I've RP'd on her once already. She's kind of quiet when she talks but very...diplomatic? But sharp tongued when pissed. I'd like to RP with more people on her though >.<

My FC has a few people who are ICly researchers. We've run IC dungeons together and are now plotting to ICly explore Dravania and even run some HW dungeons ICly. I know my character would be interested in meeting another smart person who isn't trigger happy. I can think of a few others I could introduce you to too! Namely a miqo'te and a Duskwight who may or may not see this hehehe. Actually surprised the Duskwight hasn't jumped on this thread already...hmmmmm...hehehe. Send me a tell in-game if you're interested/ever want to RP! Asheloux Thalantos. Not sure how up to date my RPC is. Ashe has changed a lot recently...he's nicer now and not exactly a villain. Now just a researcher studying aether currents in Dravania/Coerthas and seeking to revive Allagan tech because he's a poop made out of curiosity and no common sense xPP I tend to drag my IC contacts into some pretty crazy stuff though (IC dungeons, long term crazy), so be prepared!

So this is a rather specific request but I've been working on leveling my alt...Her reason for leaving Othard is prolly a bit different from most--she is hunting a traitor from her tribe who ran and snuck aboard one of the ships. His (I've been rping it as a man but it could be a woman?) betrayal which help lead to the Kharlu take control of the eastern coastlands for that year. So yeah, I'd like connections in that department. Say you have a Xaela that you're not sure what to do with or you're of the Jhungid tribe and would know of her mission somehow....I'd like to RP on her more now that I've progressed quite a bit on her. Please send me a tell on Shar Jhungid or Asheloux Thalantos or post her...or send me a pm >.< I'm still working on her wiki....work has been making me super busy for that thing. Only recently updated Ashe's. EDIT: Character now has a wiki...still need to add image and history. Also edited to expand on the fact that I'm looking for new RP contacts in general.

Lawlz Ashe... Uuuuh. 1) He's half blind. He can see aether out of that eye but it's essentially a blind spot in any normal combat. 2) He's a mage who doesn't have an inherent ability to use magic (not naturally talented). He casts like a Black Mage (which is bad) and is aware of his weakness as a mage. 3) He's stupidly booksmart but has the common sense of a 5 year old. He is impulsive in his decision making which has gotten him and others almost killed because of his mistakes. He's the type of person who would sell his soul to a voidsent just to see what would happen (which has happened....). 4) He's kind of a hypocrite. He will call others out for their faults even though he probably did the same thing 5 minutes ago. 5) Controlling...he doesn't know how to express himself well and doesn't know how to act around people he is supposedly close to. He will try to control them because of that...and get mad when they don't act like how he wanted them to. The list goes on but I can't do words right now.

I kind of have the reputation of pushing myself further than I should and falling asleep mid-RP. It's troublesome but my friends are fairly understanding about it (to the point where one of them will leave their character next to mine to provide a lap sometimes). Yeah, my FC-mates get it. Probably because it happens so often >.<

Omg I am kinda guilty of this but it's more like when RP goes on for like....5/6 hours and it's 4 AM and I fall asleep. I gotta stop RPing for hours. That being said, I'll usually say something like "Guys, I'm falling asleep, end it." but at the same time there's times where I'll close my eyes for a second and wake up 4 hours later alone in the middle of a map somewhere. I'll add another pet peeve--people who don't take advantage of the lore in the game. Some people I think are afraid to approach serious history/lore as a part of their character. I've done some serious crazy focusing on Allag and Ishgard for my RP because my character is interested in Allag relics and is Ishgardian. But when I see people who are like "Oh, I kinda do this but just sit in a tavern all day talking"....I'm like whyyyyy. Go take advantage of the world. .... so another pet peeve is tavern-only RP. For every time I've rp'd...maybe 3 times total in the QS? Every other instance has been in some godforsaken part of the map. Death fight in the middle of Coerthas... Ran an expedition in an IC dungeon run of Wanderers Palace. Planning on Gubal Library. .... There's just so many opportunities!!! Then again, I'm weird that way I guess....

