I would love to assist with this project yet must admit I am extremely lacking in the ways of the wiki, citations, format (wiki language) etc. Terrible in fact. BUT I'd love to help anywhere I can. Lore digging, screenshots, hell I've even gone back myself and watched all the cut scenes from 1.0. This is a great idea by the way and I can't wait to see it to fruition!

Sounds like a great idea! Maybe it's something that the champions from each of the previous Grindstone Champions could only participate in? (or say every 3, 6 months or something) I was thinking something similar along the lines of the above at least. Not sure how much Sindl gets on these forums but I know there are quite a few threads about the GS lately - I'll be sure to tell him to have a peak at this one!

I agree and have openly expressed this opinion with others involved in the event and through the Linkshells and other organizations I've been a part of. The Grindstone is a great event for combat RPers and spectators alike to come and enjoy. I'd hate to see it lose that charm over giant prize pools. Perhaps as Otto suggested, there is another way in which an event that encourages say, betting on combatants or what not? Could incorporate the things Kage has mentioned, shady dealing, perhaps rigging matches here and there? It sounds like it could be fun and perhaps a little darker, but in my opinion keep it out of an already long time successful event! Make another for it, hell we can always use more events right? Just my 5 cents. Edit: And Otto I know you mean well and yes you have openly expressed multiple times that if anytime anyone wants it to stop just say so. Not calling you out at all <3

Today is my 3rd day playing Final Fantasy, A Realm Reborn - and I'm really enjoying it! This in-game event was a great way to kick off my first week as well... thus I call this shot ..."New Beginnings" I will be attending Faye's RP Tavern event tonight with my RP half-sister, Arrelaine. Trading: Recruit-a-Friend Perks for RP advice/friendship! The title says it all, new to FFXIV as of yesterday - yet not new to RP in general. I don't have any friends that play this game and was hoping to purchase the full version this evening.
