  1. Not sure, I'm not to worried about it as its 5 days if i recall, plus i have to work mon-fri ne way so i'll just bask in the glory of ARR after work as a means to unwind lol
  2. woot, i got a lucky ps3 code in my message box when i got home from work today, now i can finally check this out, and finally access the beta forums( I missed used my phase 2 beta key for pc lol)
  3. I usually use beta's to preview character creation options, and get a feel of the game , and some really early game testing. in this situation though being a 1.0 adventurer I really just wanted to personally try out the ps3 version as i'm grabbing a physical collectors edition of ARR for ps3 for the goodies/support the game and have 2 platforms to play on lol. I liked what I saw in the Ps3 UI developer trailer but wanted to do a hands on
  4. omg yes! I got a closed beta code for the ps3 version, i was wanting to test out the feel of it on the console. Leads me to wonder, can we link our beta codes in with our primary square enix accounts from 1.0 ? EDIT: Nvm, i got it lol
  5. As the fated day of Aug 27th draws closer i continually regret missing the chance to use my old beta code when phase 2 was up lol, I'm just trying to be patient so I can just get my account back up and enjoy ARR lol
  6. I am proving to be a master at Overlooking. Wow. Thanks. I saw it immediately when you said it was on the receipt, even though I looked it over earlier. Well, u can always blame it on it being Monday lol
  7. Im not sure, I had the impression the early access came with the pre orders of the current or the legacy folks maybe, sadly Im not sure since i missed out on the timing for the Legacy stuff, but i wanted all the physical art goodness in the ARR Collectors so I had to get a pre order down on that.
  8. The gamestop receipt should have the site link, but its currently not prepped to take our pre order codes yet, checked over the weekend, so just make sure u dont lose it and we should b good to go.
  9. Oh yes, u rock! This will be incredibly useful. In general I do so love working on gathering/crafting in any mmo I play. Outside of being more the type to remain fairly self sufficient in some aspects of my gear, especially any game that sports alchemy and the ability for me to forge my own blades, I tend to find ways to work it into the type of character I use in each mmo, as a lone wanderer/adventurer/adventurer for hire type being able to handle oneself while out exploring and adventuring on their own for extended periods being somewhat self sufficient comes in handy...that and i tend to just enjoy it when theres a good engaging craft/gather system in place lol. I loved gathering/crafting in 1.0 and enjoyed the fact we even got levequests that we could use since I could work it into basic RP in a sense of doing gathering commissions or basic craft commissions for npcs n such while honing my skills. Ty for sharing this and its definitively going into my subscribed folders for reference.
  10. Was a good read, it'll be different compared to 1.0 with not choosing which city nation to start in, but I think it'll all work out since we can change up whenever we want to different classes anyway. I think I'll still start in the same location as I did in 1.0 though, just something about the city that I enjoyed whenever I was in town.
  11. Not sure, I pre ordered the Collectors for ps3, i had originally had the pc physical CE pre ordered online, but upon realizing I wouldnt need nor be able to register the code to my account since im using an existing 1.0 account and since I game on multiple platforms I just decided to grab the ps3 version, it will get used, and i still get the physical art goodies. U may have to inquire about the code, save the hell raising for after u see how they treat u lol
  12. I was just searchign aroudn to inquire about this. I'm using my original 1.0 account but i threw in a pre order for the ps3 version and have the pre order code from that and figured/hoped I could apply that to my main account for the early access and all. the NA link above was what was on my receipt with the code. Since I found this post I dont need to make a thread asking about it lol.
