  1. Character Name: U'Kihl Amalle Nickname: Kihl Race/Clan: Seeker Gender: Male Character Role: Supporting Hero/ Minor Character Synopsis: You'd find him with his sister anywhere in Thanalan. Maybe Ul'dah maybe out in the wild fighting a lesser variant of Mahees, Zanig'oh, etc etc. If he's taken in by main party or at least is in an auxiliary group to the main party his sister comes along with him, no negotiations. What he could bring to the table is his knowledge of most beasts as well as some degree of skill with the skillet and roasting spit. That and the ability to read and write...roughly. Personality: Kihl cannot, for the life of him, shut up about his interests if someone so happens to share the same interests. He's a chatterbox most of the time, taking any and every opportunity to snipe at something, for example stating colorful and verbose insults at what he fights. Helps keep him calm in the middle of a fight or so he says. (example, "Your mother is older than Garlemald and I hear your father was already too senile before Aldenard was even named."). He's not fond of people testing his nerves and either walks away or tries to one up the other guy. He has standards he holds himself to and expects others to do the same, granted, his standards aren't high to begin with. He has a level head to offset his sister's impulsiveness. He also takes pride in his non-tribal upbringing. He feels very responsible for whatever his sister does and almost always keeps an eye on her. Background: Kihl was abandoned to the Sagolii when he was five after a supposed incident in his tribe. He was convinced his father wanted him dead but a good fistfight and a calm sit and talk session quickly cleared that up. He can read and write to some degree and that is due to his foster father, an exiled Ishgardian dragoon. He had also learned how to use a lance because of his foster father. Though he's not a dragoon himself, just a cat with a pointy stick and the sense to gather literature about beasts so he knows where to poke a certain monster and what works well against them. Strengths: He's fast on his feet and has quite the endurance. Kihl's eyes are sharp and usually pick things that stand out fairly quickly. He has a good sense of direction and makes it a point to remember things. His hearing is impeccable as well. Couple all that with a spear and a some knowledge on fighting certain monsters and you have Kihl in a physical nutshell. He's patient in the sense he knows how to wait and study and observe. Mentally, he has quite the persevering spirit fueled by his desire to prove himself. Flaws: Despite his leg strength he's still a little on weak side. He's also got his glaring confidence for others to contend with some times. It doesn't help that he's not one to slow down for almost everyone else. He has quite the low tolerance for people who start bragging about themselves endlessly. Sometimes it takes him a while to make a decision too and, more often than not, ends up dealing with whatever his little sister decides to do. His penchant for flair and flashy moves sometimes makes for very impractical actions with poor results. Exaggeration and Embellishment are some requirements for being a good story teller after all and it is a philosophy he applies to almost anything. Likes: Stories, learning something, intellectual exchanges, long walks, taking some time alone to reflect. Dislikes: Other Seekers of the Sun, idiots, people who are wrong but don't seem to notice it, people who are wrong and notice it but don't do anything about it, Sandworms. Engrish Reading: Kiru Amarru. Voice: Josh Grelle (Byakuya Togami variant, EN), Akira Ishida (JP)
  2. How does next thursday like 10pm EDT sound to you guys?
  3. DID SOMEONE SAY MULTIPLE CHARACTERS?! I kinda wanna put my Seeker siblings here since they'll be replaced by my Au Ra in game anyway if that's alright with you? Altered backstory and all that crap but they're both Lancers a catguy and catgirl.
  4. Aaand I'm back and alive sort of. Now to work on getting Nah, Ramen and Kurt out of their hiatus states. Of course Nah and Kurt are accounted for and I just need to figure out times for Ramen's own stuff.
