  1. I violently oppose the viewpoint of spiny penises.
  2. I used it as a joke once but I'm not sure how my group treats that. Probably not?
  3. I'm proud of myself. I've gotten Ganale, Chao, and R'tahz up to date. -Sigh- But I need to un-bulletize Seno's history, add history to Yuuna and Garon, and out and out make Cres' page. -Headdesk-
  4. I think I have one same-race pairing. Ganale has been infatuated with miqo'te all his life, though he's never split hairs about keepers or seekers. He knows all the differences yeah, because he's a creeper and tried to learn everything about miqo'te he could, but whether an object of his affection is a sun cat or a night cat has never bothered him. Though given he's confessed to a Keeper who is practically snubbing him partially because she's a snooty scholarly type and partially because her upbringing has imparted a sexist mindset, and he has a daytime job in the Sagolii Desert when he lives in the Lavender Beds means they like never get to see each other... Yeah, he's had a bad love live. Tahz is married to another Seeker so he's the one. Granted they're different tribes but they both didn't like the way their lives were going so left and met later. Babies ever after. Seno and Motoko are both hyur, but she's highlander and he's midlander. But I honestly don't even differentiate between the two, nor do I ...-Ponders- In retrospect, I only differentiate between Keepers and Seekers.... So yeah. Those two are technically cross-race. Oh, wait, no, Garon and Tessa are also both midlanders. REDACTED: THOSE TWO ARE NOT A COUPLE I'M NOT KIDDING. Cres and Maresia are a midlander and a Keeper, but they're odd in that they're not together (yet) and she's...not...technically..? a miqo'te. Long story. Yuuna and Hotaru are great, Yuuna is a midlander and Hotaru's going to be an Au Ra. That's going to be fun.
  5. That's not to say it's not feasible. If you're diligent about doing dailies every day and your weekly every time it's available, that's 548 seals per week. Plus whatever scraps you might can pick up from an A or S.
  6. If anything, on the nature of hunts, they're really spoiled at the moment because everybody and their brother is trying to grind the seals to buy the unstained tomes so they can upgrade their Ironworks. Because of that, the average life expectancy of an A or S rank hunt (the most lucrative) can be measured in seconds. It's further my observation that there are 'snipers' as I've heard them called, groups that go find a mark, only tell their own people, wait until they've all gathered, announce it, then pull less than five seconds later. It is my recommendation that if you're doing hunts, you focus on your dailies and weekly. Sure it will take a hell of a lot longer but you won't have to deal with the frustration of not getting credit, or getting a pittance credit, on a bigger mark.
  7. My lady and I have always played it that there's alchemical potion contraceptives if it were to come up seriously, but for the most part we abide by the "don't want X pairing to have behbehs yet"
  8. Nah, you're not the only one who treats lore as a suggestion. -Looks sternly at Chao, Garon, and Yuuna-
  9. Mor Dhona is dead center of Eorzea, north of Thanalan, and south of the Shroud and Coerthas. It's basically due northeast across the sea from Limsa. As for tribes there? Ehh...I dunno.
  10. Making this suggestion is hypocritical as all hell, but put up a thread in the player connections. That sounds like something that would probably get a lot of interested people.
  11. It's perfectly cool to keep the Nunh title even if you're not. Like I said, it can generate a little RP with you having to explain it all the time. Plus, if you ran into R'tahz (not too terribly likely since he avoids Limsa like the plague), you'd make him uneasy.
  12. On the note of race, my two miqo'te are weird. R'tahz was born tribal and lived that way for the majority of his life, but getting his ass beat fifteen consecutive times trying to become nunh soured him on the whole ideal, and when his tribe was forced to combine with another R' tribe after the Calamity and he got eliminated in the first round (to nobody's surprise) of a tournament-style nunh challenge, he finally got fed up with it all and left the tribe. He kept his prefix and title because he was too lazy to come up with his own name, but because of his experiences he's skittish around other seekers, especially R' tribe, because "The Boy Who Could Not Be a Man" is pretty common knowledge in his parts and he's tired of hearing it. Granted, nowadays he's less bothered by it since he got himself married to another tribal outcast, but he still doesn't want to deal with it. On that note, he's pretty much terrified of the prospect of running into any nunh from either R' or J' because he holds the irrational fear that they might try to forcefully take J'karu from him on the grounds that he's never been a nunh. Nevermind that any offending party would get lit the -EXPLICATIVE DELETED- on fire by J'karu. And he has yet to realize that he, himself, would stab his fake Gae Bolg through somebody who tried to do that with an extreme prejudice. Now Chao, Chao is a train-wreck of lore. Long story short she's a tech genius from Doma who has no tribal affiliations and looks down on tribal Seekers as primitive.
  13. Not technically. If your guy was the actual nunh of his tribe and for whatever reason decided to peace out, no one is going to force him to stop calling himself that. Well, some might try to, but that might make for some interesting RP, yes? Keeping the title would mean having to explain that "yes, I actually was a nunh, no, I left my tribe, no, I still keep the title because it sounds pretty" or whatever his reasoning is.
  14. Negative. They only can be considered a nunh if they're actively trying to start their own. Miqo's who quit their tribe can either keep their tia title or drop it entirely in favor of an actual surname. R'tahz kept the tia title because he's unimaginative and couldn't think of a surname, nor did he really actually care. He's just started to consider that his actual surname or something like that.
  15. I'm not up on my Limsa lore because I only half pay attention to cutscenes that take place there but there's like a dozen miqo'te throughout the Maelstrom, and I want to say I saw an NPC miqo in a pirate crew somewhere in either a seasonal event o...Oh, it's the quest to get the dance from Limsa. Female miqo in that pirate crew.
  16. It worked for Chao. I just had the misfortune of having someone else literally walk straight up to me before I could get involved. We'll get on it someday. Maybe tonight if I get tired of t4 not giving me the MNK gear.
  17. Well, I was going for least lore-applicable miqo but I think you won.
  18. As a self-titled ultra-loner who hates to do work getting RP, gripes all the time about going to fish for RP, always feels like an unwelcome outsider in well-established forums like this (and therefore feels that making use of the player connections forum would be a waste of bytes), and has admittedly written over half my characters into RP corners, I still take Chao to the QS at least once a week and fish for RP (badly; staring at one's notebook doesn't make for compelling bait). Now that I think about it, there's really no point here and it doesn't contribute anything, but I'll leave it as a reminder to come back later and go into brief about some of my characters.
  19. Interesting. I just thought that bridge area was over top.
  20. Ohai, I'm like a stalker or something. Hope you enjoy yourself and perhaps soon we can get you in touch with Seno and Motoko.
  21. My character in question is Seno Nakakami, but I don't get on him often unless prompted or I feel the wild hair up my ass to try to farm CT for the MNK gear for his retainer.
  22. None of my characters have Echo, but if the 2.5 cutscene I watched yesterday is any indication, it still allows language comprehension because the player could understand an Ascian while Moenbryda could not.
  23. Would that I'd gone trolling the LS directory earlier. Me and my ladyfriend have a pair of Domans who are looking to rebuild their destroyed swordsmanship school in Eorzea and while I can't speak directly for her, I think it a reasonable assumption that we'd like to get involved with other Doman RPers.
