turn up for the next one. And maybe not upset my host a little bit with my IC opinions on Eorzea.

I'll have to get myself along to this event it seems, looks fairly interesting and some of the hosts look like they could provide good conversation! Hopefully the wedding I need to attend beforehand doesn't run on too long so I can have my pick of the crop, heh.

This sounds like a lot of fun! And at a good time too so us over the pond will be able to get ourselves there for the event. Now I'm stuck with the dilemma of what to wear and what mask to use...

Don't worry about it, no harm done by it! My stance still stand though, if any harassment does come from any of our members please screenshot what happens and inform myself or one of the people I mentioned in my previous post. RP is supposed to be a fun time for everyone involved but if I have to make sure the hammer is cracked out when people are rude and uncouth then I shall do just that. As for all these things though - Blacklists work wonders and I can only encourage their use.

I've noticed a bit of a rise in harassment and griefing over the past few months, I'm not particularly fond of it myself and it does get quite irritating not being able to use a part of Ul'dah to RP in as it's been completely cordoned off and taken over. I personally just use a blacklist on sight approach to the situation. Heavy handed but it works rather well. In regards of some of the harassment coming from members of TGCid I'd like to put this out there - Our FC has a zero-tolerance policy of harassing others. A fair few of us in the FC's ranks RP and none of us condone this sort of behaviour. If there's any further harassment from TGCid members I would like you to take screenshots of their behaviour and either contact me on these forums or in game so I can carry this forward. If I'm unreachable you can also contact Pescarus Haustier in game to discuss it (one of our officers) or Baerys Heiral (our FC master). My condolences to anyone who's been negatively affected by members of our FC or had their RP interrupted by it. Rest assured I'll be making sure this is taken up internally so this hopefully doesn't happen again.

I'll put Kraz forward for this event since the last time I didn't get invovled until the very end and I regretted it for missing out on some great RP. Depending on how things go ICly Kraz could be convinced into assisting with the heroes and their cause or being blackmailed into working with the villains. Depending on the times for the main events I should be able to attend them (my own raid times allowing), the minor plots and stuff I'd have to co-ordinate a bit more. Either way, count me in. We'll see how IC interactions take this.

I. Basic Info Characters: Kraz'a Axrial, M'grahl Tia Primary character: Kraz'a Axrial Linkshells: Few OOC personal shells. Primary RP linkshell: None. II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Generally a medium amount. While I do enjoy RP and I try to make as much time for it as I can I do have several PvE things that I like to indulge in and spend time on. Most of my time when I'm lurking around and wanting RP will be spent idling in the Quicksand, seeing if there's anything to get involved in. Views on RP combat and injuries: I'm perfectly open to RPing combat and have done so several times in the past. For the sake of fairness I usually use an external dice site to base combat off (with certain exceptions based on characters and OOC discussion of course) As for injuries I tend to avoid anything involving permanent physical damage, mutilation or death but I'm open to other things happening. Views on IC romance: I will admit I am a rather big fan of it. The idea of Kraz'a finding someone to settle down with appeals to me greatly, that said forcing it for the sake of it just leads to poor quality RP. It's better for it to flow naturally if the characters have chemistry together. On the more 'adult' side of things I've no problems with going into ERP territory as it can indeed sometimes provide more development and scenarios. Side note on this one – Due to Kraz's upbringing and story he will only ever consider Miqo'te males for love and partnership. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): Unfortunately as intriguing as this sounds it can't happen, Kraz's story is rather explicit in him being the only son of his generation and having left his family behind overseas. Views on lore: Love it and I try to stick to it where possible. I don't view Kraz as one of the adventurers in the main story, but rather just another individual that goes along in the world and his own life. This means that he's heard about brave adventurers and heroes that delve into the places such as Coil, but he's never been there himself. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): I generally use a mixture of say, tells and party chat depending on what's going on, the subject matter and if it needs to be private or not. I'm up for using linkshells Icly as well if it's clarified beforehand that it's IC and Kraz'a has actually been given one IC. III.