  5. I'd sell a lot for a Balthier or Jihl outfit.
  6. I just gotta ask how many hours is difference between CST to EST? #notnorthamerican. Anyway if we can all supply some est/edt answers that'd be nice. Just so I dont have to math as much. Also what's the difference est to edt? Also at earliest we'd be doing this on the night of june 2nd but the week later would be the safer bet. EDIT: Also, if anyone wants to do the other runs and variants we can work something out too
  7. So I guess we're doing the voidsent extermination run. So what are your available times?
  8. Kurt awoke in the night. A thin sheen of sweat coated his body. At the very least that meant his body was doing its job of flushing out the toxins he was afflicted by. He was in the infirmary, there wasn't anyone else there with him at the moment. That probably meant the hard part was over and he wasn't in any immediate danger anymore. He snuck out and back to his room. Despite the silence and darkness that greeted him, he felt more at home here than any other part of the base. He ignited the small lamp he always left on the counter. The light first illuminated is workstation. The pots, pans, oils and the like looked pristine and untouched and a bit too organized. He wasn't entirely certain no one was being stand-in cook for the outfit. Still he pushed that out of his mind and illuminated the dining area. No dodos sat on trays for anyone to grab a bite from. Kurt made his way back to his room. The loom was untouched as was the arrangement if his room. He walked straight to his drawers and pulled one of them open, retrieving a pen and a worn, red book. He had one before but that was long misplaced and he had bought a newer one instead. He opened his dresser and slipped on his usual clothes. Making the least amount of noise possible, he wove his way through the compound and out its gates. Even on somewhat unsteady legs he wandered the Goblet for a placd to sit down and pen his thoughts. There were many and no places to choose from. The evening Thanalan breeze chilled him. The bite was a bit colder than usual. In the end, he had settled in a fairly secluded part of the ward. Nothing but his lamp to provide light as well as Menphina and her children. He took a deep breath and began inscribing the chaotic symphony of his mind. XWg-dJHRqIc I wonder how that boy, fresh off the Lominsa-bound boat, would react if he saw me. Would he swell with pride or be terrified of his future? I wonder how I have become this in such a short time. I wonder how things would unfold if I had made different choices. If I had not said yes to Nako'li. If I had went after her instead of sitting and waiting. A mistake I hope miss C'eleni would not commit. If had just left that child alone in Ul'dah rather than to the Mist. All those and do much more yet silence will always look be the answer. Life, unlike this partial and possibly noisy little book, has no repeat nor second chance. It is simply playing what cards are dealt to you. And that's what I've been doing. But somehow I feel so lost. I dont even know why I write this. Maybe its because I am so used to writing to Jancis almost every night. Maybe I just want to reaffirm who I was and stay on that track. I don't know.
  9. The voidsent variant right? Anyway Nins is a what exactly? Also, Seno is what too? Kell can fill in for any role. Ramen can tank or DPS.
  10. I'm actually banking on Jancis showing up to treat Kurt or something.
  11. Kurt Steel vs. Cliodhna Eoghan Battle intro:
  12. Miss inkwood. Im leaving in 45 mins. Anyway I'll be sure to POKE YOU FOR MOARRRRR
  13. Ehh blindsided. He's been out of it lately and he's carrying stress like you wouldn't believe. Which is giving his body some difficulty in flushing out some otherwise weakassed toxins. EDIT: Also which of the runs do you want to take part of? Or do you have your own twist you wanna try out?
  14. I'd say swallow that nervousness and reach out to people. If you've done it before you can do it again. Hell I might be leaving in an hour but if I didn't knock Kurt out of action, I'd have him haul Nat's ass to his office, Nat's and Clio's so Nat would at least know a few more people in the RWings. But yeah, start out by reaching out to someone *cough*Clioamongafewothers*cough* in the RWings..if you're still in there Nat.
