Nicholas Holt ニコラス・ホルト: Nick is an aspiring machinist and is a smart Midlander, in the sense of mechanical stuff. He and his family hail from Ala Mhigo, but when the Empire took over, his father Lufaine joined the empire to protect them, leaving Nick to be raised as an imperial Ala Mhigan alongside his sister Emma and their mother Aurora. He aspires to make machines that help people, and to be like his father. He carries with him the pair of goggles his father gave him when he first went out adventuring. One day he built a clockwork puppet called a mammet, which he affectionately nicknamed Mammy, who serves as his assistant. He is kind and outgoing, but tends to be eccentric and too caught up in his work, leading others to believe that he is isolated. His main weapons are a sword and a gun, which sometimes he wields both at the same time to be versatile, although he is capable of fighting hand-to-hand although he mostly uses kicks, since he wants to protect his hands so he can still engineer. He is 19 and has a medium voice, but still young. Recently an incident has caused Nick to turn into a female. The Midlander looks upon the paper he was carrying with interest as he can see the paper getting wet, seeing rain starting to fall down from the sky. The Midlander looks up to the sky, daydreaming as he holds the wet paper. Only Hydaelyn knows what thoughts are going on in his mind or what questions he is asking himself.

In the midst of his panic, the midlander notices the paper falling off his bag, and proceeds to pick it up and read it. "Nicholas......Nicholas Who? Could...could that be my name?" He can't discern the other part of the paper covered in dust. He ponders in curiosity as he looks at his two companions.

I love that they are allowing 4.0 content to be accessed without needing 3.0's completion. I just personally feel that they should only gate the MSQ, so for those that enjoy the story can enjoy the story. The rest of the content can already be unlocked and doesn't need 3.x's completion. You guys agree?

The Midlander looks around groggily as he is supported by the Auri's shoulder. "I'm...I'm fine miss. It's just..." He regains himself and his balance as his vision becomes more clear. "My memory is hazy...I don't remember anything...even my own name..." The Midlander begins to panic a bit as he clasps his hands against his cheeks scared. "Who...who am I? I don't remember my name, where I come from, anything!" He panics all around when a worn piece of paper falls out of his worn out and tattered bag, first part saying "Nicholas". The last part is covered in dust and is hard to decipher. ((This is where the name comes up. I can't come up with a nice last name for the life of me for my character so I'm leaving it up to you guys. Don't be too ridiculous with the surname please.))

Once he had more feeling in his body he looked around, before holding his head in pain, groaning as he struggles to stand up, staggering as he does so before falling down again in the sand. "Agh...my head...."

The midlander groans as he starts to move his body around. He opens his olive green eyes to see an Auri female and a frail Hyur midlander, both looking blurry as his eyes try to regain their focus. "Whe....where....am I?"
