Hey there, and welcome to FFXIV! If you need a hand, or someone to RP with, you can contact me on Mhaya Bajihri (My main) or Crashing Waterfall (My alt)! I'd be happy to do what I can to help. -

balmung Crafting Faire, Saturday December 12th, 8 PM EST!
MBajihri posted a topic in Chronicled Events
Hello everyone! As the title suggests, we are working on hosting a Crafting Faire with the intent of providing high-quality gear to low level players while roleplaying at the area we're setting up shop! For this first event, we are deciding to set up at Mih Khetto's Ampitheatre in Old Gridania. We are looking for upwards of three crafters of each job able to produce high-quality gear up to Level 32 for any new players, lowbies, or people levelling a new class! Below I'm going to go over a few things as well as list off our current crafters! Due to the astounding success of the first Crafting Faire, we are deciding to host a Crafting Faire once a month! It brought a lot of people together, and we made a lot of people gear! I'm personally extremely happy with all of the RP this brought to Gridania as well! http://i.imgur.com/SVCHHra.jpg[/img] How many items can one person have made? Any player is welcome to one item per equipment slot! This is to keep materials going about as long as possible. Are crafters expected to bring their own materials? For the most part, a -lot- of materials for items up to Level 32 can be sold at various vendors. Other items that are not will be provided by one of our suppliers. At the most I estimate a crafter to only have to spend 50-60k gil on materials. If this is an issue I am willing to help front the bill, but it's only 2-3 days of Hunt bills to recoup this cost! Is there any incentive for level-capped roleplayers without a craft to attend this event? Of course! Any and all are welcome to come roleplay with us, show support, etc. The reason we're working with other free companies to make this a regular(hopefully!) event is to help out newer players as they trickle onto Balmung, and help out veteran players hoping to try out a new class. Current list of crafters is below! Note, we can use all the help we can get! This event will be for a few hours only and we hope to make a big impact on new players! I'd love to attend! Will mark this on some paper on my desk for tomorrow.

Great turnout tonight, and great RP as always! I want to thank everyone who attended, if you're reading this! -
Feel free to whisper me when you get onto Balmung! I'd be happy to chat with you about RP and stuff! Also, having a few friends at your destination will always make it seem a little less lonesome.

 A Bit About Us: Quarry's Run is a fairly new Free Company, formed about one to two months ago. As a theme, we consider our characters that represent the company to be serious monster hunters. If there's a threat, chances are we'll be itching to eliminate it for the safety and well-being of those in nearby settlements! While payment in gil is a great motivator for most of our missions, there are missions we will take up without pay if we feel it's simply the right thing to do. If your character is, say, a farmer and is suffering problems by a large pack of wolves, but is unable to pay for the services of proper mercenaries, it would be a job Quarry's Run is willing to take to give the client peace of mind. :geek: As a Free Company, what are some activities that a potential member may look forward to? Quarry's Run prioritizes in RP events with an emphasis on story-building and character development! However, we also have an interest in PvE, such as dungeons and unsync'd glamour or mount runs. PvP is a lighter interest and seems to be more a personal choice. (A few of our members partake a lot, but some are more sparing!). We have a few crafters willing to teach others interested in taking up Disciples of the Hand and Land. Out of game, a few of our members are working on building up a twitch stream for older RPG's such as Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 1-6, the Lufia series and more! Any member is willing to participate and/or (If they have their own stream) are welcome to show us what they're interested in! While small, we do our best to include anyone and everyone in our activities. :?How does the usual Quarry's Run Interview go when speaking with an interested member? Quarry's Run has a two-part interview system that helps us get a feel for our new potential member! Part one is an OOC interview, where we generally talk to you, get to know you, ask about you and have you ask about us! We provide details about the Free Company, IC and OOC, our voice chat preference, as well as our usual times for events and their styles. Part two is the In-Character interview, most often held at our Free Company estate! At this part of the interview, we get to see how your character interacts with two to three of our officers as they give you the IC rundown of how things work and the kinds of monsters and messes you may experience in the future as a member of Quarry's Run. At this point if the interview is satisfactory, we will extend an invitation to the Free Company proper and make offer for the IC Linkshell! This leads us to.... :dazed:"Satisfactory?" What determines that?!:dazed: Don't worry! This is pretty much to prove that your character isn't an Allagan God turned Warrior of Light with psychic powers strong enough to melt the average human brain. We greatly support creative and innovative RP ideas, but there are some things that I'm sure anyone wouldn't be able to accept! What if I'm shy or rather quiet? Entirely fine! In Quarry's Run, the goal amongst members is to help facilitate a friendly and relaxing environment while keeping our eyes on the prize. Nobody will force you to talk if you're not comfortable, and will let you adapt at your own pace! Still, upon logging on if other members are on, expect a flood of hellos! :cactuar: One Important note here::cactuar: I feel it's greatest to make this known so the reader has knowledge of this before joining or applying: As a free company we're a fairly blunt group of people! I can safely say that we are not for everyone. On voice chat, we're rather loud and rambunctious and most of the time OOC we can be seen as extremely silly. However, despite how we may appear, I can guarantee that members of Quarry's Run at the core are kind people willing to assist their company mates and others. :moogle: Is Quarry's Run's Free Company chat IC or OOC?:moogle: FC chat is OOC! However, we do possess an IC Linkshell for members and allies of the company that we use to help with events. Usually, the ''DM'' of the event will post large posts for enemies, clues, etc in the shell to help minimize clutter and spam to others nearby. 8-) Sounds pretty cool! Who would I /tell to get in contact with Quarry's Run? Quarry's Run as of late has a few members who are on at various hours of the day, and would be willing to speak to interested individuals! Below will be their names and their most commonly-seen hours online: Mhaya Bajihri (Online most EST afternoons to nights!) Ambagai Haragin (Online at random times CST!) Avesa Iseth (Online most afternoons and usually one of our late-night members!)

