1. Apologies for double post, but Gwannes, it says that you're full up on linkshells.
2. No problem, I for one am happy to build the Doman RP network.
3. Consider yourself invited, Shio! And we don't--at least I don't--consider that a disqualifier, Xheja. We have an Ala Mhigan-born half-Doman in, so let me know when you're on Meiko and I'll try to jump over to Seno to invite. I'm on right as we speak, so...
4. I will use my handy new invite powers. But a search for Gwannes shows no results.
5. I feel bad now basically flooding this LS with a bunch of alts of myself and my girlfriend.
6. Aaaaaaaaaand there goes my work productivity... Actually, come to think of it, I'll probably be alright. My folks don't start showing up until around noon-ish.
7. Right, time to copy pasta over from the Pokémon forum I play on, where most of my FF characters either originated or have expies. Disclaimer: The forum I come from doesn't have a restriction on movelists, letting our Pokémon interchangeably know any move that appears in any of their set lists. I list ten moves on my Pokémon as a general-purpose idea of what they're capable of. Chris Ganale, the Airman Garon Crayson, the Mercenary Ren Tauße, the Wanderer Chao Lingshen, the Timesnatcher Yuuna Akashi, the ODST Seno Nakakami, the Samurai In conclusion, the coding on this forum sucks.
8. I feel like I'm not making myself clear. The entire reason to get such....blessings of the city-states....is in the event a player who is of law enforcement capacity feels the need to cause a problem, but I figure that the response will be 'well there's nothing that says they have to care even if presented with a legal document.'
9. Well, I use 'accreditation' as descriptive term. "Licensed and legally allowed to operate in their territory" is what I'm after.
10. Thieves and assassins are someone else's problem.
11. At this point I probably am going to just make my own organization. However, I'm disinclined to make it an FC because I would no longer be able to self-gear my character, and I would imagine a lot of other people who play bounty hunters would be very torn about leaving their current FC. So I may discuss it with a couple of my buddies and maybe set up a new linkshell later on tonight. In bringing it back to accreditation, or "street cred" for a simpler term, or hell, to be entirely honest about what it is, RP cred. I did have it in mind to create this group and put in its description that they're recognized by the city-states to act in their territories, but I half-expect that such a proclamation would be greeted...unfavorably, to put it mildly.
12. Guess I need to pen "start the bounty hunters' guild" into my to-do list.
13. So, in finally putting together some RPC work for my bounty hunter, I came upon a point in my writing where I note him as being an accredited bounty hunter, something I also referenced the last time he very nearly got himself stabbed in RP for showing up in armor at a private residence. That aside, I'm curious if there are any recognized accreditation sources in-game, more looking toward community-recognized sources rather than out-and-out mentions in lore. The reason being that if he's wandering around in Ul'dah and somebody from one of the various law enforcement groups accosts him, I'd like to be able to present his credentials if it gets that serious and not be promptly laughed at by whoever's on the other end of the screen. EDIT: In specific, it's accreditation as a member of a bounty hunters' guild, but I don't know how relevant that would be to the immediate query.
14. You very, very much underestimate the popularity of DRK. It's in at least the top 10 most popular jobs, if not top 5.
15. No, it's really not meant to be tank. We have two sword tanking classes already, what we need is a sword dps.
16. My google-fu is clearly not up to scruff.
17. It was in one of the live letters. He said that SAM felt more a dps than a tank to him. It was a while ago and my girlfriend follows those more closely than I do.
18. Yoshi's already said that SAM will be dps, not tank.
19. An otherwise unnotable man when not in his armor--such to the point that he wouldn't even be recognized on the street as the bounty hunter in magitek armor--Garon's eye was drawn, as it always was, by the mark of a wanted poster on the boards in Gridania, and he paused to scrutinize the leaflet. It being Gridania, of course, there was no mention of reward for this Garlean's capture, presuming there was one at all. The Gridanians and their "Elementals' law" were oftentimes vague and contradictory as to whether a hunter would be paid for the hard work he put in to bring in an acquisition. "Lot of Garleans suddenly causing trouble..." Garon murmured to himself, producing a sheaf of parchment from a pocket and a pencil to take down the details of the wanted mark in order to discuss payment with the Adders. If the pay was good, and it didn't interfere with the contract he was already pursuing, then he might give it his attention.
20. I don't have any links on-hand but from what I hear, the child supposedly takes traits from only one of the parents, but I'm fairly certain that when/if Sabine (miqo'te) and Ganale (hyur) have a kid, we'll ignore that little bit and have the kid have partial traits of both.
21. Seno and Motoko are the only ones who have anything set down in regards to child-rearing. They will, eventually, have at least one daughter, thematically named Kagami (mirror) due to the fact that she has her mother's beauty, her father's attitude, and both their talent. R'tahz and J'karu will probably have kids, because her player has commented on them having dozens of babies and I am frightfully unsure of whether or not she was joking.... Ganale and Sabine will probably have one or two, if those two boneheads can ever get together :dodgy:.
22. Sins against Garlemald aren't really sins, per se...
23. I'm just a lazy player and recycle characters in whatever new game I play them in. Tahz is my only FF original. And then I ported him out of it into Pokémon and Gundam Build Fighters, so far. Chao is a special case. She is explicitly an alternate-universe version of another character of the same name, who is a whole other can of worms nobody wants to get into.
24. Yeah, this is why I usually use the normal word because I can't bring myself to even consciously misspell such a common word.
