I experienced what was likely the worst Antitower group I’ve ever found. So, most of you know I don’t do a lot of content. Lately, I’ve had to work almost 60 hour weeks, to the point where I worked non-stop in December from, well, the end of November to the 24th. And only recently has that gotten to a more reasonable schedule. As such, I’m very, VERY undergeared. Geared enough to do Expert but not geared enough to randomly ignore hits - I have to rotate my cooldowns and some of them are very useless vs. certain monsters. (You can’t parry Fire but they sure can crit you if you’re not in the right position!) So when I see, say, a AST do Painflare over and over and over again when I’m standing there at 3k HP silently praying this isn’t a stun-immune mob so I can get a 3 second respite that one of my cooldowns (and my self-heal) can get active, I’m not a fan. When I see the Concussion debuff go down from 9 seconds to nothing while I have to eat a full Odious Croak (and a bubble because if I had positioned it so that I would be safe from the bubbles, one of the mages would need to move - considering I need things burst down fast I can’t do that, so gotta take the hit), I feel someone isn’t doing their job (and that’s… entirely way too common. Esuna/Leeches/whatever ASTs have, guys. If you’re healers you should know what these are!) When I see a FROGGED MAGE refuse to move because “but muh leylines” taking Water Bombs to the dome rather than doing the frog dance, I get (reasonably) angry. When I see the two Black Mages not move to the front to at least get some damage done on Calcabrena during Brace, I’m a bit iffy about their performance. When I see them KEEP CASTING REGARDLESS is when I start crying. And when I see my health bar not moving because I already used my self-heals, after TWO Knockouts on Calcabrena, that’s when I conclude I hate everyone involved in this scenario. Them for the whole thing, myself for not eating the deserter debuff and noping out. For real, if you don’t wanna heal, don’t queue as healer. If you don’t wanna move, queue as Tank. If you don’t wanna deal with these type of people… Don’t queue at all. In fact as soon as I get the Ifrit Chest Window that’s probably what I’m going to do. Midas sounds fun, but I don’t wanna deal with that shit.

Strange, I remember the reaction to carting out the dead bodies of the Waking Sands (back in 2.0) being very gruesome. I doubt anyone dying in Ul'dah and poor is that clean of a body so the reaction stood out. Fortunately, I just have to change that to preparing the bodies for transport rather than cremation in my character's backstory so that's always a good option.

Honestly I don't think they'd cart out people that often to Drybone. In one of my characters' backstories I have a few priests of Nald'thal who are specifically assigned to handling these cases, which would likely mean something like cremation. Much cleaner and less chance of the dead rising up as zombies when they're ashes. Although someone performing a ritual to combine the vengeful spirit of Sil'Dih as the Ashes of Sil'Dih would be pretty dang sick.

Probably better than me until something catastrophic happens under his watch that is wholly out of his control that leads to his firing.

One thing with fluff emotes... Please turn off the write out the emote option if you're going to be using a lot of these. A few of them do not have the text you want associated with them.

Doesn't explain Shiva, Bismark, Ravana or KotR to be perfectly frank... Phoenix Trance would be dope too. It's also possible that even Trance is not enough for Warring Triad onwards.

People feel like shit for stupid stuff all the time. To me it's as good an excuse as any, though the method of presenting made it look completely silly. I mean, unless he was directly the guy controlling the Gobbue. And he was drunk on the job. Also was teasing the Gobbue with a delicious whatever those things eat. And then pointed in the direction of the crowd saying "TEN GIL SAYS YOU CAN'T STAMPEDE THROUGH THE CROWD YA WEAKSAUCE GOBBUE." I could understand the angst if that was the case.

See if that was the case, I'd be happy with it because at least it's an explanation. Right now it's literally "We threw in a Phelegeton ability for the lols but you're doing a Ifrit HM solo." If they come up with a melee SMN I'm going to love that class don't get me wrong. Honestly, it makes Ishgard look even more like shit. Thancred points out the WoL single-handedly won that fight. It's straight up saying "Yeah Ishgard are chumps." It's even worse because Ayylmao is just saying "Hm sure let's put the incompetent son of a lord in battle to regain his honor, instead of someone who's actually competent. I mean why would we field someone who knows what they're doing we're going to guilt-trip the WoL into doing our bidding ANYWAY - Never mind that this is supposed to put pride into Ishgard as a nation and we're relying on someone who isn't even from Ishgard and who we've treated like complete garbage ever since 3.0."

So do they ever explain why in the shit Raubahn fights exactly like Ifrit or was that just a complete waste of time? Also AYLMAO THE BLUE really needs to spring for some duds if he wants me to fight for him.

Though the animated dead can be re-trained into whatever is needed (See Dead Men, Gentle) if necessary. Also, 10 bucks says the reason why "Gigi" is oddly comforted by his name being that is we're finding out his name is actually Vivi, like everyone else fucking called already, a couple of patches later. Cyr is a great foil to all the craziness of Hildibrand. In so far as the questline I'm not completely done with it yet (my internet was spotty as fuck last night and it's a miracle I actually completed Antitower without a single disconnection) - Antitower was lacking in lore imo. Also Emmallenain being a fucking idiot was nothing new, but the way they made that scene was okay if their goal was him trying to "pass the buck" in a sense - Blame the archer for your decision, but instead it was written as to him being genuinely surprised that an ARCHER when told "DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS" would just fire at her. Ugh - I'm in full on fuck this MSQ shit mode for the next week I'm afraid, and I'm not even at the full MSQ complete yet!