  15. Essentially after my hiatus, before I set Ramona, Nah and Kurt back into the RP scene. I want to signal their returns with something. Now Kurt and Nah are accounted for. A healer would check up on Kurt recovering from poisons, while Nat mounts a Nah rescue! So for Ramona's IC runs I've a few ideas stewing in my head. SV NM run Assassinate some Dravanian Lt or something. -or- Rescue someone, I dunno some lower Ishgardian noble's kid or something. DD run This could be a sort of treasure or relic hunt -or- Voidsent extermination. AV run Rescue someone -or- Go on a treasure hunt. SV HM run Simply help Ishgardians retake SV -or- Lt. Assassination Snowcloak Cultist hunting -or- Relic hunting SoF Rack a huge body count while taking on a Major or equivalent Dravanian. *Ramen is trying to get on some Ishgardian's good side so they could maybe let her in come 3.0 *For the rescue ops. I think it'd do nicely if the one being rescued was an Ishgardian PC themselves. *To that end some Ishgardian contact for Ramomo would be nice too. It's a long shot and I'm probably bending cultural viewpoints quite a bit but I'd like to say that even on my hiatus, Ramona is trying to gain favor behind the scenes up in the highlands. Nah is making headway into sating her vendetta. Kurt is out of action and recovering from a high dose of diremite toxins. Thoughts? Interest?
  16. Feels good standing up for the little guy. So we're doing a WP HM run. Tank was fresh, Bard was decently geared and I was a flat i100. The healer, a WHM, was decked in full Dreadwyrm's including a zeta sporting Aug'd IW gear. Run starts, everything goes to shit. Healer is like berating all of us for being noobs. I take note of what he was doing the next go round. He's in cleric stance. I say nothing just yet. The tank, being so fresh was obviously feeling the pressure. He kept apologizing when he did nothing wrong, because I see him pop his cd's and holmgang things when it just got too dicey. Now that was beginning to bug me because you don't get that many people willing to tank anything these days and he's still getting shit for doing his job. We, meaning I, managed to 1v1 the first boss through some miracle. Healer starts berating us again. Halfway through the run the healer goes something like this. I tried to make sense of his less than average english. "Hey drg, I'm out dpsing you as a healer." "And?" "So that means you suck. -insert more epeen waving-" That's when I decided to tear him a new one for the sake of the entire team. "I won't deny that, but look at my gear versus yours. A zenith versus a zeta and pointing out higher dps? I smell a tryhard. I'm also not decked in Dreadwyrms but I think I have enough common sense to be a healer and not run cleric stance 24/7 SINCE THE START OF THE RUN. Did you know I'm a better healer then? Because my basic thrusts paired with bloodbath heals for way more than you could ever recover." "It's not like the tank would say anything though, he's been apologizing for his 'shitty' tanking this run when he's not doing anything wrong. He's pulling at his pace and you're just making the run harder by pulling more than he can handle and churn out less than average heals I think a BLM physickspamming heals for more." *Initiates vote dismiss* *Dismisses healer* *Gets a lower geared healer, probably not higher than i100. Finishes run without any further deaths.* *Gives a few tips to the tank.* It geels good to stand up for others. Also to help out the newer wave of aspiring tanks.
  17. Hiatus starts in 3 hours after this post!
  18. Just for the hell of it. Young Kurt is just chilling in the Wench, getting used to life in Limsa when a random green eyed lady just approaches him out of nowhere. YK: Who're you? MS: I'm you. YK: Me? MS: Yes. Katrina Steel at your service...Kurt. YK: If yo-- KS: You got thrown off the boat by mom when you were five, around the time you started learning how to use that axe on your back. I know for a fact you had no idea what you're doing here and you never really did want to leave home as much as mom kicked you out. YK: I...see. And young Kurt sold all his meager possessions including the axe for a ticket back to Wineport. Just nopes out of the whole situation.
  19. Does that mean she's back to claim the Little Ram? Also what times are you on...in our timezone?
  20. Kid Kurt would be terrified and very unsettled about how he would grow up. This guy, who just keeps on getting hurt by the people around him no matter what he does. Kid Ramona would wonder why she even calls herself Ramona to begin with. That's not her name. Kid Nah would just stare at her current self in awe. So cool....
  21. The Derplander looks like he's packing a ragnarok....I feel so inadequate.
  22. You just need more Ramona time! No, I think a bit of RP at least might help. Otherwise just take a break really. Let it pass for a few days then come back or something? I'm kind of in the same boat. Kind of.