  13. Ah, FF6 references <3 think i'll listen to some Decisive battle repeating a few times when i get into good fighting sprees too heh, one of my all time favorite tracks. I too hope the quest involved in Magitek armor is nice involving one too, with an epic feel *nod*
  14. Never get tired of seeing any wonderful tours of this gorgeous world. Being the type that loves just adventuring and wandering the beauty in the world of this game just adds to that immersion. Omg i cant wait to return lol:moogle:
  15. Definitely awesome to have a solid working 'group' finder in place at launch, especially given the fact its working with the cross platform play. I didnt realize we'd be able to join up with others cross world though, thats quite awesome and should really make tracking down folks to join up for tougher adventurers or quests alot easier. They can take more of my money now! (and in fact they will b once I grab a ps3 version to expand my access to the game lol)
  16. I think i recall reading about that myself. I know the SSD I have now is a nicer one, not as big as I wouldve wanted but its a good start and reliable SSD Brand. Ive got plenty of base hdd space for all other programs so its not a huge deal in the long run, still need to upgrade the HDD space though. Did figure it wouldnt hurt to get some other opinions though.
  17. Ah yea thats right, now that u mention it i remember when I noticed that. ...now back to counting down the days lol
  18. Steam.. wait is ARR going to run through steam?
  19. Seohyun - Kind of similar to my thoughts, just switch off to the tv/couch and just go into full relax casual mode heh. Trickery ur sig looks awesome
  20. Ah, thanks for replying. sounds like the only setbacks to the ps3 version are within the expected that I figured. I think Im entertaining the idea due to at least wanting to get as much out of a purchase of the ARR collectors as well as with my current living setup I thought that when I got rdy to kick back n really unwind in the evening but wanted to game with FFXIV still I could swap out from my gaming pc ,kick back on the couch in front of the big tv screen, grab up a usb keybn keep playing lol. this may convince me to grab a cable for the ps3 though instead of having it connect wireless to my net connection for stability though, hmm thanks again on your input
  21. Upon realizing/remembering that ARR will be cross platform and that we could essentially play our 1.0 characters on either platform if we purchased a ps3 version of the game I was curious if anyone currently is considering doing this for whatever the reason and then also a quick couple of Q's to those of u who managed to get in on the ps3 beta codes: How did you feel toward how FFXIV ran on the console vs the pc version? I just finished watching the developer video showing the Ps3's UI and controls and it to me at least looks like they created a rather solid UI for the console version. I'm mainly curious since not realizing i couldn't apply the registration code that will be coming with the ARR CE Ive pre ordered(physical copy) since i have an existing 1.0 pc code registered, that perhaps I'd consider swapping it out for a ps3 CE pre order. I game across multiple platforms and plan on actually swapping out my ps3 for one with more hdd and passing my old model to the gf so I wouldn't have any issues with sharing game space on my ps3 to play the game there from time to time if I wish. ..I almost feel like ive been posting way more then I need to be on here lately, considering im usually more the silent observe the forums from the shadows type damn ARR anxiety :frustrated:
  22. Overall I think in my opinion at least that many of us will have varying and even similar viewpoints on this. To me I see no right/wrong way to approach it when it comes down to it. One thing that we said in an RP clan i was with in another mmo is that if u dont like the way someone RP's their character you of course are free to not R or interact with them IC'ly. Then again I suspect that a good majority of the folks here will find a way to make things work as it seems to be a rather awesome and open minded community. Sadly I'm not much of a writer or very good with words so tryin to explain things in a strong viewpoint of my own tends to not work well, In the end though I feel the capability to RP while multi classing to me is easily doable.
  23. I tend to to b more a jack of all trades type in a sense, I haven't decided what all ill revisit when I get back in game but I wont b RP'ing just a specific class or role. The type of character I play is a bit more versatile . I can understand y some would prefer to RP a set role or class though lol. Course there's no reason not to incorporate multiclassing either. I always stand by .Playing ur character how u want .In a way that u enjoy. Either way .Works 8-)
  24. I will have to do a comparison when ARR launches heh. most of my games are on a normal drive but after I got a SSD i slid over 3 games that i either found through doing some research showed improvement on a SSD along with the 1 i suspected would show improvement on(and was correct) now I just need to decide if i want to keep my ARR physical CE pre-order for the physical goodies or swap it out to the ps3 version so id have access to playing it on both platforms lol
