Did the same earlier today, actually. Tossed out a few extra bucks for faster shipping and mine still hasn't left the warehouse yet, this is what I received: Without saying, I'll be requesting a refund for the shipping once this thing actually crawls its way out of their dungeons.

CSLfBR4D0Hg Steve Blum fits the ol' Ro-dawg pretty well. Slap a Limsan accent on that and you're all good.

Definitely some high quality stuff. If anyone's interested in getting involved in tribe-like RP, this here's the place.

balmung the night nurse [miqo'te rogue-healer]

Sounds like something fun could be brewed from this. Feel free to contact me, or friend me, in-game and we can set something up. -

Partial to this one, I'd say.

Not to diminish your argument, (there's an au ra in broad tavern-light in Foundation, after all), but I believe that the roegadyn is a foreign adventurer, not a native Ishgardian. I believe the Roe chef in Costa is a native of Ishgard if I'm not mistaken, have to recheck though. /randomroefactsIthinkIknow There is, yeah. He mentions that his family served in House Dzemael. EDIT: "But if I wasn't bowing and scraping to some pretentious Ul'dahn mechant, I reckon I'd be doing the same to Count Dzemael. That may have suited my father and grandfather, but I've aspirations for a better life." He's involved in the 1.0 Adders/Darkhold quest. "Into the Dark (Gridania)" http://ffxiv.gamerescape.com/wiki/Into_the_Dark_(Gridania)/Plot_Details Picture of him then:

Had to dig this out from a while ago, but, during 1.0 the NPC K'leytai was an Ishgardian Knight. Riversmeet, if I remember correctly. http://ffxiv.gamerescape.com/wiki/K'leytai Her dialogue: "Welcome to Camp Riversmeet. I am Gatewarden K'leytai. Our men and women keep vigil over the outlying areas of the Wyrmking's Perch, The Lance, and Twinpools." Take it as you will, but there has at least been one. Rare, no doubt. Hope that helps in some sort of decision you're making, OP.

Sounds like something I'd be interested in. Eir has herself a few students as well, wouldn't mind getting in contact with other folk. Could be opening for some fun RP.

Oh, thank you very much! If possible, I have a small request.

Thank you for this bit, and to all of those saying things about the dead nation stuff and what-have-you, it's not about having some form of feigned greatness or higher station than what other Domans may or may not have. The root of it all is to have some form of history and character background that could be used later on for development of story and the like. Would it come up in regular RP? No, probably not, but it would be something that's nice to have as basically an added spice to the character, especially should more information arise or even for certain uses. It could also be used for personality reasonings though I don't plan for my Raen to be very stuck up anyway, but perhaps just have that sort of air about it. Y'know... I am on Balmung ^.~ @Ronin Below: That's cool! (Realizing after reading that I didn't even do certain things, whoopsie! ) Can you give me some sources and such so I can look further into it? There is almost nothing, other than basic lore from the Au Ra conventions and their information, about the rest of Othard. Tidbits here and there from items as well, if you care to read them. Further on the NIN quest: Edit: I've gone ahead and screenshotted and uploaded all the 50-60 journal entries for the NIN quest, in case you wish to read them yourself. (Yes there are only two, beginning and end.)
-
Bit of spoiler, but, helpful. Do remember that Doma is indeed razed, but, we don't know about the rest of Othard and how much has been fully conquered. There could be pockets of cities, nobles residing in said cities, villages, etc. It's fairly vague and I wouldn't put a ton of specifics into the idea. Leave it open, but seated in some sort of plausibility until we either get lore or, perhaps, just a reasoning why your character would be present in Eorzea.

Warrior of Darkness is apparently a copy of our Midlander friend. He also resides on the moon with the White-robed Ascian. Also, the goblins "accidentally" summon Alexander.

The Great Crash of '15 - Gripes and Rants Are Going Heavensward
Ronin'ra replied to Nero's topic in FFXIV Discussion
I logged out about 6 hours for a nap since I've been constantly leveling and, when I got up, I got lobby errors (2002). I just spam logged in until it let me, no issues since. A friend suggested, if you're getting 5006, try flushing your DNS. -
A friend of mine just entered his. Depending on where you got it, he got an e-mail for the pre-order but not for the license. He had to go into his purchase history and then it was there. Can't be much more help on that front, I got my version off of Steam. Was just all in one place. I'm sure some'll post with the instructions via other purchased methods here shortly.
-
Wait, what do you mean by the Heavensward key? I thought we did that when we enter the preorder code. And I didn't receive a e-mail about needing to enter a second code to actually play the game. One is a pre-order code for early access and the headband and stuff. The actual license for the game itself, to attach it to your account, is a secondary one. Steam, it's right in the CD key list. As per from the store or whichever, most likely e-mail.
-
You'll also need to go into the Mog Station and enter in the actual Heavensward key to activate your copy (giant rectangle button at the top). From there, it gave me a secondary download from the expansion when I re-opened the launcher. That was just a patch for 3.0. Second one's about 4-5 more gigs.

Oatmeal, energy drinks and water at the ready. Staying up all night so I can sleep up till opening tomorrow morning. I'm ready for snow level.

What kind of punching are we talking about? I have a deep, if somewhat recent interest in boxing, personally. I bought a heavy bag about half a year ago and god damn do I love it. I've done about seven years of Muay Thai and six in BJJ (Brazilian jiu-jitsu). A bit of Okinawan karate thrown in there with some judo.

Former employee at a lumber yard. I now currently train and punch people for prize money. Or, have been for six-ish years during odd jobs.
