I'm almost sure the fear and shock drove them both to cardiac arrest and Ram, in her panic, did not think to use the Physick spell that was in the back of her head somewhere. But that's beside the point. She's not exactly aware that she was the cause of death but has since rationalized it to be Hydealyn calling her parents back or something. Of course that was nigh a year ago as well. Now, after accepting that she's pretty much on her own in the world, she's looked to refreshing her studies in Aether manipulation. Namely, how to turn a lush green countryside into small patch of burning wasteland with the least amount of effort required. She has exhibited bountiful aether in the past but the two years...a little over two years she spent dormant has her conditioning to re-adjust her body and tolerance to be a fit thaumaturge once more, ready to burn fields and make a few orphans here and there. Of course she's not averse to making friends too. Quite the loose cannon with her eyes glued to the shine of gil. Though despite her looking for work she's not about to go joining another organization yet. In any case I'll just put my two gil here, because I'm generous but poor enough as it is T_T Whenever I roleplay Keil(formerly _'Keil Tia), I usually don't stick in any of the tail/ear/nose movements except when certain conditions are met or I need them to do something specific that the idle animations can't portray. Say for example Tricky and Atoli approach him at the QS and interact with him. Before I even put his spoken response to them I already try to get the outward actions and movements out of the way. Echoing (heh, echo) the other sentiments here about tail stuff and all that being redundant, I have to agree with those points. The thing is your character is already physical present and it's just plain to see that yes he/she has a tail and cat ears and those two things are doing whatever because I think it's about as unconscious to them as breathing or making one's heart beat. These are just his mannerisms and how I portray that. Because I'm sure people are going to shake their heads at his umm optimistic back story which I'll stick in a wiki soon. So I finally decided to follow what other people are saying and get my sword and board up to 34 for provoke. Since the healer and dps of my most recent hm run, Halatali, realized that I can't hold aggro worth a damn. And I agree with em. So I braced myself to hop into sword and board and grit my teeth until ot reaches 34 and go back to the glorious axe master race. Oh boy was I thrust back into the world of low level tanking as a low level tank. Nothing like the healer keeping cleric stance on and forcing me to rely on bloodbath, fracture, foresight and FoF just to keep my health up since the healer was almost always OOM and not listening to my 'healer cleric stance off please and can you please cast protect?' as well as trigger happy dps that my flash>flash>riot blade>flash just barely holds aggro while they each go piss off a certain mob and then run around so much I cant get a decent flash in. I miss overpower... it's the better half of my flash. Would have also made maintaining group aggro a whole lot more satisfying. Why must gettin gud have to be so tedious and painful? #justnoobtankthings

Kudos to Fina Archer and Trenton Cador for presenting me an alternative 'out' to Kat's problem. But I think I'd like to see my first idea through before Kat goes through the ingredient list. On the Keil front, belated kudos to Vynka Lanore for being the first lengthy IC contact of this miqo. To Kamome for being the absolute first contact. Finally to Atoli Taira and Tricky what'shisname for that wonderfully hilarious session which I hope continues to be funny.

Well the turn out is nice at least. Plus it'd be easy enough to BS some reason they'd all be together in a dungeon. Of course now comes the part of coordinating this and picking out a day where I may not sleep or sleep very late or wake up very early. And Kellach don't worry about Stone Vigil, Nako ran with me on that already...It made me realize things about Tanking and TP management and really really 'trigger happy' BLMs.

Well as it stands I'm still trying to get people on board though if that doesnt work then I think implying interactions after the run will just have to do. Of course with this timetable I think planning it out wont be so hard anymore. It'll also give me the times I can *ehem*beg*ehem* for some equipment but Kat/Kurt is fine as it is. TL;DR TELL TO WIN! LOOK FOR KEIL AMALLE RIGHT NOW. IF YOU'RE ONLINE. Player Search him, should be under the social tab thingy, just press 'p' and go to player search right now and go send him a /tell any /tell and I will find you! In any case, just go out there and send a tell to someone, they don't bite especially if they are from here. At least that's all you have to do. Exhaust your options, take the plunge and just shoot a tell or even walk up and start an IC conversation out of the blue, okay so that's just not possible since your character is shy. Same way Keil can't RP with anyone because he locks up or get tense around other miqo'te and everyone knows 90% of Eorzea are miqo'te! You know you can also send a tell to me and I will drop whatever fate, quest, whatever I'm doing and port to your face with an idea most of the time. If I had your IGN and a list of times you're on, I will personally look for you and engage in jolly cooperation...I mean RP. Timezones be damned! As for the Quicksand, well despite the fact that everyone is there, cliques are formed and that usually means anyone not of the group is going to have hard time getting an RP. My advice, look for people standing around and alone, approach em with a tell see if they want to RP. They're bored and probably just as shy as you are. It all starts with "/tell *player name* Hi, do you want to RP? Maybe we can bounce ideas around?" or something like it and can grow exponentially from there! I also know how daunting it is when everyone seems to be with someone and you just can't find that lone whatever doing the same thing you're doing and feeling the same as well. It'd be rude to interject yourself into their conversation regardless of how interesting it is to your character, which is why /tells are there. It takes a lot of courage but tells are there exactly so you can ask permission to join among other things. I know the feeling of not being noticed, it sucks and I will do what I can to make sure you have yourself a fun time RPing. Sorry if I sound so passionate about this. I was someone who went in here, knew no one, worked, sweated, /telled and got either ignored completely or got stood up mid-way through an RP. I was shy too, so here's a amateurtip: Just think: "This person is just as shy as I am and I just need to make the first move to make the magic happen! That's why they're just standing there." TL;DR TELL TO WIN!

I have a miqo'te who resents his tribal heritage and was raised by an ex merc based near Ul'dah. Long story but that's condensed super tl;dr gist of him. He's currently in Gridania and I can keep him there for a while studying riddles. Though he's tense when dealing with other miqos. That said it's possible your character and mine come from the same tribe. I know his tribe is Thanalan based but I havent set other details in stone. So maybe we can bounce ideas around or not? I dunno.