balmung Seeking FC and/or buddies? (Guard/shield for hire)
MBajihri replied to R'mehro's topic in Chronicled Connections
Feel free to shoot me a tell if you'd like to RP! My Free Company and I do not mind including others in our shenanigans. We've been trying to reach out to more in the community as well! -
You'd find a lot of roleplayers on Balmung that are open to walkups and story-building. I'm a bit biased, but I'd say it's worth it for the RP alone!

Setoh, your avatar makes me chuckle everytime I see it. -
You can poke me for RP! I'm usually online and around, but sometimes I need a prod or two to RP!
-
I'd be happy to RP if you'd like! Shoot me a /tell sometime.

We hit the hunt mob too hard and blew up Balmung, I'm sorry everyone! (Really though I knew we were crashing when there was no item reward!)
-
Mhaya would be thankful for her friends that keep her in line and feeling wanted and loved. She'd be thankful for alcoholic cider, finger sandwiches and cockatrice meatballs. She'd then be really thankful for having the opportunity to adventure with aforementioned friends. Also, Happy Thanksgiving to everybody!

Hotheaded troublemaker looking for connections
MBajihri replied to Masteryopa's topic in Chronicled Connections
You can shoot me a message if you'd like another person to RP with! Mhaya's a little hotheaded in her own right. Aside that, she runs a Bi-weekly card tournament and can sometimes be found travelling and fighting monsters. I'm always looking for more people interested in story-driven RP. -
I agree about the MSQ; it felt far too short to me. On the topic of Void Ark drops, I've seen so many doubles of gear that nobody needs dropping that items are likely to be wasted anyway! (I could see 2 per week being a little more forgiving, but when all items are open, everyone rolls on it anyway!). As per Thordan EX, I'm loving the fight, but finding a solid group is like pulling teeth. The 4-mans are probably my favorite thing so far, design-wise and loot-wise. I like the throwback to an older FF, and I'm in love with the Plague Bringer's gear! Lastly, Diadem has kind of roped me in, but not fully. I love gathering there (As FC mates and I aren't fond of the MB pricings of the new gear) and some of the monsters are fun. I feel it's way too trollable, though. (We've had 3 star mobs up at once and groups would pull them in to forcibly wipe us). That aside, great concept, and I hope to see where they decide to expand upon it!

Hey there, everyone! I'm bored, so I'm posting this out of curiosity. What are some of your favorite things 3.1 has brought to the table? Are there any things you feel they've done really well, or could have done better? For me, I really love the new Minstrel's Ballad fight, as well as Saint Mocianne's Arboretum. I feel the dungeon adds just enough mechanics to where it's engaging without being too overbearing. I look forward to reading responses between dungeons!

Bumping this up! Always looking for people to help do some shouts to advertise for the tournament! Even if you're not a big fan of TT, you're welcome to come by for the RP! -
Hey there, everyone! As of the launch of 3.1, I've been kicking my crafting into high-gear once again! I'm making this post to assist any and all in need of having things made for housing, glamour, etc! With 3.1 prioritizing Specialists, what specialists can you expect from me? I am currently a Weaver and Leatherworker 2-star Specialist! Soon I will be adding Goldsmith to the list to be able to make the entire Sky Pirate's set, including masks for Monks or Ninjas! What if I'm looking for a Blacksmith, Armorer or Carpenter Specialist?! Not to worry! I am currently helping build a Free Company mate's crafting melds up to where they can provide 2-star Carpentry, Blacksmithing and Armorer specialties to anyone in need of synths. Like myself, there is no crafting fee, as we've talked over the importance of providing with ease to those who want the new Sky Pirate's gear and more. Do I need to bring my own materials? Come prepared with your own mats! In the event you forget, say, one Crawler Silk or one Amphiptere Leather, we're likely to just cover it for you, no charge! I've made quite a few material listing mistakes myself, and in the past other crafters have covered me. It's a really nice feeling, as most of the crafting community that I'm connected to are -extremely- nice people. In turn, I want to turn that kindness to others and help them without the dreaded feeling of a 400k crafting fee per item. Is there a crafting fee? No crafting fee at all! If you feel the desire to tip me, that is entirely your choice. I'm just happy to be making these sweet glamours for people! Sounds awesome! How do I contact you? Find me In-game on Mhaya Bajihri! Shoot me a tell and ask if I'm currently crafting! The only times I likely won't be are RP, Trial farming, or assisting my Free Company. In the event I am doing any of those, I will give you an estimated time that I will be able to assist you! I'm looking forward to talking with and doing business with anyone in need! If you need a materials list for a specific item, xivdb.com may have updated material lists. If not, let me know and I would be happy to provide them for you. ^^

I wanna beat up new monsters. : / In all seriousness though, this has given me time to enjoy a class I've never played in Borderlands 2! Thanks for the update on the launcher!