I've never had the combat issues that others have had because I've always either: a) trusted the person I'm RPing with to not beat the crap out of my character and let me have them beat the crap out of him for them (they leave it open ended, I decide what to do, I leave mine open-ended) b) discussed it before hand c) Used out of game rolling to decide what hits and what doesn't. .... my biggest pet peeve is when my posts get eaten. I am on a PS4 so I gotta retype EVERYTHING slightly differently so it can go through. Also the whole thought emotes. It's like....cool but I can't do anything with it >.< I like the weird faces some people describe their characters having and you can kinda imagine what the thought emote would be. I know someone who does this really well and I always get a kick out of RPing with him. Personally, I'd like to be able to improve on detailing the slight gestures my character does that are his weird quirks....he taps his chin a lot when thinking and his gaze wanders quite a bit because he's kinda easily distracted by things around him. I'd like to be able to vary it a bit more ...that's a pet peeve about myself though. ...maybe see others put more thought into the little things?

My character is being forced into doing what your character is doing! Yay! Could work. Though he's more interested in figuring out how Allag stuff works....He's also in Ishgard...kinda confined there actually. Pretty sure I've seen you on the Ishgard RP LS.....but it me up sometime .____.

I used a fantasia ICly once but it wasn't a potion. I was bored and did an RP plot where some aetherical disturbance caused by a failed experiment shifted my character's appearance to a female (the tl;dr explanation)....and ended up using Sylph magic to change him back. It was fun and interesting to see how others' handled it. I was bored and wanted to try something new and my character ended up going back to being a male at the end of it. If you are changing a character's race....I don't think I'd accept it as "Oh, okay."...ICly my character would be like "I don't know you" probably....

What if it's the players who pray for him to spawn so they can get their drops....hmmmmmm? jkjk Good point though.

I had one of my character's eyes white and able to see aether due to an incident involving experimenting with aether that went wrong since before Y'shtola's thing was a thing. Kinda super happy that it was justified by this. That being said, I think she is blind and forcing herself to see aether and that is what is killing her. She is most definitely blind though.

This MAY not be the most ideal option but I think that paid transfers to Balmung still work... There's a risk of disappointment on other servers....so you could always try it but if Balmung turns out to be the best place then by then you could just have them transfer or maybe if you're lucky the server congestion will die down. Logging on during peak hours tonight (friday) weren't that bad. I think a lot has calmed down a bit....

They were wildwood. I guess the whole thing would make them something else at this point. But there's no questioning they emerged from the Twelveswood only to meet the dragons.... That's kinda what started all of this.

OOCly complaining about people's IC stuff hasn't actually happened in any of my circles...I know someone told their friends about my RP with them but when I first met them it seemed more positive than negative. Then again, I have a habit of dragging this person's character into some pretty crazy stuff... <--- Meant this as a joke btw. This dude is awesome haha OOCly complaining about OOC stuff, yeah. I'll admit to that too. But it always gets resolved though talking through misunderstandings, etc. I donno. I never take people's IC stuff to heart. Especially because I RP a character who is a jerk...I know that OOCly I'd probably hit him in the face if he said the stuff he says to people >> THAT BEING SAID. For my FC, we have implemented IC interviews for people who want to join. This is not to limit by ability but to limit people who are either trolls or more focused on ERP than actual RP plots. The only IC-ish/OOCish drama I've had was an FC council issue with excessive ERP that gave the people who seriously wanted to RP a bad name...and that was resolved by restructuring an FC and leaving the ERPers to their own FC. I don't get what you can complain about? People's characters? Plot ideas? Everyone I've RP'd with seems above that BS though...It's about having fun. If I need three posts to express something but a new person only needs one, so be it. They'll learn and adopt their own RP style. I donno...I guess I have too much fun RPing stuff to care to complain about it later? Never found anything to complain about with any of the plots I've gone through...

So, after the Vault fight and leading up to the Bismarck, how are Ishgardian RPers handling all the stuff that's happening? It's kinda leading right now that Ishgard is falling apart at the seams. I had worked through some plots before Heavensward where I had my anti-Ishgard character adopted into his uncle's family for reasons and now is living in the city. But like...with the city kinda falling apart even more and the Archbishop being a crazy psycho...I donno what to do RP-wise...not that his adoption made him any less anti-Ishgard.... Anyone else having problems with their RP/characters with the new lore? NO SPOILERS POST BISMARCK FIGHT.
